We purchased this desk for our Kindergarten student so he had a "special" place to sit and do his homework. It is a great size and should be good for the next few years (our son is big for his age).It was easy to put together and quite sturdy for the price. The holes for computer wires are a nice touch, though we don't currently use them. Two small children could share the desk, but it would be a bit cramped. It also provides a good work space that allows one of to sit next to him and help him as needed.I would highly recommend this desk.I bought this desk for our new home to create a work space for my 5 and 8 year old boys. It's perfect!Very easy to assemble, and the work space for each of my boys is great. They love it!I also purchased two of the chairs, so they now how their perfect little homework space by themselves.I purchased two little clamp on desk lamps for either side and still have plenty of desk room.Great purchase.I'm very happy and so are my boys.Would highly recommend, as it is a big space saver when you have children who each want their own desk.Want Wild Zoo Furniture Childs Wooden Computer Desk for 1, Ages 5 to 10, Maple/White Discount?
I was very disappointed when it arrived. Fabricated from poor quality materials it looks and feels like it was made in someone's garage. My son spilled water on the desk surface and within 10 minutes it was warped, the surface lifted away from the cheap pressboard below. I called the company to share my concerns and the person was extremely rude.A rating of zero stars would be more accurate.Demonweb: A D&D Miniatures Booster Expansion (D&D Miniatures Product)
Taking that as you will, the product is amazing in almost every way compared to the last two DDM 2.0 sets (Against the Giants and Dungeons of Dread). While the paint jobs and sculps, overall, have not gotten any better, there are some very nice looking and inspiring models. There are 3 "true" dragons in this set, all of which are very attrative and quite usable in the DDM game and in the 4th ed game: The Iron Dragon Prowler, the Black Dragon Lurker, and (my favorite) the Stormrage Blue Dragon. There are two more Dragonborn, which is great for people who want to play in the RPG as a Dragonborn, but they are still both rares (which is bad for people who want to play a dragonborn in the RPG). Sadly, this set has a host of reprints, all of which are very unnessicary: A bearded devil, many more drow, a draegloth, a stirge, a dire bear, and the list goes on and on. I believe that this may have been one of the major causes of the downfall of the DDM line because, really, who needs more and more drow, more and more bears, and so on?
As far as the game and its rules go, this set goes on to clarify the "Dominated" ability and to fix its game balance. Also, the almost undesputed weakest faction, Underdark, gets a massive boost, making it finally competative with the other factions' warbands that hit GenCon this year. Pieces that are of note for their playability are the Thoon Hulk (WOW!), the Stirge, the Soulrider Devil, and the Black Dragon Lurker. Many others in the set help out Underdark a lot, I've not gotten to use enough of the set to tell you all of the good pieces.
Its very sad, because overall, this set is simply amazing. It rebalances the game (in my humble opinion), has unique models (though, as has been the trend, their sculpts and pain jobs are horrible compared to previous sets) and the themes and ideas of the DDM stats are all really fresh and interesting. If you love DDM and like to play with friends and such, I don't need to tell you to pick some of this product up (as I'm sure you've probably done that already). If you are looking to start a new game, this isn't the one to pick up because it is going to officially be a dead game in about 3 months (from this post).
I cannot really understand the full pricing for this, but with Amazon's cheaper pricing and free shipping, this product is worth the purchase. I like Wizard's mini's but the price and assortment is sometimes frustrating. If I didn't have a gift card to burn, I wouldn't have bought these but with the price discount, it was worth the gamble.

These were the first minis I bought, together with the Miniatures Game. I was surprised with the nice quality of the painting, and I got some interesting creatures, such as the Girallon and a Tiefling Cleric os Asmodeus.
The only problem is that I live in Brazil, and Amazon doesn't ship items that are not on the Books section. I was lucky to find the Starter Game and Demonweb on Books! If not for that, certainly I would buy more minis.

