JOOLA Inside Table Tennis Table

So after researching every table out there for $400 or less, I decided on the Joola Inside, and I'm VERY pleased.First of all, assembly was simple... this is a big deal if you are aware of all the horror story reviews out there regarding assembly of similarly priced tables. It comes almost completely assembled,all you have to do is assemble the wheel brackets. Piece of cake. It very well made, and extremely solid. It's a 2-piece table, so none of the mismatch concerns that plague some of the 4-piece tables (beware the 4-piece tables!). The two halves line up perfectly. Very easy to roll and fold up for storage. Can't imagine why you'd need more unless you absolutely must have a thicker surface (a legitimate concern for advanced players, but not for the average recreational player).Low price, but in no way says "cheap". Highly recommended!!!

First of all KUDOS to Amazon for such quick delivery....Table only took two days to deliver even here is Wyoming which usually takes considerably longer.CEVA was shipper.As for the table, it comes FULLY assembled!!!!Except for the stands which the rollers connect to.I was under the impression that I would have much "put-together time", but not so.It is also quite HEAVY.The box was plastic wrap-secured to a wooden pallet, but even after removing pallet, the box weighs somewhere in the neighborhood of 170-190 pounds....

The table comes pre-assembled with fold out legs that are quiet sturdy.After five minutes to secure additional legs and wheels with two adjustable wrenches, the table is ready to stand upright.Leveling is made easy by adjusting wheels and attached leg stoppers.Directions for assembling table suffer in translation, but anyone of average intelligence can figure it out.

Lastly secure net with provided spring-tensioned vices and voila!!!!Ready to play.

Table is sturdy, stable and built to last...If you're in the market for an affordable, well-designed, and easy to assemble table which should provide years of enjoyment, look no further.

We bought this table a month ago after looking at a dozen others on line, and reading all the reviews. The table arrived ahead of the committed date, it was very simple to set up my son and i had it up in less than 30 minutes. The table comes in two parts so is very easy to bring into a basement. The boys have been playing on it for several hours a day, with their friends and so far there have been no issues at all. we love it and would recommend it to anyone who wants a indoor table.

We ordered this table on Aug 4 and it arrived at our home on Aug 22.We had hoped to get it sooner, there was a bit of a mix up in the tracking of the shipment.But we are very pleased with this table.It arrived mostly assembled, just needed to add the wheel legs at the bottom.The table itself is quite sturdy and folds up easily either for individual play or storage.Though we had slight damage in the connection of one of the legs not being secured underneath, Amazon was gracious in their customer service to help satisfy our purchase.Even Joola, the manufacturer, was helpful.For the price, I would definitely recommend this table.

There are two comments to make which are small points:

1.Edging is prone to splitting off.I had to glue one piece (perhap damaged in moving to basement).Its wise to put a little bit of black electrical tape on each corner to both stop this and take away the sharp edge

2.The net is very high quality, but instructions are not clear.You need to remove the barral from inside the posts feed the net onto it (all the way down) and then insert the net + barral back into each post and screw up the thread.It is a little tight, but once done it works very well and is a solid and sturdy net.

Having now got this set up I expect many years of use out of this product

Classic Wood Folding Chess Set

I bought this chess set to keep at our summer house for our use and those that stay here. We have enjoyed the set as my son and I play often. The board is not as flimsy as a cardboard one and is more stable as you have to turn it over to set the board. On the inside there are elastic bands to put the pieces in when storing, but they are a bit troublesome, so we simply put them back in the plasitc bags they arrived in. The pieces are small, but of appropriate size for the board and also for adult hands to play with them. Overall, this is an okay product. I would buy it again.

This set is OK. The board, is 14 3/4 inches square. It looks nice when it is open, but doesn't close completely even when latched (there is about a 1/8 inch gap on one side.) This may just be a problem with the one I got, but it bugs me a little. What bugs me alot is that the elastic that holds the pieces in place on the inside broke after about the 4th time it was used. Now 3 of the pieces are always loose inside when the set is closed.

