Lucky L11

I started pool league this year with some friends when they needed a 5th.

After borrowing their cues for the first two months, I finally sprang for my own cue and bag.

This cue works great for that, the tip was great, my friend who's played for a few years was impressed at that.

And since it doesn't break the bank,I don't feel bad if I forget it in the cold of my car at the end of the night.

TL;DR This is a great starter cue.

Sorry

For those of you complaining that this game is too simplistic for adults, try playing the adult version! This is the true game and not at all like the simple kids version. The game is described on the Sorry! rules sheet. Instead of the cards being drawn one at a time as in the kid's version, each player is dealt a five card hand. This opens a whole new level of strategy as the game then becomes dependent not so much on the luck of the draw, but how the cards are played! With these rules the game can be played for a lifetime and never grow stale.

My brother and I used to play this game for hours on end. Yes, we would send each other back to the beginning of the game while laughing our little heads off in amusement. If you play the game enough, everyone gets a chance to win. So, most times we would play this until each person had a chance to win. A great colorful game with easy to move pawns. Great family fun, but easy enough for kids to take out the game on a rainy day and entertain themselves.

~The Rebecca Review

Buy Sorry Now

Even my 4-year-old can play this game with ease (albeit with someone older reading the cards until he got familiar with the rules). The skills required to play the game are skills that transfer easily to everyday life...decision-making, strategizing, taking setbacks in stride...plus it's tons of fun!I highly recommend this game to both kids and adults.

Read Best Reviews of Sorry Here

Like its cousin, Trouble, the game Sorry is quite simple in design. The reality, however, is that it is both an entertaining and surprisingly educational board game. It now comes packaged in a convenient library case (Note this is a different item, also available on Amazon). The library case makes storage easier, and it also makes it simpler for kids to get games out of the shelf without a parent helping. (why did it take so long for someone to think of this?)

The simple rules: up to 4 players each begin with 4 tokens in the "start" area. Players take turns drawing from a deck of cards and moving pieces as indicated, trying to be the first to get all pieces to the "home" space. The cards offer some nice twists beyond simply moving forward:

1 = move 1 space forward or move a piece out of start

2 = move 2 spaces forward or move a piece out of start, draw again

4 = move backward 4 spaces (occasionally an advantage)

5, 8, 12 = move forward that number of spaces

7 = move 1 or 2 pieces a total of 7 spaces forward

10 = move forward 10 or backward 1

11 = move forward 11 or switch one of your pieces with an opponents piece

"Sorry" = take a piece from your start and replace a piece of your opponent's, send them back to start. Be sure to say "Sorry!" in a way that makes it clear that you really aren't.

And that's pretty much it. The game is simple enough that most kids who can count and recognize numbers can grasp the basics. With a little parental coaching, younger siblings can play on near-equal footing with their older brothers and sisters (Note the older sibs do NOT think this is fair). However, the fun (and the teaching) comes with all of the choices. Should a player use the all of the 1's and 2's to get all 4 pieces out on the board, or should he focus on getting one piece at a time to safety? Should a player switch places with an opponent's piece and help herself, even if that helps her opponent too? How should he split up a 7? Working through these possibilities is a challenge for younger players, but a worthwhile one.

Probably the biggest lessons Sorry teaches, though, are sportsmanship, the ability to dealt with setbacks, and the idea of not giving up when things aren't going well (Sorry is the ultimate "it's not over to it's over" game). Having a piece that is near the finish get suddendly sent back to start can be temporarily devastating to a young child. Don't expect them to take it well the first time it happens. Here, parents can teach the best way to deal with disappointment by their own good example. Kids who learn these lessons at age 6 in a board game will be less likely to melt down at age 7 on the soccer or T-ball field. For all of these reasons, Sorry is a great family game. It is fun, but it is also educational without ever feeling like a lesson. 5 stars.

Red Tool Box 8 Pieces Toolset

• Includes 2 screwdrivers
• Includes hammer
• Includes tape measure, Clamp, File, Hand Saw and goggles

Purchased this for my 9-year-old son, who loves it, and has been repairing little things around the house since Christmas (tightening loose cabinets, etc.).

The Amazon description says that this set contains 2 screwdrivers one Philips-head, and one flathead. There is no flathead screwdriver in this set just two Philips.

Not a huge deal, but a strange omission, since having both types of screwdriver would be far more useful than having 2 sizes of one type.

Other than that, the tools appear to be good quality, and are sized right for smaller hands.

Other sets are available, but it may be better to consult the Red Toolbox websitefirst, so you have an accurate description of what you're getting.

There's not too much you can say about a marker and this one is no exception.So...

