Trouble Board Game

Trouble Board GameI've been playing Trouble since I was a kid and it's still fun to play with my brothers and my niece. You push down on the middle part of thegame with the dice in it and the dice will 'pop' and give you a number, telling you how many spaces to move. The first person to get their fourpieces around the board and to their base, wins.If you land on a spacewhere one of your opponent's pieces are already at, they will have to startall over with that piece. For that reason, some kids might get mad if theyhave to start over, but that's the only thing that I see that anyonewouldn't like about Trouble.

Playing Trouble can teach kids some countingskills and maybe even some sportsmanship after you teach them not to getmad because they're not winning everytime.Trouble is a lot of fun and Irecommend anybody to get it.

I think even young children will enjoy this game.My daughter was under 4 when we started, but she loves the counting aspect of the game. It's great for number recognition skills because you make them say the number on the die outloud as they "roll."The only rule I don't like is that you need a "6" to start.Often that makes the beginning a bit slow if no one gets a 6.Once things get going, it's a lot of fun and easy to play. The thing in the middle is harder to push than it looks, so for very young children, they may not be strong enough to push it.3-4 year olds should have no problem though and it makes a satisfying pop.A fun and easy game -avoid if your child still puts small plastic pieces in his mouth though.

"I sat hunkered over the board. Five years old, and a "Trouble" champion. My brother stared me down. At eight years old, he knew how to intimidate. My glass of chocolate milk quivered in my nervous hands..." --me... circa 1971 or 1972

The sheer delight of a simple game will be satisfying as you see your children pop on the plastic bubble to 'toss the dice.' And you'll smile as you know those dice won't be easily lost. Milton Bradley were smart to use such a creative device without losing an ounce of fun.

Easy to learn, keeps a child's attention, and just plain good 'ol fun.

My brother usually beat me. But I went at the game as intensely as Michael Jordan plays basketball.

I fully recommend "Trouble."

I'm a 27 year old mother of 3.I remember loving this game when I was a kid. I was so dissapointed when I opened this game. I couldn't believe how cheesey it is.You can barely 'POP' the dice. And when my kids POP the bubble all the game pieces fly around. Plus the bottom of the game has a pop in piece of cardboard.Shouldn't the bottom be covered with hard plastic??

I also wish there was something to hold all the pieces because my kids (like many others) abuse the box and all of the pieces fall out and get lost.

****Can't the board game makers start making harder cases or Tins so we all don't have a stack of smashed boxes and missing pieces.

The game itself is fun...but I ended up throwing it away because pieces got lost way to fast.

I loved this game when I was younger and ordered it for my children. But... this game is so cheaply made now! A thin cardboard bottom has the graphics (comes seperated not integrated) and rips VERY easily. The popper is of a thin bent metal tension design that doesn't pop reliably. Very frustrating! We ended up buying a vintage game on [auction site] and love it!

Thomas and Friends - Talking Railway Series Knapford Station

Thomas and Friends - Talking Railway Series Knapford StationThis is a little expensive, but I have two boys that are total Thomas lovers and they absolutely love this station. It is a great starter set or a great addition to an existing track. We did buy a few more of the RFID trains for it (Toby is their favorite).

Great addition to son's thomas layout. After we bought this through amazon, toys r us put it on sale for $89. So I was a little upset about that. The only bad thing I can say about it is the clear shelters over the tracks are loose. They do not attach to the structure. So right now we have them off and put away so our son doesn't break them. We'll probably end up super gluing them.

My son received this toy for his second birthday. He loves the trains, the talking station, and he's even started to rearrange the pieces into custom layouts. The toy is well constructed and should last for years to come.

This is an older model that does not have the microphone speaker system so it is not a deal. You can get the newer model for about this price but you must read ads carefully. I would return this item if I had the time because this model is much less elsewhere. Though I over paid it is of good quality.

Brainetics - Breakthrough Math and Memory System - Complete Set

Brainetics - Breakthrough Math and Memory System - Complete SetI'm writing this review to help other people make a purchase decision.if you have a question about the program or my review, please leave a comment below.I will be emailed by Amazon and I will update the review or answer your question.

If you have spent any time checking out this product, you will notice that there isn't a matrix to help you to know if this is appropriate for your child.

Here is what I would recommend:

Buy this product if:

1) Your child has mastered addition and subtraction, and at the very least has a VERY GOOD working knowledge of multiplication tables.Memorization of multiplication tables would be better (this is per the parents manual, I am not making this up).