The chessmen are wood. They are not very detailed, but they aren't bad. The king is 3 inches tall and about 1 inch in diameter at the base. Honestly, the pieces look a little small on the board to me, but you can always get bigger pieces.

If you're looking for a decent chess set that folds up and keeps everything in one place (even if the pieces rattle around inside), I'd say this was a pretty good set.

It looks like I'm in the minority on this product.Perhaps my expectations were too high.My issue is with the quality and attention to detail in this board.I've played chess for over 25 years and used everything from wood and metal boards to Chessmaster.The design was aesthetically very poor; little to no effort was put into making the Knight look like a horse and the Kings were marginally differentiated from the queen.The execution of the design was worse; cut lines in the bishops weren't straight or clean while pieces of felt were still stuck to random parts of the pieces.The boad itself is simple particle board.I undrstand these are "hand carved" pieces but this thing made me feel like it was something my 4-year old niece would have done.If you read my other reviews you will see that, for the most part, I am not a curmudgeon or extremely picky.But this thing just got mailed back to Amazon.

This seat works just fine ignore the reviews from people who say it is too tight.My daughter is on the chubby side ("Michelin Baby" her pediatrician says) and she fits in and out just fine.The tight fits that other parents talk about are caused by improper assembly of the chair itself if the wooden platform that the child sits on is installed too far forward in the chair frame, it will definitely make it hard/impossible to fit a child into this seat.But if you follow the instructions and place the seat as per the instructions, the only child that wouldn't fit would be a 40-pound, 6-month-old behemoth.Get this and enjoy!

The Baby Set matches our Tripp Trapp in the same color perfectly. It was very easy to install on the Tripp Trapp, and it's been very easy to use. Ease of use is wonderful. It seems very comfortable for our baby who has been using it for about 3 months now. My only complaint is that the harness feels a little clumsy. Specifically the front strap between the legs. It constantly gets caught underneath our baby's bottom or out the leg hole when we place the baby in the seat. It's an awkward operation to get it where it should be, however it's not enough to deter me from using the harness or the Baby Set.

The play set was exactly what I was expecting a fun toy with numerous possibilities for imaginative play. I like the fact that it is made from WOOD and is quite sturdy, comes with a variety of little features, combines a child's love for cars AND trains(unlike so many other garage toys) and is compatible with other train and car sets, such as Thomas & Friends and Matchbox. The roads, the garage and the elevator of the garage are big enough for all sorts of cars and little trucks, Matchbox and the like. My son, who loves trains and cars, received this toy for his third birthday and loved it. Atlantis Rising

I love Pandemic (4 Stars), and Factory Fun (5 Stars).

When I saw a cooperative game from Z-Man Games, I decided to buy it speculatively.

Well, its a huge disappointment. The rule book is poorly written, vague, with several typographical errors and several misspellings. If the rules were better set out, the rest would be a minimal problem, I'm not a grammar Nazi by any means.

So, we took several efforts at playing the games, several of which were invalidated because of a difficulties interpreting the rules. After playing it, the pace of the game is too difficult and the actual play is dry.

I think this game is an attempt to bridge over to more successful Euro-games like Settlers of Catan (based on the resources and the "pirate ship" attacking), or Carcassone (based on the use of followers and allocation of them for performing tasks) and Z-Man was more focused on making the Euro game, with glass beads, wooden cubes, wooden man-pieces, etc. than making a good, playable game.