Fiber tip.You depress it to initially start the flow of ink. After that it stays full.

The "oil-base" that is mentioned isn't oil. It's a solvent that quickly evaporates, leaving the pigment behind.I'm not sure that I'd want to spend all day in a closed room using these!

The marker housing is an aluminum tube.

Lastly, the black marker is nice and opaque.

Barbie Legally Blonde 2 Elle Woods Doll Reese Witherspoon

I bought her for my 7 year old,who is a fan of legally blonde.

My daughter does play acting with her while watching the movies 1 and 2.I also purchased the bag that came with the Chihuahua for my daughter. The dolls clothing is very detailed right down to the lining for the skirt and her clip on pass just like in the movie.I believe these dolls can be educational in using dressing abilities, snaps, velcro, matching colors etc...

Wish No More was amazing to work with. I ordered my Elle Woods Barbie and got it three days later. It was packaged well and came in great condition.

I highly recommend buying from this seller and getting this doll. I cannot wait to give it to a special someone as a BDAY gift!

Medieval Knight Dragon Battle Carved Chess Game Set

The board itself is really heavy. All the pieces are very detailed and are a nice weight--they do not look or feel "cheap". The sides of the board have castle mosaics "carved" into it and the gilt dragons, like the pieces, are extremely detailed and quite lovely. The actual playing board that goes on top is gold and silver with "cracking" to make it look aged/antique. This was well worth the money!

I gave this to my 16-year old nephew and he was thrilled with it. The entire family marveled at the detail and how rich and classy this board is.

I purchased this chess set for my husband and was not disappointed. The only negative comment about the board is it is extremely heavy due to the dragon heads at each corner. This is not a problem for me but should be considered when purchasing as a gift. It is beautiful and the pieces are, indeed, carved to look like medieval knights, Kings, Queens, etc. One 'side' has pieces made to look bronzy and one 'side' has pieces made to look like pewter.

The downside of the purchase is the pieces are made of something resembling plastic so break very easliy. My husband is disabled and soon after I purchased the chess set, he tripped over the leg of the table it was sitting on. The entire board and all the pieces flew into the air and landed on the carpet. Probably 80% of the pieces broke. This was very disappointing. I did not expect them to break that easily and now have to find new pieces so we can play again.

I would recommend this board as long as the purchaser considers the weight of the board and breakability of the pieces.

My 12 year old son and I were in a shop at the Excalibur in Las Vegas when he spotted a medieval chess set very similar to this one priced at $265.I nearly bought it because we were very impressed with the unique detailing; however I was not confident in transporting it back home from vacation. After returning I began my search for the same set and came across this item, and after reading the reviews decided to make the purchase. I could not be happier with this set!The pieces are wonderfully intricate and the board itself is quite substantial and heavy.I would encourage anyone looking for a medieval themed set to order this. The price is fantastic for the quality.Although we have played with this set several times, I would not suggest use by small children as the pieces are more on the fragile/delicate side and would probably not sustain a fall or rough handling.I also purchased a marble and onyx set from Amazon to display in my living room which was also an excellent purchase-giving it the same 5 star rating

Lionel Polar Express Wolves and Rabbits Animal Pack

• Includes four rabbit figures
• The perfect complement to Lionel?s The Polar Express O-Gauge Train Set
• Relive your favorite scenes from this beloved movie and book
• Additional add-on cars and accessories also available in Lionel?s The Polar Express line

First of all, the product picture shows 6 wolves. The description does state 3 wolves but the picture is misleading.Second, the pack I rec'd had light brown wolves with black highlights on their back and look nothing like the picture or the wolves in the movie which appeared to be gray wolves. These look more like German Shepherds than wolves. The wolves also do not look like they are running like they appear in the picture, they appear to be just standing. For $25, I expected better than this and at least get what is pictured.I have a detailed Polar Express train layout and felt this would add to the overall layout but I have to say I am disappointed. I'll have to paint them to get them to look better I assume there may be packs where they are actually gray so maybe I was just unlucky.....

I am collecting the items associated with the Lionel Polar Express O Scale Train Set and thought this would make a nice addition to the collection.Unfortunately Like the Caribou Pack, they did not do their homework. The low down is as follows:

1) Everyone is using an old stock image of the Wolf Pack If this pack was every really produced I don't know I know it would have been much better than what they are producing now. Please tell your marketing person to at least look at the product in the Warehouse Warehouse personnel can take a picture using their cell phones and send it for review (That's the end of my free advice).

2) As an FYI the Wolves in the movie are dark in color (Hint Hint).

