Black and Clear Glass Chess Set

This glass chess set is great. It is durable yet small enough to be moved from room to room. It's also very beautiful so I don't mind having it is my livingroom on the coffee table. It's provided hours of fun for our family.

The chess board is a transparent Glass (not so obvious in the product picture). The size of the pieces is around 2". which makes the pieces not small but also not large. the aesthetic view of this glass chess alone is worth the 20$. you don`t have to put the pieces and the board back to the box, since it gives a nice touch to the room. but if you want to put it back to the box you could easily do that, as the box have places for each chess piece and you cover it with the filling thingy on top of it and you put the board on it,and another filling thingy on the board, then put it back inside it`s box. it`s convenient as to avoid forgetting any piece when you finish playing because you`ll immediately notice in the box that there is an empty slot which means you forgot a piece (sometimes after playing a piece fall down under the couch or a table) so it`s nice to know that you`ll probably wont get any pieces lost so easily after playing.

This set is truly beautiful without being overdone.A few of the peices came with chips in them, but since my hubby and I are the only ones who really see them, I did not bother to send in a complaint, though I know we could have easily gotten replacements for them.The glass peices are very classy and the whole set is a lot of fun to play.The bottoms of the peices are felted so they don't scratch up the glass board, which is a nice touch.Overall, I am very pleased with this set, as is my husband. Highly recommend!

Felt feet don't seem like they'll stay on very long. I'll probably remove it and line each piece's bottom with Elmers Glue.

If you like Mario, and you keep Altoids tins when all the mints are gone, you should get this.

This is a pretty accurate "?" block. A nice paint job with embossed question marks on the sides ensure this is a perfect knicknackfor a desk or entertainment center.

You get about as many pieces of candy as a fun size pack of Skittles or M&Ms, and personally, I think they taste great sort of like a Smartie and a SweeTart mixed together (MUCH better than the "cherry sours" that come in the Mario mushroom tins).

For a 2"x2"x2", six dollars is a little pricey, but I've seen this in stores for the exact same price. Here it has the bonus of Super Saver Shipping, though, which really made the decision easy for me, as it put me right over the amazon.com minimum eligibility price.

All-in-all, I am extremely satisfied with the product itself, but for the price, you probably want a couple extra items in your cart.

i bought this doll at kb toy outlet in cabazon for $7 :) cheaper than disney store's doll. anyways, i really like how she looks in this one & i like how her hair is styled & layered ^^ i display it on my shelf where i put my asian novels =)

I have bought and sold this doll several times and she is just gorgeous. I really want one for myself; but I always feel guilty keeping her when there are so few around and there are children out there who would like to have her. I think she is one of the prettiest dolls I've seen with long brushable silky hair. The hair is sewn in her head and quite sturdy; though I wouldn't let a youngster wash it too often. A beautiful silky 2 piece kimono with velcro tabs, so it can be removed and is washable. Adorable little red shoes, keep an eye on them because they don't tend to stay on her feet. A pretty little hair comb gold with a large white flower. Of course, it has been out of production for 10 years and is hard to find. The only thing I could have wished for extra is a dollstand; but, they are easily purchased.I am really looking forward to buying one for myself and making more little japanese outfits.

Shady Oasis Sand and Water Play Table

It seems like a great idea to have sand AND water all in one toy, right? Here's the problem. While the water side does have a drain, it only drains the water out of the main basin. There is another basin (where the water wheel is) that remains filled with water. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get all of the water out of this thing without turning it over, and therefore also dumping out all of the sand on the sand side of the table. You can't leave the water in the table because it gets stagnant and gross and is a mosquito breeding ground. The two sides of the table don't separate, so you can't just take the water side off to dump the water at the end of the day. My solution: I filled up both sides of this table with sand, and plan to buy a separate water table that I can dump ALL of the water out of at the end of the day.

My daughter absolutely loves this table! It keeps her busy in the backyard for hours!

It is really simple to assemble and only requires a Phillips screwdriver. Total assembly time was about 30 minutes. It is also really lightweight, so it wasn't any trouble to carry up and down stairs (to hide it before Easter) and then to move it outside. It is a little cumbersome to move because of the shape, but very easy overall.

I purchased this intending to use it only as a water table, and it works very well for that purpose. Put any two-year old near sand and water and they will just make a big muddy mess. I also believe that it would be difficult to clean out without dumping the sand out.

There were a few reviews saying that the water becomes a stagnant mess after sitting for a while. This would be true in any instance, not because of the design of the toy. I've had a very easy time keeping it clean with almost no effort. After she is done playing I simply open the drain and let the water in that side run out, and then tip the unit on it's side to dump out the rest of the water. Either leave it that way until the next play session or turn it back over and let the sun dry it completely (we live in Arizona so it dries really quickly).

I think it would also work really well as a sand-only table, but we haven't ever tried it with sand. I do like that it is elevated on smooth plastic legs so that I wouldn't have to worry about scorpions (fun, right?!) climbing up and making their home in there if we did use it for sand.