2) Your child shows a preference for doing math already (in my opinion).

3) You want your kid to be able to do a lot of math-based parlor tricks.

Do not buy this product if:

1) Your child needs remedial math help.If your child struggles with basic math I recommend Hooked on Math (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division).

2) Your child needs an introduction to multiplication. All the lessons teach formulas. For example, to learn the "parlor trick" of being able to tell anyone what day of the week they were born on, the first half of the formula is to multiply by 5 and divide by 4.There is no explanation at all of what multiplication is or what division is.This is for kids who are already VERY aware of those basics (that trick is on DVD 1 by the way).

3) Your child is not going to continue practicing math to keep the lessons fresh in their mind.

If your child is brilliant but doesn't like math, and you want this program to "turn them around", then this program might work. They work hard to show you some math tricks and make math seem more enjoyable.A big emphasis is made on impressing others (although we all know that in "real life" you have to play to your audience).

By the numbers:

The DVDs have 15 hours of instruction.

The exterior box and flash cards say ages 9 to 99.Actually, these items aren't age-sensitive, they are ABILITY based. If you are already decent at multiplication and you are 7, then, you should buy this.If you are 11 and the problem "whats 9x7?" scares you then this is probably not a good product for you.

That concludes my basic review. For a more detailed review, read on.

To start off with, I have uploaded a picture showing exactly what you get out of the box.2 books, a parents manual, 5 DVDs (in 2 boxes), and 2 decks of cards. The 5 DVDs include about 15 hours of instructional time. That boils down to $10 per hour for instruction, which is a "fair" price in todays world considering you can watch them, resell the kit, etc.

The Parents Manual.

The first 5 pages of the Parents Manual is a bit of fluff, congratulating you on your purchase and giving you some explanations why you should believe Mike Byster's program is "da bomb".The remaining 7 pages guide you in knowing what to ask your kids after they watch each part of each DVD.Certainly, followup is very important.

It says right in the Parents Manual (page 7) that this program is for children who have a "comfortable understanding" of their multiplication tables.Kids who KNOW them. This is NOT for remedial students who need help over a hurdle. The parent's manual is quick to point out that DVDs 1 and 2 can be enjoyed by anyone, but DVDs 3-5 will be difficult for children who have poor multiplication skills.I don't agree, multiplication is in the second trick on DVD 1.If you dont' know multiplication then there is a good chance your train will be derailed right there. I wish that this information was better represented on the Amazon product page and the Brainetics website.

THE DVDs.

The basic format is that 4 teams of kids are competing, with Mike Byster as a sort of coach/referee/teacher.Your child watches the other children learn the strategies.I have uploaded a picture of this.Ocasionally, there is a sidebar where Mike Byster addresses the viewer directly. There are also little "commercial breaks" which have jib-jab style animation. These commercial breaks tend to have trivial information that is vaguely related to the topic, but serve to stave off monotony. To me the commercials were very ADD, which means, most kids would like them.I guess.Your child will use a workbook along with the DVD.

DVD 1 talks about magic squares and moves on to a calendar trick where you can figure out the day of the week from any date in the last 100 years. This is a "parlor trick" which you may use for a practical purpose once a year as an adult, if you don't just check the calendar on your cell phone. But it relies on a FORMULA, and your child must MEMORIZE the formula or they are just "watching a math movie".(By the end of the program your child has to memorize dozens of tricks or formulas.Otherwise, its just expensive infotainment.)

By the second DVD your child is learning about Fibonacci numbers, adding doubled numbers, square roots, and 5th root tricks. These aren't the sort of things your child really NEEDS to know, its more like geeky math fun.And fun it can be.Does DVD #2 really "help students overcome math anxiety"?I think "mileage may vary" on that one...

The other three DVDs get into some serious math tricks, how to square numbers easily, how to divide large numbers easily. Its all legitimate.Actually, I'm getting something out of it myself. But some of these things would not be used by a child until they were much older.Other of these tricks fall into the category of "knowledge for knowledge's sake" which can easily be re-labelled "trivia".I could memorize the trick/formula for squaring a number between 100 and 125.But since my occupation doesn't require that I don't think I would bother to learn it.I just used pi-r-squared yesterday as part of my job but knowing "many tricks" for squaring "many numbers" is not very practical for me.

I don't think that Mike Byster gives us anything NEW or AMAZING here. What he DOES do and this is important is to repackage the facts up in a way that modern kids like to see it.You should not underestimate the importance of this.