3) The picture shows stands and a nice coloration of the animals from the movie. Also Shows 6 Wolves You get 3 and 5 Rabbits you get 4

4) What you get are 6 Adult Labs (thats a dog) which are light brown with no stands (the dogs have a notion to want to roll over and play dead).Shame on you Lionel or Lionel Marketing Department and also Quality Control at Warner Brothers However maybe they were designed in China by someone who never saw the movie or a Wolf. (However I do believe Wolves are on the Main Land of China and the Chinese are smarter than that!) FYI: Lionel Moved Production to China of all Trains in early 2000 Hence disconnect between Marketing and Production??).

5) I am leaving the rabbits out of it since they are just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Anyway don't buy these unless you plan on putting it away as part of a collection. Or maybe you want to buy six over priced $1.50 Cent Plastic Dogs for $26.00 and your sure your child has no idea of how the Wolves looked in the movie. If you want plastic dogs go to the Toy Store they are much cheaper!

Bachmann Trains Explorer Ready - To - Run N Scale Train Set

• Powered EMD F9 diesel locomotive with operating headlight and unpowered A unit F9 diesel locomotive
• 5 Freight cars and off-center caboose
• 34" x 24" oval of nickel silver E-Z Track
• Power pack and speed controller
• Illustrated instruction manual

My 4 year old got me into trains, so I got this one in N scale.I understand the frustration of the other reviewer as N scale can be more challenging than bigger scales like HO.But the problems they mention are curable.Care must be taken when putting track together as just slapping them together will result in bumps in the rail.In some cases, putting them together correctly will still result in some bumps which are easily ironed out by using pliers.N scale is hard to get on the tracks. The re-railer that comes with the kit helps alot, but I have to say my 4 year old has very few problems getting the whole train on the track with or without the rerailer. He will have the whole train put on in 5 minutes.Overall, I think the quality is extremely good and I enjoy just holding these locomotives and cars in my hand. The detail in such a small scale is a joy.I have also read that if anything goes wrong with Bachmann locomotives, you can send it to them with $15 and they will either fix it or send you a new one. This is not a toy and does not go together like one.Patience is a prerequisite.

I dropped the rating one star after extended use.The locomotive does not have enduring quality and can be had for probably less than the money it would cost to send it in to have it fixed.

Very pleased, it is exactly what I expected. The smaller scale will fit perfectly where I plan to set it up.

Very good starter set that was worth the money considering all that comes with it. The locomotive is not the top of the line but that is to be expected from a set. That being said it is still a good locomotive that is still running well after 9 months. However, the Bachmann track is difficult to assemble and I use Kato unitrack because it is much easier to assemble. I would suggest this set for anyone starting out in N scale.

Kidkraft Star Table and Chair Set

I ordered this set for my son's 4th birthday and he loves it. He eats, colors and plays at this table. The assembly was very easy. There was only one peice missing for the bins, but I called Kid Kraft and they sent me the missing peice without any problem.

This table is adorable. It has 4 storage bins included with it.It only took about 1/2 hour to put together. It is very sturdy as well.

Buy Kidkraft Star Table and Chair Set Now

I bought this last year for . I thought the bins would be helpful but they are not. What is means is that there is no room for legs so your child can only sit on the short ends of the table when what my daughter really wants to do is spread out her crayons etc on the long end. If she puts too much weight on the short end of the table, the only place where she can sit becasue the bins are in the way, the table will tip because the rectangle shape sets it off balance. Plus, you can't really fit as much as you might think in small bins angled in this way. In the end we scored a hand-me-down table from a friends which my 3 year-old uses for her art projects and she got a doll house for Xmas this year which now sits on top of this kidkraft table. Kind of a bummer to use atable as a doll house stand when you can pick up a table at Ikea for . This set is attractive but not very practical, especially for the price.

Want Kidkraft Star Table and Chair Set Discount?

This table was a christmas gift in 2010. Here we are almost a year later, and this table has held up fairly well. However, I'm currently in the market for a new one...

I'll start with the pros first.

Pros:

Durable. My son just turned 3 when we gave this to him and since then he has really put this table through its paces. Toys have been banged on it, crayons and pens have made their mark, and I can't tell you how many times the table and chairs have been dragged around the house by my budding little home redecorator. My husband and I have even sat in the chairs with him on occasion and were surprised at how well they held us up given our weight compared to his.

I loved the idea of the different colored bins underneath. Originally we were sent only red and blue bins...BORING!! When I read the description, it said this table came with one red, blue, yellow, and green bin so I was kinda disappointed. I called Kidkraft (a bit anal...I know) and asked how I could get a yellow and green bin sent to me. The extra bins were sent my way free of charge. With all the small toys he had laying around the house I thought this was a great way to get things organized.