Some good unique characters to expand the games that my son and I play.He thought some of the figures were scary looking (he is only 7) but it gave us a segue to discuss good vs evil and fantasy mythos.I was a little disappointed that I had 5 duplicates between 2 boosters, so only 11 unique figures out of 16, but maybe I will want an army full of Human Bandits and Lolthbound Goblins one day...

Here is the thing.. if your child likes balls with things inside that she can spin like mine does, you might think this is going to be great. But.. She cant even see the middle ball or whats inside it. And generally the balls are so small that she doesn't even look inside of them. This is a Big toy for a high chair suction cup toy but my daughter enjoys ripping it off the high chair, flipping it over, and gnawing on the rubber suction cup. It has about enough entertainment value to make a quick bottle, but with that being said I have bought other suction cup toys that she loves more because they are lighter and easier to hold and look at once she "frees" the toys.We bought this toy for our 7 month old son and I am very unhappy with it.It is way to heavy for him to play with and the suction cup does not stay attached to the top of his high chair. He does like the spinning balls but besides that this was a big waste of money.I am just hoping as he gets older it will become more interesting to him.Barbie Fashion Fever: Drew Doll in White Floral Long Sleeve Blouse with a Red Sweater & Denim Mini

Werewolves of Millers Hollow
I brought Apples to Apples (which was also new to us and very well received), Clue (a classic favorite), and The Werewolves of Miller's Hollow. When I pulled out the small box and explained the premise of the game, basically a role-playing game, many a sigh and discouraging comment was thrown my way.I must say, I was also a bit hesitant to even bring the game out, having never played it myself and the term "role-playing" rousing comparisons to games like "Dungeons & Dragons" and "World of Warcraft"...not that those are BAD games, necessarily...but certainly not the type of game that would interest my siblings or my parents.
Finally, having heard enough, and after playing about 100 rounds of Apples to Apples, I pulled "Werewolves" out once more.Apparantly after a few drinks my family is a lot more open to try new things...they all said "Well, I guess we could try it and just see how it is.If we don't like it we can always quit."And with that, our Christmas quality family time changed forever... :D
To put it simply, my entire family LOVED this game!No one, perhaps, more than my own mother, age 62.The first round had us all laughing so hard we could barely breathe. And we all found out that my Mom is a bit of a thespian, sending us often into bouts of hysterical laughter throughout the night with her convincingly serious accusations and pleas for her life.We started with 9 players and ended with 12...and even incorporated my 11 year old nephew and my 12 year old son (who strangely seems to be a lycanthrope more often than not!), allowing them to stay up until the very end...it was Christmas vacation after all.
I can't say I have ever played a game where we could include the "tweens" and the grandparents in one hilarious grouping.I highly recommend this game to everyone.Guaranteed to be a night filled with theatrics and aching sides. If not, I'd say your group must have a collective stick up the you-know-what.
And if you think it was the booze doing all the entertaining, it may have helped, I'll admit, but the next morning my Mama was still raving about the game...so don't let the "role-playing" description turn you off, give it a chance and I almost GUARANTEE you will find it worth every penny! The only down side is that it is only fun if you have a large enough group, which we were fortunate to have...SUPER FUN!!
For any gathering of 8-18 people, this game is a must have.A role-playing game, Werewolves is a game of deception and trust where everyone must decide who is lying and who's telling the truth.Everyone looks as thought they are townspeople but some people (through radomly passed out cards) are secretly werewolves that are trying to kill all the townspeople.Every nighttime the werewolves kill and every daytime the town must decide on someone to kill, hoping that person is a werewolf. With many different variations to the normal townsperson (hunter, fortune teller, cupido, little girl, witch, and theif) which all have unique special abilities, the game never gets old.For those of you who remember Mafia, this game is very similar but more well balanced and polished.I hope you have as much fun with it as I have!

