Step2 Sand and Water Transportation Station
I've had this for a couple years now. My son likes it a lot. I'm not crazy about it.There is no way to keep the sand and water separate I realize that's a "no duh" thing but there really is no point to having a divided table. The whole table will be soupy wet sand in no time. Even if you have a very careful child the sand and water will get mixed up when they pour sand/water through the funnels. The wet sand is a mess and it takes awhile to dry out. I just put sand in both sides and I don't intentionally add water.
The cover is not waterproof. When it rains, the table gets an inch or so of water in it and the cover protects the rainwater from sun... so the water just sits in there. Heating up. In the dark. With dead bugs in it. There are drain plugs on the bottom of the table, but they are under the sand. If there is a lot of standing water I tip the table over to dump out the water (and a bunch of sand). Word of warning: I sewed a layer of vinyl underneath it. Don't do that, the moisture trapped between the two layers isn't a good thing. Eventually the cover blew away (I'd put it under one of the legs while the sand was drying out). Now I just keep the table in a sunny spot on the porch and it is usually dry (has some debris mixed in, but it's dry).
The cover does not protect the table from insects. They can get in from the sides, and there is also a big hole in the center of the table (like for an umbrella).
Don't put gravel in the table. I bought a bag of sandbox sand thinking "sand is sand". The chunks were too big to go through the funnels and the trays were a muddy mess.
Sand in the table isn't great either. I cleaned out the gravel and bought a bag of play sand (very fine, neon colored) that works with the funnels, but it also clogs up the moving parts. The wheels on the cars don't turn, the spinners don't spin, the tippy thing is jammed.
Rice works okay (had the table indoors for awhile), but then you can't use water.
Water-only provides optimal performance, but then you don't have a sandbox. If you don't have a bathtub or room for a kiddy pool this table would be great for playing in the water.
My son still likes the table a lot. Compared to a regular sandbox it's smaller, and it's raised. So it can sit in the corner of a small porch, it's pretty easy to move around, you don't have to buy as much sand (I bought a couple bags, used half a bag to fill the table and so I have plenty of extra sand to replace/restore), and your kid(s) won't be sitting in a pile of sand (although they can still dump it on themselves). My son likes the funnels and cars, and moving sand from one side to the other.
My 5 year old and 18 month old play with this toy daily.I have only sand in it, but when it warms up, I will take sand out and put water only.I don't like the mess of sand and water.They have made a sand soup and it didn't impress me.If you don't mind to clean up a little sand here and there. You can relax and watch your kids play at least 20-30 minutes every day.Two to 3 kids can play together. It doesn't take much space, cover is vey secure.

My 2 year old loves, loves, loves this toy. He will get lost in play for hours it seems. I love that he has the opportunity to play with sand without having to sit in it. He loves to play with water and it is simple to refill time and time again. My only 2 complaints are that the sand doesn't seem to pour through the spouts. They always get clogged. Also, I wish there were an easier way to drain water without having to tip the whole thing over. Right now we are using it as just a water table, the mixing of the sand and water is quite messy and I think we will try it again when he is a bit older. This water table is absolutely fantastic. We have owned it about a year... got it when my daughter had just turned one, and now she is almost two.She has played with it every single day.There is so much more to this than a normal water table because of the train and train paths and tracks and the 3 funnels with different kinds of water wheels.Of course it also has the two compartments for water and sand (we always just use water) and the sail boats. The Step2 Sand and Water Transportation Station is great fun for our 17 month old granddaughter.She had so much fun playing and splashing her hands in the water and making the water wheels turn.I purchased a child's umbrella from Lowes and placed it in the hole in the center of the table, works great.We are planning on taking it to the beach this summer.The table holds 2 gallons of water on each side and when finished playing, just let the plugs out and the water drains.There is a nice durable cover that comes with it and fits perfect until the next playtime begins.Would highly reccommend this for a 12 month 3 year old to have fun with.