Size/Design. This table is perfect for kids ages 2-5. The backs on the chairs are high enough to comfortably support small children and the overall design of this set is just cute.

The reason I am looking for new table and chair set at this point is this whole allan wrench assembly. This may be better explained through the cons...

Cons:

Assembly!! This table took forever to assemble. We ran into problems when we realized that not all the pre-cut holes were aligned correctly. A few were about 2-3 millimeters off which doesn't seem like much but it made trying to fit the darn screws through the holes a pain in the butt!! Be prepared to argue with your spouse (should he/she help) for no reason at all other than frustration...

Constantly having to re-tighten screws that have come loose with an allen wrench that nobody can find!!

There are 4 weird looking screws? that go underneath the table to help bolt it down to the legs. It doesn't matter how many times we tighten it...they are forever falling out. So much so that my husband had to put two L brackets underneath instead to keep the table from coming off the legs when leaning against one end of the table.

The bins that come with this table broke with a few months. While cheap, I was expecting them to hold up a bit longer then they did. My child is also rough with toys so it was probably his fault versus kidkraft's quality.

While this is a nice table to look at, I am just sick and tired of tightening screws. I shouldn't have to be concerned about my child's safety, however at this point I am. I have come in his room many times to find him playing with loose screws that came from his chair. I am surprised he hasn't collasped while sitting in one yet. I personally wouldn't recommend this table and am hoping my new search will result in a table that has done away with allen wrenches because I have yet to find a piece of furniture that has any longevity when allen wrench assembly is used.

Kidkraft Nantucket Table with Bench and 2 Chairs

I have been looking for a kids table for a little over a year now.I looked at everything from picnic tables to end tables that we're the right height.I run a small daycare, and I needed something that would seat at least 4 kids (and not be squished so the table would actually be functional). This seemed like the right size, so I ordered it.

I just recieved this product from BabyAge.The table set arrived in pristine condition, and went together quickly (under an hour). It seems to be very durable, and should last us for years. This table is large enough to comfortably sit four 4-5 year olds, possibly even five if you have an extra chair, though that does get a little tighter.

Though I'm not sure how "real" the wood itself is, it isn't cheap press board either. This is a heavy table, that is VERY sturdy.

My only real complaint about this table set is the little wrench that comes with it.There are eight nuts that are used to attach the legs of the table. The little wrench they included was worthless, but I did have one of my own that worked very well.So not really a big deal in my book, and I'm sure if you worked at it you could make that little wrench work, it was just annoying.

For some reason, the current picture doesn't depict the correct product. The table is white with a pastel blue bench, pastel pink chair, and pastel green chair. The colors are beautiful, it was very easy and quick to assemble, and even crayon wipes clean from all of the surfaces. I am completely satisfied with this product for my 3 year old.

This set so nice that you don't have to hide it in the toy room like the plastic stuff, it looks like real furniture... It's so sturdy that you can even sit and have a tea party or draw with your little kids, which I love!

The rectangular table is great, as they have so much more room than with the small square ones... absolutely worth the extra cost!!

The table and chairs was a great main gift for our daughter. She can color, make crafts, have tea parties or do puzzles. What was great about this set is that the chairs were included and the price was right. However, Amazon has the incorrect image of what product we bought. Our table had a pastel blue bench, a mint green chair, and a pastel pink chair. There is no pull out box underneath and the table is not square it is rectangular.

I like the size of the table, chairs and the bench. Very sturdy in construction. Only complaint is that the white surface of the table is very difficult to clean stains off of. I have to use a "soft scrub" type product once a week to remove stains.

Lionel Coca-Cola 125Th Anniversary Vintage Steam O-Gauge Train Set

• Lionel celebrates the 125th anniversary of Coca-Cola with a vintage steam set reminiscent of the company?s 19th century beginnings
• Includes general locomotive and tender, flatcar with vats, wood-sided reefer with opening doors and simulated box load inserts in interior and more
• Transformer controlled forward, neutral and reverse operation
• TrainSounds sound system in tender with steam chuffing, whistle, bell and squealing brakes

I am thinking of returning this set.The whistle worked for the first 5 minutes and stopped working and now i think it is broken.I also purchased the other sets, the Harry Potter and Polar Express one,I have not set up the Harry Potter and am going to give that away as a gift but I did unwrapped the Harry Potter and the engine on it is noticeably (twice) as heavy as the Coca-Cola one.The Polar Express engine is also very heavy (twice) compared to the coca cola one.The coca-cola one feels like it's a cheap quality build item compared to the other two engines so I would suggest the Polar Express and the Harry Potter over this one.The Polar looks more fun though because of the 4 additional characters, the whistle works out of the box.As for the smoke I have not gotten it to work well on either of the train.