So did it help the kids?Well, the one who was the oldest knew his multiplication tables, and he's learned a few of these tricks. But, he will forget some of them if he doesn't practice them, just as if I taught him French for a month and then ignored it for 2 years.Thats sad, but its true.

In the end, I think Brainetics provides exactly what it promises. It provides a launch pad for your child to learn a lot of math tricks that can make it possible for them to do "amazing" math facts. If your child stays with the program they will feel "good" about math. They may feel like they have "insider information".It may make them feel math is "easy" and propel them toward a math-related career (which is a good thing).BUT its just as likely that your kid will go through this program and have a vague recollection of it in 15 years.

I think the price is "fair" because of the 15 hours of DVD instruction and the way its presented.

Should you buy it?Maybe not.Its not for everyone. Its really more of a "bonus-round-extra-credit-math-whiz" program. You should hold off until your kid is pretty math-savvy to begin with.

I'm a geek.I would like my kids to be math whizzes. So I gave it a try.And right now I'm not so sure its worth the $150.You can do a lot of educational things with $150, and I'm just not sure this should be in the top 5.

Back in the 1960s, homeroom elementary teachers taught longhand math (what is taught in schools today) and science teachers would teach quickhand math (aka shortcut/science math). Saw Brainetics tv ad this morning me and spouse both said 'first time I've seen it in years'. We immediately recognized good ol' quickhand math, or science math. Remember Dad scribbling tax calc's and mom scribbling grocery and fabric yardage in the newspaper margins using quickmath? Same thing. In fact googlebooks has plenty of 1600's-1900's public domain science-history-math text books of elementary school instruction that include quickmath/science math (Full View too). Not a scam, not over-rated, not 'new' math, not cheater's math. The shock/scam online reviews of Brainetics appear groundless. They speculate, are ranting, frantic, suspicious, self-proclaimed non-user nay-sayers. Quickmath is old as dirt itself. An outcry over Brainetics' (one) BBB F-no reply rate is also humorous. The much-hyped issue is a nonreply, since BBB narrow codes don't have a N/A choice. BBB's edu industry/product no-review policy is clearly stated (on Brainetics' and all other BBB page).

Anyway, anyone who knows math or uses it in their career would recognize Brainetics as good old fashioned scientific-math, just relabeled. But parents who prefer dumping a hundred dollars in the newest, most up-to-date, moderne, nouveau methods may not know better than to download a vintage googlebooks math text, or spend 5 to 10 bucks for a vintage school math book on amazon, ebay, or abebooks that'd teach the same thing. I personally miss the fun days of addiators, addometers, sliderules. It'd be terrific if schools would reintroduce science math. In other countries, both are taught. It is very fun to know both ways and nice getting math done in one-third the time.

I shudder to think of schools adopting this as a method of teaching math. It's simply learning shorthand math tricks that, while useful, don't contribute to a foundational knowledge in even the most trivial of mathematic concepts.

Just buy "Secrets of Mental Math" by Benjamin and Shermer for $10 and work through it with your kid. You'll both learn all the same tricks, you'll save $140, and at least they'll be reading a book instead of staring at a TV.

We purchased this program to assist my teenage son in his recovery from a traumatic brain injury. He's on disc 4, and we've seen a marked improvement in his reading comprehension, mathematics skills, and short-term memory. While he cannot yet do all of the Brainetics concepts his head, he is making huge progress. This has boosted his self-esteem and has given him the confidence he needs to continue pushing forward toward recovery.

I am a mechanical engineer. I was excited when I saw the infomercial and thought this would really help me get the answer quickly with some short-cuts. This would really help me with my productivity. After going through the 7 DVDs (yes, 7) of the 2011 deluxe set, I was really disappointed! This set only show 5, but I got the deluxe that had 7. Truth be told, there are no short-cuts in life and don't expect to gain it from these DVDs. Sure, these DVDs offer some fun things that are brain-teaser (such as solving magic square, a few numbers you can square or divide, a few things you can add, that's about it); you will never use them in a math class that can help you solve your textbook problems. If you want to learn math, do it right, do it the long way and practice, practice, practice and your practicing will be the short-cut. Don't get scam into putting out more than $100 on this thing.

However, I do so I have to comment that there some positive things you will get out of these videos. You will learn a few things about numbers. If you have children, they will learn some neat things that would be cool at first but useless in the end. They won't learn anything that will boost their text book skill, but they will feel that they can do some math.