The map board is comprised of 37 sections, which includes a center hexagon and 6 arms of six pieces each (The overall shape is an asterisk...or a six-armed starfish), which represent resource production, resource conversion, getting relatively worthless knowledge cards and acquiring new people to allocate to get more work done. to complicate matters, the board is sinking and pieces are flipped over and the areas get less productive as the get closer to the center hexagon. Part of the frustration of the game lies in the constant drawing of misfortune cards which frequently invalidate any plans you might have made. You station followers on a particular segment of the island, it sinks and you lose those followers for the turn. You try to balance the number of followers to ward off the "pirate ship" (The Athenians) and you use courage markers (although the rules don't show you what a courage marker looks like...its only by process of elimination we figured this out) which add to the value of the defenders...but you lose the courage markersbecause of a misfortune card...or you draw a panic card which make your followers run one section the wrong way, making them ineffectual if you chose to put them in cities, trying to get more followers.

Each turn there are five phases (sounds like Power Grid? Maybe that is reaching too far...).

1. Allocate followers

2. Draw misfortune cards (one per player)

3. Roll for resources

4. Defend against Athenians

5. Build parts of the Cosmic Gate. (The players win if they build 10 pieces of the cosmic gate)

Its too difficult to get courage markers, followers are largely restricted to making more followers the first couple of turns. Mystic power crystals (glass beads) are too difficult to get in relation to the number of people you have to allocate to the defense against the Athenians. You are losing segments of the island, making your followers inactive for the turn. You lose them to misfortune cards and potentially to Athenians.

The action deck is a little too small in Pandemic (although its balanced to shorten the game), the misfortune deck in this game is too large. Too MANY random things that occur to complicate planning and make this game more of a slot machine than a game of strategy. It takes less time to setup Pandemic if you want to run against the game a second time than it does to setup Atlantis Rising. Its not that long, but the island sections are VERY slightly difficult to align and get in the correct order to play. Also, you have to constantly realign the island segments as you flip numerous island sections over at different times. The entire board will drift across the table because of this alignment issue. Like I mentioned above, the knowledge cards are relatively weak compared to the amount of time and manpower required to acquire them.

The last game we played took less time than it did for my computer to run a full security scan, so I guess the game isn't that long.

Atlantis Rising gives you a chance to lead your party to safety after the Atlanteans realize disaster is eminent. As a cooperative game, it's also enjoyable solitaire. Nicely done.

I ordered this game from Amazon. It was fulfilled from Amazon UK. When it arrived I noticed the box had some French on it, but the title, Atlantis Rising, was in English. I thought maybe it was bilingual. Imagine my surprise when I opened the box and the entire game was in French.

I'm completely baffled as there is nothing in the description saying it is a French game, and none of the reviewers mention anything either. I'm assuming there must be an English version somewhere, but if you order from Amazon, you may get the French version like I did.

Amazon UK said they will check their fulfillment center for an English version, but I'd really like to know why Amazon is selling a non-English version of something with absolutely no indication.If this ever gets straightened out I will revise my review. After I pay the postage to return this version that is--apparently I can't get a prepaid label for an overseas shipment, though they did say I will be reimbursed for the shipping. Not a great experience all around.

4/9/13 UPDATE

I've just been informed that Amazon UK has nothing but the French edition of the game. So unless you speak French, I don't advise purchasing (as Amazon will send your order to Amazon UK).

In the hopes that there is an English version somewhere, I will write to Amazon.

I have played this game at least 8o times (no joke)...it is difficult, but different every time. I have played with 2 players, 3 players, 6 players, and once the expansion comes out, BEYOND!. As long as you focus on collecting workers first and never forget to defend, your chances of winning are slightly better. Win or lose, this game is always a good time! My advice, play it more than once! Definitely a great investment!

The Bachmann HO Overland Limited Train Set is an absolutely beautiful train set if all you want to do is look at it. If you want to operate the Overland Limited Set or play with it, BUY SOMETHING ELSE: The wheels fall off and will not stay on as the train navigates the snap-fit tracks built for it. The Train does not get around the entire loop of tracks without losing nearly all its wheels on the main car as well as the accompanying nine cars. Flipping the switch on the terminal rerailer amounts to a derailment because the wheels can't handle turns. The worst part is the merchants selling this product know this and will not accept returns or issue refunds or exchanges once the item has been opened. It is a very expensive Train Set which is frustrating especially when I think about the fact that I purchased it as my kid's first really expensive toy for $198.60 and my kid didn't play with it for more than five minutes before the wheels fell off. Mind you, this is just while he is watching the train navigate the snap-fit tracks.