This is a variation of the Werewolf / Mafia game that came out of colleges in the early 90s.Briefly, a large group of people all play the residents of a medieval village. There are werewolves among you, and every night the werewolves kill another villager.During the day, the villagers must try and figure out who the werewolves are.
The details of the rules can be found online, and are common to many different forms of this game, so for this review I will primarily focus on how this compares to others variations of the same game: "Ultimate Werewolf" and "Are You A Werewolf?"(For brevity: "Ultimate Werewolf" = UWW, "Are You A Werewolf" = AYAW, and "Werewolves of Miller's Hollow" = WMH)
1: WMH is the most stylishly designed of all the different versions. Both UWW and AYAW have a straightforward picture of the card's character, and text stating the character's title.WMH just has a stylized design on each card, which may lead to some confusion among newer players. The designs are pretty distinct, but you have to make sure people know what they ALL are before you pass them out.
2: WMH and UWW are printed on good card stock.AYAW is on cheaper paper stock, (which makes sense considering its budget price).WMH cards are square -the size of the long side of a regular deck of cards; UWW cards are standard card size and shape.AYAW are a bit smaller, but also standard card shape.
3: The IMPORTANT part: Gameplay. While the rules are very similar, the card sets are what make the biggest difference in these games.
a) WMH has the standard villagers, seer, and wolves, plus a handful of extra characters (witch, hunter, cupid).Unique to this set is the Little Girl character -her special ability is that she is allowed to peek during the "werewolves awake" night phase.I have not come across this character in any other version of the game.
b) AYAW is a very simple, budget set with only standard characters.
c) UWW is an "everything plus the kitchen sink" set with a very large number of unique cards and characters, including Vampires, Masons, Sorceress, Diseased, and a lot more.
Overall, I think I like the Ultimate Werewolf set the best, but it's a very slim margin over Werewolves of Miller's Hollow.Miller's Hollow also has an expansion that adds some interesting new characters, and a deck of "event" cards that add a lot to the game. The "Are You A Werewolf?" game is a very straightforward set that is very playable, and a such a low price that it's a no-brainer to at least try the game out, and "upgrade" if you like it.

Where I work we try to de-stress by playing card & board games when we can.My boss bought Werewolves Of Millers Hollow and we tried it one day. It's now "THE" game to play before a holiday or long weekend. It's the type of game that causes my coworkers to stop dead in their tracks and say "Werewolves????... did someone say Werewolves???" and all pile into the conference room where we play and chow on pizza and Buffalo Wings. We love this game! The best part is that it created an environment where my coworkers, that wouldn't normally associate with each other, laughed and had fun with each other.I highly recommend playing this at company parties!I like it so much, I'm going to get it for playing at home with my friends and family.I admit I sorta thought I was too cool for a role playing game. NOT SO!!! After months of trying, some friends who had this game finally convinced a bunch of us to play one time when we were having a bbq and ...we wound up playing for four hours straight. I went home and bought myself a set that very night. The next week, we organized an evening with about 13 people for the distinct purpose of playing the game. That was two days ago...and I'm already itching to play again. SO FUN! We're all in our mid to late 20's but I think this would appeal to a broad range of ages.
GeoTrax Workin' Roundhouse
As cool as the remote trains are, they only go forward. So when I heard about the roundhouse I thought this would be a great way to swing the trains around. And to a degree that's just what it does. There is a turntable in front of the roundhouse that spins an engine a full 360 degrees. It even features the new Geomotion option that allows the drive wheels of the remote trains to swing around by itself.
The thing is, when the trains wheel into the roundhouse for washing, servicing, etcetera...you still have to manually back them out.And where they could have made the ends of each fork modular, to bridge from one fork to another with track, they opted to put a permanent stop at the end of each of the three forks.
Its a neat idea, and maybe my beef is more with the unidirectional nature of the trains, than with design issues on the roundhouse. The roundhouse does provide several new options for imaginary play. Its well built, quite colorful, and integrates nicely with the existing Geotrax layout. Most kids(large and small) will be quite happy with this Geotrax addition.
I'm buying Geotrax vehicles since two years ago, and we are very happy (my child and I) about the quality and fun in every pack that we've bought.
I was yesterday unpacking Workin' Roundhouse, and oh my Good !! it's too big !!, where I'll put it?. The toy is great, the locomotive arrives, and turn to one of the 3 bays: a washing machine, a bay where you can "fix" your trains, and a one more bay where the trains can "sleep". The turntable is easy to use and you should have trains and a lot of tacks to ensamble in your Geo Trax System.
If you are buying all Geo Trax items, you should consider to have one room or a big area for it.