We live in a digital age, if you want to see/try the videos, Google it and you will find it online for free. Try 4shared dot com. Good thing I didn't shell out a hundred buck on this thing. Don't be fool by the promo video that shows you he can divide by 91 or 143 and get the number to the 7th decimal place in his head. How many times in life are you going to need to divide numbers by 91 (not any number, only between 1 and 90)? He will also show you how to calculate the day of the week that you are born on too, but unless you memorize an entire numbers sequence for the months and day of the weeks and you have a calculator handy, it is useless! He will show you how you can square two or three numbers, again, with limited range that you will never use. Heck, I don't even remember needing to square that high of value for any test I need at school.

Magnetic Bases 40mm Round

Kikkerland Awika! Windup Colors May Vary

Kikkerland Awika! Windup Colors May VaryAwika is my husband's favorite Kikkerland toy, and it's easy to see why.Awika has a huge wind up gear, he can crawl over lots of stuff, and his rear end shoots sparks as his little rubber feet race along the ground! Very cool, and so different from today's concept of "toys."Oh, and they're not just for adults please see my note on kids using these (below).

These little gear box wind-up toys are soooo much fun (you can watch all of the action take place the toy has an "open" build). My son and I found these toys by Kikkerland while on vacation, and I decided to purchase them from Amazon.Cosmojetz is the most active of all the Kikkerland gearbox toys, but Awika may be the most exciting to watch because it has so many feet, walks over most things, and shoots very small sparks out its rear!

Don't set any of these toys near the end of a table or desk, or they may fall off and break. All of the keys and feet differ between the Kikkerland gear box toys, so you never know what you'll get.Almost entirely metal parts, these toys will last forever if you/your child do not abuse them (e.g., drop, smash, etc.)

I bought a "Cranky" for my own desk and the Cosmojetz and the Awika for my 8 y.o. son, and they've been a big success!I only recommend these toys for responsible children who do not beat up or abuse their toys. These are not Mattel or Playskool toys, but are they cool and fun?Yep, way more unusual and cool than your average toy. Recommended!

I found this via the Kikkerland site a few years ago, and finally got one for my 5-yr-old daughter this Christmas. She loves it it's silly, and it cracks her up (would not recommend it for a younger kid, though, because of the winding you don't want to overwind, or wind backwards!). It was smaller than expected, and it does get gummed up from time to time (pet hair, etc.), but overall this is a cool little doo-dad. I'd love to have the whole set, if they were less expensive. Maybe one for every gift-giving occasion. See the Kikkerland site for very funny video demos (set to music).

Buy Kikkerland Awika! Windup Colors May Vary Now

I have purchased Awika, along with an assortment of the other wind-up toys from this line on several occassions, and I find myself looking for opportunities to give one of these fun toys to someone new. They are cleverly built and funny to watch -especially when you get more than one of them going at a time! One year, I gave them to all of my coworkers (a bunch of computer geeks), and they were a big hit.The next year, I wrapped up a bunch for my family and they each got to pick from the pile.Oddly enough, each person seemed to pick a toy that somehow matched his/her personality!

Also, if you're into "green" gift-giving, I believe at least of portion of the proceeds from the purchase of one of Chico Bicalho's designs goes toward conservation of the rain forests in South America.

This looks cool and that is pretty much it. Wanted a wind up toy to let kids play with and understand a bit of mechanics. But the gears always jam and this needs to be nudged to get it moving. We played for perhaps 10 times. Then while winding up, some tiny plastic pieces broke off and the metal strip sprang out. Luckily no injuries except for Awika. Since I had kept in the box for few months before giving it to the kids it was too late to return and Awika had go to the trash can. I think the design is poor. The gears that are not connected to both sides tilt away from the plane of rotation and hence they jam. Also a stronger plastic for the gear wheels would help.

Want Kikkerland Awika! Windup Colors May Vary Discount?

My son received the Awika as a Christmas present from a dear family friend and we were all delighted. We had other Kikkerland wind-up creatures and had enjoyed them for years. This one moves in amazing ways and the sparks amazed us. Unfortunately, the Awika broke within an hour of opening it. The gears slipped making it impossible to wind.

No problem, we thought, we'll just call the company. A ten minute conversation with a customer service representative was entirely unsatisfactory. The company was not willing to replace or repair the toy. They, in fact, would take no action because we did not have the receipt. The Kikkerland representative said that they had no way of knowing how long we had had the product--the warranty only lasts 90 days. We explained that it had been a gift, and it would be quite awkward to ask the giver for a receipt (if she had in fact retained it). We explained that it was a Christmas gift and we were calling them on December 28. We know, like several other reviewers, have a very cool looking, but non-functioning toy. We are also disappointed in a company whose products we have enjoyed in the past.