One thing about reviewing products is the great time I have trying them out. Crayola is the first name in fun for kids and the tabletop art easel is a perfect item for kids to use anytime. Crayola Art Easel is one product that has both my kids sitting and creating for hours.The easel fits on any tabletop and can travel is you have a big enough car or mini-van. It comes with a handy carry handle that allows the kids to feel more grown up. The assembly was very easy and all directions are right on the box.
The kit includes markers, colored pencils, crayons, watercolors and paper. Also there are slide out trays to hold each items and storage is very easy, as is the cleanup. One thing I was impressed with was the inclusion of non-slip feet make the easel stay in place.
While your child is creating and becoming the next Picasso there is a tray in the front of the easel to hold the items as they work. The snap on clip that comes with the easel makes a great addition to kit, as paper will not slide around while they draw or paint.

This is non-toxic with the markers and paint washable. The crayons and watercolors are certified CP with the markers and pencils certified AP. To clean the clothing that might have the watercolor paint on, it is advised to not use pre-wash or chlorine bleach. This should also be kept away from wallpaper, painted walls, finished and unfinished wood and vinyl.
My son had this from the time he was four to seven and liked it but did prefer his magna doodle over it.The set up is easy with all the pieces fitting into each other by slots. In order to use the easel correctly the two purple trays must be situated just right in the red container. This can work two ways because if you do not want to use the green stand you can move the trays out a bit and turn around to then slide the paper under the clip and start drawing, painting or coloring. The clip is also removable and easy to snap into place. When you are storing this you place the clip and paper supplies under the trays. We had paint stains on many spots, but they were easy to remove with a cloth or a wipe.
To use the stand you would lift up the red and blue sections and place the stand in the slots provided. The two purple trays can be removed before doing this to have the supplies close at hand and not having to turn this around and over.
Both of the purple trays have a small section for the watercolor tray. When the easel is being used there is a small groove that will hold two markers and one pencil. The trays can even slide in upside down. The one down fall to this is if you are using it for portable reasons it gets loud with the items moving about in there.

We purchased this air hockey table for our children for hanukkah this year.The order was placed with plenty of time for it to arrive.However, it did not get to us until almost a month late and to top everything off, it did not work!!Once my husband put it together (with directions that did not help at all) there was something wrong with the score board as soon as you would start a game, it would automatically give a goal to one of the players and then not allow any more scoring for the game.According to all of the paper work, we were to contact the maker.We called the 800 number that was provided and never received a return phone call or speak with a human being.The table is boxed up and ready to go back to where it came from!!the only reason that this review even has 1 star is because I could not submit the review without it otherwise it would have no stars!!
Bought the table used in "Good" condition.Found it had been damaged during assembly/disassembly and had to do repairs while assembling.Was disappointed to find that the puck does not go through the slot and depends on sensors to determin a goal.The sensors worked intermittantly, which pretty much made the whole thing worthless.

Works fairly well but with all charts or games that supply the answer for you, there could be little learning going on UNLESS the child uses it to check answers.One other use of the multiplier is to select a product and then try to guess the factors before looking at where the feet are pointing to.I bought this product because I LOVED the monkey math balance toy.That one is great for figuring out missing addends.It also visually reinforces the idea that both sides of an equation MUST be balanced (equal).As you might be able to discern, I'm an elementary school teacher.I have used Monkey Math successfully with K-2 grades.I bought the multiplier simply for the fun value.The reason I only gave it 2 stars for durability is that the product answer can be off by a fraction but easily adjusted.However, with a classful of students playing with it, which I have not done yet, I am wondering if it would hold up.