I've read all the other reviews. I've been wanting to get into the hobby for over ten years. Every time I regain interest, I read reviews from people who have bought the same product I'm looking for. I usually allow them to scare me off. This time the "Overland Limited" caught my eye.

I didn't want to spend a bunch of dough on something I may loose interest in or that would give me a hard time. After reading the reviews I was a bit apprehensive. In fact I put off buying it for nearly a month before I just figured that the complaints were all from people who might not have read or followed the directions.

Some of the wheel assemblies had fallen off in transit, just like the included information mentions. They are very easy to replace and there's been no problems with that happening since.

The track snaps together quite simply and if you follow the directions and check for smoothness at the joints when you're done, you won't have derailments.

There was a complaint that the freight cars looked like toys. Well, they are toys. If you want one that doesn't look like a toy then plan on either doing some weathering or paying a lot more money for something else.

The only thing I wish was a bit better is the headlight. I think it should be just a bit brighter. Everything else is fine with me and I'm tickled pink to have it.

Purchased the Bachmann Overland Express Limited for my 9yo.Simple to assemble and get running.The large and highly detailed locomotive runs well and pulls all the rolling stock around the oval at a comfortable speed.This was our first time with liquid smoke and enjoyed this feature tremendously.Upon unpacking, be careful to snap in place all the wheels/axles that may have popped off the rolling stock during shipping.My son has enjoyed this train set and has spent many hours with it over the course of the month.I would not recommend this set for much younger than 8yo as the details are a quite delicate and re-railing the locomotive requires a bit more dexterity and patience than most 7 year olds possess.

A few hints when building on to this set:When adding additional track, it is recommended to use 22" radius or larger track just due to the length of the locomotive.If you do choose to use 18" radius track, do not create tight "S" curves without a straight piece between the opposing curves.We have gotten the over-sized locomotive to work smoothly with 18" curves but with some amount of track massaging and careful attention to close the gaps between track sections.A simple, yet visually unappealing way to get around all this is to remove the rear truck from the locomotive which is attached by a single small phillips-head screw (the rear truck is located directly underneath the cab).One other item of note is that this locomotive cannot pull more than 5 rolling stock up an incline if you wish to create an over-under figure 8 type track most likely due to the amount of power put out by the power pack and not the locomotive drive motor.

I bought this train for my husband for Christmas. He has always been a fan of HO-sized trains but hasn't owned one since his youth. The detail on the train is very fine and accurate. The train tracks were easily assembled, but you do need to pay attention to ensure the tracks like up well (not difficult, but we suggest that you run your finger along the top of the rails as we had 2 instances where a rail had popped-up above the adjoining rail, which was easily fixed by disconnecting and carefully reconnecting.)

This is a lovely train with a working headlamp and smoke. However, the train would not be a good fit for very young children due to the fine and somewhat fragile detailing on the cars.

Stiga T0801 Table Tennis Table Cover

This product is so inferior it should not be on the market.I have an outdoor table tennis table, and I covered my table for protection with this product.When I removed the cover, the table top had been ruined with a marbleized, oily-appearing pattern over the entire table.It does not wash off with detergent and water or with ammonia and water.This product has ruined the appearance of my table.It is very distracting for good ping pong playing.My other complaint about the product is that there is no protection for the corners.The material rips with the first use.I suspected this from reading other reviews, and I protected all corners with a pad to avoid this.But the oil-like marbleization is cause to go back to the drawing board with this product.

Made in China. It lasted for exactly 2 days. Some gusty wind, just a tad stronger than the 'gentle brezze' level, easily shredded it and blew it away one night. My wife found its remains 300 yards away, in the woods. Buy this and you WILL be sorry.