The short of it: Expect this toy to break. Do not give it as a gift without enclosing the receipt.

Lego Duplo Compatible Heavy Duty Wood Table-32'X16'-MADE IN THE USA!!-Preassembled-Solid Hardwood Legs and Frame-BUILT TO LAST!!This table is sturdy and easy to keep clean. i have had it at my Taekwondo school for 3 years now and kids have spilled everything imaginable on it and at times little ones have both stood and sat on it, although they were quickly removed. It is very sturdy and still looks brand new

My daughter occasionally puts her own legos away with this table. This results in her learning less profanity as when you step on a lego barefoot, expletives often follow. When she gets a lego out to play, she has to reach in the bag and get one or a few rather than dumping all of them on the floor.

In addition, I can play with her off the floor. We build better structures because they have a firm base. When we are done, we just throw the legos in the middle and we are done.

Outdoor Chaise with Umbrella

Outdoor Chaise with UmbrellaThis is a child's size chaise lounge. It is very cute and if I had a two year old I would have kept it.It is well built and the cushion looks durable.I did not read the product description I thought it was regular size.

Product is made well, and assembles easily. It is small great for a two or three year old though. My daughter is 6 and she looks like a giant on it. I need to give it away (I already put it together.) Shame as it looks like it would last but kids will outgrow it very quickly. Really too bad they didn't make it big enough to accommodate a larger child so they could get some use out of it before they outgrew it.

For the price, this product is great. The legs do not scratch the table and stay put. As most Foosball tables go, assembly is not fun but (because this is a tabletop model) it only requires one person to assemble it

This product is of very poor quality. It took me 4 hours to assemble, and I have experience assembling products. The instructions are not clear in some spots, the pieces are not numbered as is usually done, missing some screws, and some parts may not fit well. Was hard put to put players in position because the hole where you put is too tight.

In general I'mis quite disappointed with this product that I to my son for Christmas.

I had the intention to return the item, but after reviewing te seller return police I simplyregretted doing so.We must review the police return of each seller before buying an item.

Melissa & Doug Wooden Tabletop Easel

Melissa & Doug Wooden Tabletop EaselThe only problem I had this item was the instant I took it out of its plastic wrap and opened it up, the chalkboard fell out of its hinges on the top.A little bit of extra strength super glue fixed it and am hoping the dry erase side doesn't fall out later.Otherwise my 2.5yr old loves writing with the chalk and putting magnetic letters on the other side.Great investment even if I have chalk dust all over my floor.

The "dry erase" board is only a white plastic board with plastic over the top; therefore, it is next to impossible to clean. I was very disappointed and would not recommend this to anyone

This table-top easel would be a great and useful "toy" if it were made well. We homeschool and have had this easel for a couple of years. It almost immediately fell apart. We have re-glued and re-stapled it several times. All Melissa and Doug painted-wood items we have purchased have not held together. This is because all the individual parts are painted before gluing, and the joints don't hold. As I stare at the pieces of this easel, which has fallen apart YET AGAIN, I would suggest that you search for a better table-top easel.

You can do everything from simple math problems, to memory games, to building shapes with tangrams. There is enough variety that even playing the game every night for a week nobody gets bored! We even played one night with the grandparents and they were challenged, too.

We've played the game with six to eight people on two teams and everyone gets plenty of opportunity to play.

I really love that this game has been a confidence builder in our youngest two girls (9 and 10).They would start a category with a lot of "I can't do this" or "I'm not good at this" but each question they got correct bolstered their confidence in their abilities and made them more likely to try without the "can't" the next time.

Overall this is a very inexpensive way to spend enjoyable family time together.Amazingly, we made it through the game every single time without the kids fighting or arguing and they actually cheered each other on and supported their sibling teammates! That alone makes it worth every penny!

The game is great overall, but there is one minor problem."Hidden" answers on the cards are supposed to be revealed using a red transparent card. The problem is, we can clearly see the answers without the revealer thing. Some aren't as obvious, but others can be clearly read even across the table.Since the person answering the question is holding the card ....unless you're color blind, you can easily see the answer. It would have made much more sense if the "hidden" answers were printed on the other side of the card.

I purchased this to help my son work on some occupational therapy goals and he is having a great time playing it without realizing he is working on spatial concepts, memory etc.A fun family game!