My kids and I were pretty excited about this addition to the Geotrax set, at Christmas. It turns out, it's pretty frustrating.Like other reviewers have said, the turntable doesn't work all that well with multiple car trains. Then, when it's set for the train to drive on through without stopping, the trains sometimes get hung up on the "climbing" mechanism.
This particular addition takes up ALOT of space. While it's still connected to our geotrax set, I'm just not impressed with it's function. We have lots of other sets that are much better additions. This one just frustrated my kids, with not being able to turn around once in the "stall".

We just moved into a new house and one of the KEY requirements was a game room for all of the GeoTrax toys that we have we bought the roundhouse for our son as a surprise for the new house. He doesn't even care if it's hooked up to the rest of the tracks he makes his own sounds as the trains turn and as they get washed and gassed up too.I LOVE that he's so creative and expressive when he plays with ANY Of the GeoTrax toys.My ONLY complaint is that it is just so big. When you're out of control and you're buying all the cool new pieces to GeoTrax, you had better make room for it all!High Five Fisher Price cool toys :)
Want GeoTrax Workin' Roundhouse Discount?
Hats off to the Fisher Price designers!
The roundhouse has several neat features:
1. it automatically disconnects all cars off the train engines (since there is room for only one engine on the turn table)
2. the gates go up and down automatically when the turn table is not aligned to the main track
3. The turn table pauses at each of the possible branches for about 5-10 seconds, which makes it easy for little engineers to line the engine up with the next track
If you are not familiar with the geomotion system: a lever on each building selects either let the trains drive through, or stop the trains and use the train motor (based on the gear tooth on the bottom of the train) to drive some mechanical feature of the building.
You gotta see it for yourself; it is a very clever system. My 3 yo loves it.

For Kids Only, Inc. Outdoor Storage Bench with Navy Stripe Cushion
The only thing to watch out for would be that the bench does not open up very far. There is maybe an 8 inch clearance. Don't expect it to fold all the way up to the back of the bench. This was purchased because my three-year-old grandson tends to be restless when he eats and has wiggled all the wooden chairs apart in his parents' dining room. He was fascinated by the idea of having a bench all to himself and played on it for a very long time once we had it set up.
The bench was fairly easy to put together and it is very sturdy. We're using it inside so cannot speak to how weather-proof it is. It's only drawback is that it is made from a relatively soft wood so a young child chewing on it could get a piece off.

Periodic Table of Elements Placemat by M. Ruskin
It is 17.5 inches by 12 inches and coated in really heavy plastic.Has Atomic number, symbol, name, atomic weight, valence shell configuration (and big enough to actually read), boiling, melting point, density, crystal structure and is color coded. It does stop at 112 and we are up to (in theory 118) but that is not going to be addressed in most beginning chem classes.
Also 110, 111 and 112 do have names nowDarmstadtium, Roentgenium and Copernicium respectively. So a new update would be nice (hence one star off, as it was published in 2000) , but again, for beginning students this will not be an issue. After buying other periodic table placemats and posters, this is by far the best. Most of the others were flimsy and uninspired more like posterboard. This is a real placemat with bold colors and solid finish that will last.

So don't go by the picture it is of the copyright 2000 version.
The colors seem brighter too of course mine is aged.
I have mine on the coffee table great conversation starter!
next to it I have the Star Chart version of placemat.
They compliment one another the very small next to the very large scale.
Great if you are going on "Jeopardy!" or studying for Chem 201.