Hasbro Whac-A-Mole Game
My son has been asking for this game for weeks, so we got it for him for Christmas. I admit, I thought it might be cheaply made, not to mention aggravating just by virtue of the "whacking".The moles themselves do not pop up. Rather, a light under their helmets go off, as well as a specific sound (for the easy game). For the hard game, it's sound only.
Initially, there is a "sign in" period where you whack the mole that you want to be yours. This tells the game how many are playing (unless you chose the solo game). You are then told to listen for the sound of your particular mole. Each game, the sound is different. It could be a bird whistle, a cat's meow, a dog bark, Duh!, Yoohoo!, Yeah!, etc. You're then told to listen for the bonus sound.
You get a point when you whack your own mole, as well as when you whack your mole when the bonus sound is made. At the end of the game, you're told who won, and how many points each player got.
My son is 6, and is sometimes not quick enough. But this game is great for reflexes, hand/eye coordination, etc. It's a blast to play, and my son enjoys it, too...sometimes even requesting the hard version! (although it's even more challenging for him to play audio only). Because the sounds change every game, it teaches listening skills and keeps the game fresh.
The plastic hammers are really soft, so they won't do a whole lot of damage should your child choose to use them elsewhere! We've banged the heck out of this game so far, and have had no trouble with its performance...it works perfectly.

This was a birth day gift for my 3 yr old daughter. It has 3 options to play "solo", "easy" and "hard" (for advanced players). She loved the game! But after an hour of playing the "easy" option, it stopped playing!
It did not fall and she did not "wack" it that hard (afterall the game is supposed to be sturdy). The only option that would play (after 4 new battery changes) was "hard". I'm so sad, I now have to send this gift back to Amazon and hopefully get another.

Bought this at an outlet for $6 or 8 bucks.The name was vaguely familiar and liked the idea of an action game.We have had no problems for 9 months, still working great.The time element brings out the competative spirit (watch those fingers).My spouce and I play regularly and it has held up fine.It is still a fun break from too many educational toys, and still promotes speed and real focus.Our 4 and 6 year olds cannot play each other because the older one will bully the younger until she just stops.Like every other game, parental involvement is needed (such a pity so many find this a negative). I bought this game for a birthday gift for my 3 year old and after a month it just quit working in the middle of a game.It just got slower and slower until it quit. I tried new batteries and it did nothing.We may have played it five times in the month that he had it.I called Hasbro and they said they would send me a replacement but the game was back ordered and could take several months for me to receive it.My son was crushed that it did not work so I went out and bought him a new one.I decided that when the replacement one came from Hasbro I would just give it as a gift, I mean what are the chances of getting two games that don't work.We played the new one a couple of times the day I purchased it and put it back in the box and up in the closet.We got it out today and only the solo and hard levels work.I changed the batteries and still only had two levels working.Ironically we received the one that was back ordered today and it seems to work fine right now so I was spared having to see him disappointed again.I placed another call to Hasbro and asked them if they had any other complaints or had any recalls on the game I told them this was the second Whac-A-Mole that I have had problems with.They acted like I was the first person with a problem with it.They would not replace this game.I wish that I had read the reviews on this game prior to buying it and I hope my review will discourage someone from buying it now!Do not disappoint your child with this game.

This piece of crap toy didn't work. I never saw a single pack of mischievous monkeys; no crazy hunter; no angry rhinoceros. That said, however, a old 'n' hairy comedian emerged within the first 10 minutes of playing. He was cool, I guess, but he wouldn't stop playing with my electric toothbrush.