The Party Continues 50th Birthday CenterpieceThis decoration made a great centerpiece. It could have used unfolding/setup directions, but once I figured out the opposite folds, I was good to go. I recommend it!

Little Tikes Sandy Lagoon Waterpark

Little Tikes Sandy Lagoon WaterparkMy son (3 years old) absolutely loves the Sandy Lagoon Waterpark. So much more so than I imagined he would. More than just a toy to splash in the water, it's like bringing the fun of the beach right into our back yard. He plays for hours racing Scuba Steve and Silly Sally down the twin waterslides, launching them off diving boards and burying them under mounds of sand. Even though the characters have their own floating inner tubes, it seems my son always has much bigger plans for them, like swimming with whales or rescuing imaginary penguins.

The table holds a whopping four gallons of water, which is nice because it means it won't all be spilled or splashed out within a half hour of play. The other side of the table offers an area that can hold up to 50lbs of sand (not included). *TIP* If you check out the aquarium section of your local pet store, your little one can pick out fun colors of sand for about $2.50/5lbs.

Unlike a kiddy pool or sprinkler, this activity table has so much integrated creativity to keep kids busy and side tracked with any additional story lines they can dream up. Plus, while they play they're promoting hand eye coordination and social play.

This was really easy to put together. Everything snaps together easily and there are 8 screws (included) for the tower and slide. It took me all of 15 minutes to do even with my toddler "helping".

The Sandy Lagoon Waterpark was provided to me at no cost by Little Tikes to facilitate this review. All opinions are mine.

We bought this locally, so I can't speak to Amazon's packaging or delivery of the item, but I will review the sand and water table itself.

I was birthday shopping for my 3-year-old and saw this and several other Little Tikes toys with a big American flag on the box.Since we try to buy USA-made as often as we can, I started looking at all the toys there and settled on this one, as she has played with similar toys before and *loved* them.

I saved it for the morning of her birthday and went out to start putting it together before she woke up.It wasn't *hard* to assemble (other than how long it took to screw the pieces of the tower and slides together), but I don't think any two parts came pre-attached.This seriously took more assembly than the walking bike we bought her last year. The directions, thankfully, were well-written with step-by-step photos.

She absolutely loves playing with it, as I figured she would, though we had to teach her not to flood the sand compartment or dump buckets and buckets of sand into the water--although, LT anticipated there would be *some* mixing of elements...the bed of the water side has raised designs that the sand settles around, which is pretty neat when you suddenly see the starfish and whatever else is down there. For flooded sand, just stir it all around to distribute the water, put the lid on, and when you take it back off, the water will have condensed on the lid and you can just let it trickle onto the ground--or leave it uncovered all together while it dries, but I don't recommend that.It did come with a cover for a reason. You *will*, however, have to remove the sand funnel and spinner that sits in the corner every time you cover the sand box and then put it back in when you open it again. It's annoying, but I'm not sure it could have been designed differently.Eventually I'll find a way to take it off without getting sand all over myself in the process.

All that said--the selling point for this was that it was Made in the USA (fine print: of domestic and imported materials).

However, I'm not sure there are actually any pieces that WERE made in America--except perhaps the cardboard box and the printed instructions.Every little toy was made in China. The bags they were packaged in were made in China.I'm pretty sure the entire tower was made in China, but I had it assembled before my husband pointed out the 'C' word on the bags and I started hunting.I also couldn't check the table itself with the legs because it was already full of sand and water. It is *possible* those five parts originated in the US...and maybe the screws. All I can say for sure is I did not see 'China' on them, but it was hard to tell.

Nowhere but the box did I see *anything* suggesting this toy had any connection to America, so my suspicion is that all the parts were made in China and sent back here for packaging in an American-made box with American-printed instructions.BIG disappointment, given our intention.I was all set to start purchasing more Little Tikes toys in the future, but now I will probably stay with Step2.

I have 3 kids, so every summer we get a new sand, water or outside toy. This year it is the Sandy Lagoon Water Park.I loved the idea of sand and water in one place, we have done them separately in the past.It has lots of cute activities, things the kids have actually played with, not just for looks.Be ready to have your kid mix the sand and the water. They do not stay pretty in their own sides for long. The sandy water gets stuck in the funnels and chutes, and is hard to clean off.In saying this, I did not like the fact that it only has one lid for the sandy side.Since both sides end up sandy, I would have liked a cover for the whole thing.Overall, a great toy, you can't beat it for the price.Just have to get over the mixing of the two elements,