edit:changing from 1 star to 3 star.Yes it is lighter and feels 'cheaper-made' than the other set, but it is still a decent set.I have set it up on it's own track and I have the polar express running on the outer track in the opposite direction. The kids love it.I paid $139 for this set and for that price, I think I will be keeping it even if the whistle is not functioning properly.I have purchased the Thomas and Friends cheaper sets that runs $50-60 and also the wooden table top train sets that runs $90-$130 and it's a no brainer to go with this set since it is a lot more fun and enjoyable for the kids.If the Polar Express or Hogwart set falls to around the $170-$200 range I would recommend those sets over the Coca Cola @ $139.

Buy Lionel Coca-Cola 125Th Anniversary Vintage Steam O-Gauge Train Set Now

If you were to purchase the components separately, it would total well over 300.00. For this price how can you pass it up. It would be nice if the engine was made out of metal completely, but it still is a workhorse and keeps up with my polar express set which I combined the two with and now have plenty of extra track and transformer if I want to expand. The kids like (and I do to) the train sounds, put the train in neutral and hit both buttons and hear the crew talking after about 35 seconds. Coke and Lionel for this price is impassably a great buy. If I wanted the real train sounds for my other set, it cost as much as this whole set. Four stars, only because the engine has many plastic pieces, but not entirely plastic. The detail is ineradicable though.

Bachmann Trains Snap - Fit E - Z Track Steel Alloy World's Greatest Hobby Track Pack

• Steel Alloy rail with Black roadbed
• 33 sections of Snap-Fit E-Z Track
• Two Turnouts - Left
• Two turnouts - right
• Two hayes bumpers

My son and I have been putting together a 4x8 train table with full layout and landscaping. After a number of years getting various train sets and track options for HO scale, we decided to go with the Bachman Snap Fit EZ Track Pack. We'll keep the other track sets as spares (you can get adapters for them) but the Bachman set made the layout consistent and works well with specialized options. We found it's definitely the way to get the set rolling.

I purchased this expansion set for my 65 years old dad because he is building a nice HO scale layout. This box give us the flexibility to add a second level rail road over the first one crossing an elevated mountain. His layout is about 3mts long x 1.5mts wide. We used the set to complete the elevated path. The kit is great, high quality as usual from Bachmann, the cd is very useful if you need additional ideas. I strongly recommend this set if you want to expand your hobby. :) Regards, Gustavo Valerin (San Jose, Costa Rica).

Bachmann makes three completer sets.We were a bit confused which one to buy, so I did a spreadsheet comparing components. The Track Pack is the very best deal BY FAR you get the most track for your money, hands down, and Amazon.com's price beat everything on ebay as well, so I liked avoiding the stress of bidding. We found the best bang for our buck by buying the 14-pc pier set separately, instead of as part of another completer set that had a train station (my kids don't pay that much attention to accessories, they are so into track, track, and more track!).With their original starter train set that they got for Christmas (just a circle track), the 14 pc pier set, and this track pack, they were able to build a 3-leaf clover set up with a bridge to go over and under, and an additional fourth "leg" of track going out to two separate bumpers where they park for the night. The switches included in the set are THE BEST and my two boys have so much fun switching their train from one track to another.I think switches and bridges made all the difference for my boys the little circle was lame after about an hour! We spent $50 on their original Christmas set that came with the train, and the boys paid for the rest from their savings fun accounts: $80 (Track Pack including shipping) and $18 (14-pc Pier set, also from Amazon.com,including shipping), and I think the boys are going to content (not to mention a bit broke!) for a very long time!

Amazing beginner kit for those who would like to expand their existing HO Scale train set. It has sufficient tracks to create your own layout. Much cheaper than buying those tracks individually.

Replogle Globes 12/1 Wonder Globe, Antique Ocean, 11cm Diameter

This is a very well-made, sturdy, beautiful little globe.I really bought it just for decoration and reference, but it's actually really cool.My 5 year old nephew uses it every time he hears of a place he doesn't know.He looks for it and gets so excited when he finds it.It's really cool because it tilts in all directions.I really like the antique look of it too. This is a really great looking globe. And it just feels heavy and sturdy. You won't be disappointed.

Colors are great, looks really nice.

For reference, this is a VERY small globe.About the size of a large orange or small grapefruit.

I wanted a globe because I am so clueless as to where things are around the world in relation to each other. This is just what I was looking for, its small and goes great on my desk for easy access.