Got this art set as a gift to a 6 year old.There are numerous markers and pastels as well as paint.It comes with paper and a great carrying case.For the price and the amount of fun a child can get from this art set it's easily one of the better items you can get for a child to allow them to have fun and be creative.The art supplies are all durable and did not come dried out or lacking in quality;really great quality colors and worked 100%.
Camp Board Game
This game is the answer for playing family games that are interesting for players from young children to adults.It combines the fun of a board game with learning about nature and the outdoors.Board games are often targeted to either young children (and thus a little boring for older players) or to older children/adults (and thus too hard for younger children).Some adult skill-level games have youth versions but the questions would be too easy for adults playing along. Family members of different ages and abilities can play this game together and each be challenged.
The secret is in the question cards.There are 4 levels of questions on each card; all the question are on the same topic.Level 1 questions are very very easy: something like "what animal is in this picture?"Each level increases in difficulty to Level 4 which has fairly difficult questions about that animal.Some question cards entitle the player to take a shortcut.One person needs to be able to read but that same person could read the questions for all players because you need the decoder to see the answer.
Players shake a die to move along the game board.If the player lands on a space with white footprints, the turn ends.If the player lands on a space with green footprints, the player gets a question.If the player answers correctly, the player can shake the die and move again.If incorrect, the turn is over.
Along the way there are spaces that send a player back to the camp clubhouse.When a player goes there, the player (or someone else playing who can read) reads a fun fact.These cards are simply educational; there is no need to answer anything on them.
This game would be perfect for a family that has children of different ages/abilities who enjoys nature and the outdoors or for the parents or grandparents to play along with the children.
This is a great family game.I have a 5 and 8 year old and they both love it, as well as my husband.The different levels challenge everyone and the Fun Facts are very educational.It's ok, not as much fun as other reviewers made it sound. We played with a 9 yr old, 2 14 yr olds & 2 adults, the levels were fine. Level one ridiculously easy, basically look at photo and identify animals.Finally we gave up on board game part and simply asked the questions, which was a good around the campire activity.
For what it is worth, I think game is overpriced and could have just been trivia cards.

I was excited to get a game that had various levels to include the whole family but it did not live up to expectations.The questions are good. The real flaw in the game is the board itself.There are too many spaces where no question is asked.It is possible to go around the entire board without getting a single question.It is also possible to win the game without answering a single question. A little of our own "Thomas" history... Kidkraft Brighton Table - White
We looked long and hard both online and in stores for a table that our daughter could use for a number of years to come.She is a tall 6 year old with two older brothers (8 and 9).After finding this table online, we waited before ordering.Now that we have the table, we like it very much.It is extremely sturdy and has a nice paint finish.My daugher is thrilled with the drawer.We also purchased 4 of the Brighton chairs in various colors.This set fits all three of our children and they enjoy playing kitchen or eating lunch together.We recommend this table and think that it may be a piece of furniture that our daughter can hand down to her daughter.
I sent an email to the company to explain the problem. They finally sent the chair 2 weeks later, but I still have not gotten a response on the broken table after nearly one month! To make matters worse, the chair they sent had a rotten leg. So it broke the very first time my fifty pound daughter sat on it!!

I bought this table and 4 KidKraft Brighton Chairs in pastel colors for my girls' bedroom.The girls ages are 7 and 9.I was a little concerned that the table may be too small for them and it is actually perfect!The table is much larger than it appears. We also have a 5 year old son who sits with them and colors, draws, etc.I've even joined them a few times.They also sit and eat snacks together.The table has a great finish but we went ahead and purchased a piece of glass for the top of it just to preserve the finish.The drawer is just too cute.It holds their scissors, glue, pencils and crayons.This table is very well made, easy to put together and very durable.I would highly recommend it to anyone considering purchasing a table set!

I recently bought this table as well as 4 of the matching chairs.I couldn't be more pleased with them.They were very easy to assemble and I like the the hardware is hidden so it looks like real furniture.The table top had a problem from the shipping (which is bound to happen sometimes).Part of the drawer slide had come loose however, all of the boxes came with a full sheet of paper with an 800 number (in large bold print) to call if there were any problems.I left a message Friday night (after they were closed for the weekend) and I got a call back from the company the next Monday morning.They were lovely to work with and are sending out a new piece free of charge.I would absolutely recommend this set.I would however remind people to notice the measurements listed.A common complaint seems to be that the set was bigger than people had thought.I took the dimensions and mapped it out to make sure it would fit in the space.I was specifically looking for a bigger table (I have 4 kids) and I wanted a taller chair seat height so that we would be able to use it for many years to come.I would compare it to Pottery Barn Kids for quality without having to pay the high prices for the name.