The other sand/water tables on the market all seem to be designed in a similar way, so they all have the same pros and cons.

Overall I'm very pleased with this purchase!

We purchased this table for my 11 month old son who LOVES water and splashing.After months of him going after the dog bowl we bought this water table.He LOVES it.I fill both sides up with water as I think the sand would be an issue crossing into the water and he is not yet into sand.The main issue with this table is that the table legs fits so tightly into the sockets that the plastic holdings break.After reading reviews on this table elsewhere it looks to be a universal problem.I hope that the legs hold up.

Three issues need to be addressed by the makers of this table....

1.) the umbrella is too small and due to the material it provides zero shade

2.) there needs to be a plug in both wells for drainage.

3.) the plastic holdings tend to crack when assembling the legs of the table.

While we hope to enjoy this table this summer I am skeptical as to whether it will hold up next year or for another child.

We purchased this table at Walmart where it was $20 cheaper than amazon.

About 6 months ago we picked up a couple back-yard play stations for our boy (21 months). One was the Step 2 Shady Oasis Sand and Water Table. He has always loved splashing in the bath and he enjoys pools of shallow water. He also loves playing in sand when we take him to the beach or playing in the sandboxes when we take him to neighborhood parks. Hence, the backyard sand and water table seemed a natural, albiet the scale is entirely different.

The play station was easy to put together and required a Phillips screwdriver and a long-nosed plier. The latter was not specified and I used it only to retrieve screws when I'd drop them when trying to fit them in small confined places my fingers wouldn't fit. In any case, assembly was a quick, easy and simple task. However, you might consider where you want this thing because it's very difficult to move after the water and sand is added.

We've only had the sand and water table a short time so our testing of the toy is probably inadequate. Such is the case with many of his toys. At the present, our boy likes to splash the water, that's for certain. He seems to like the paddle wheels, but hasn't learned how to operate them as yet. The wheel in the tower works quite well, I might add, but the boy doesn't find it terribly interesting.

One major problem with the water part f the play station is keeping it clean. It's not long before the water is cluttered with leaves and other detritus floating in it. The worst contaminant is dead insects and often the water has live insect larvae in it. Regular cleaning and renewing the water is necessary and time consuming,

The sand part of the table is of questionable. Our boy scoops up cups of sand and scatters it on the nearby ground or tosses them into the water. Also, he tosses the cups on the ground. All in all, the sand is just too limited to be of much use.

The umbrella seems to fascinate him. Maybe it's the colors or the patterns, Who knows? But the umbrella is much too small to act as any kind of sun shade.

All in all, I'd now have to rate this play station as ineffective. It has become a backyard piece of junk that receives little attention and presents major clean-up problems. Given the choice, we would not buy it again.

LEGO Creator: The Race to Build It Board Game

We purchased this game for our three Legomaniacs, ages 6, 10, & 11, and it was not a disappointment!The object of the game is to race around the board collecting pieces to see who can build his/her creation first."Take a piece from another player" spaces add to the competition and unexpected outcomes of the game.Game is great for younger than the 7 & up age rating given it.In addition, our 6 year old spent an afternoon just building & rebuilding the creations displayed on the game cards.Instructions for the game were clear, concise, and they were thoughtful enough to include a display listing of all the pieces that belong to the game.This is a great aid when trying to separate game board pieces from other Legos, and for being sure you have all the pieces before you start the game.What I would change: the game "marker" pieces are Lego people "hats."They are tiny, and hard to keep up with, and blend in with the colors & shapes on the board, making them very hard to see on the board during play.Keeping up with those tiny hats slowed the play of the game considerably.We improvised by substituting various Lego people from other sets.They were easier to keep up with, and added more character to the game.

I love games, and our 6-year old boy loves Legos. Needless to say, this is the product for us.

Before the game starts, one player picks a color, and all players pick a card from that color. The card details what Lego vehicle to build, so each game players are building different vehicles.

The vehicles are composed of colored and special pieces. You collect pieces by landing on various spaces on the board. Not brain surgery, but fun nonetheless.

After playing the game several times, we've found that the best strategy is to collect special pieces every single time you land on a wild space. You have the option to collect colored pieces, but it seems this is a red herring, as special pieces are so much more difficult to acquire.

Another thing that's kind of broken is that there are spaces that let you steal a piece from another player, but it's rare that another player has a piece you need.

Overall, though, the game plays well, though, and we have real fun every time we play.

I was shopping for something fun for my school-aged summer childcare boys to do for the remaining 3 weeks of summer break when I discovered the existence of the Lego Creator Board game. It arrived today, much to the pleasure of 2 little boys.We played the game all afternoon while the preschoolers took naps.It was the first peaceful afternoon we've had.I wish I'd have discovered this game sooner!I may actually have a few nerves left!

I do have 2 suggestions for the game.One, I was disappointed that the game pieces where baseball caps.We immediately ran to our lego box and found four grumpy medieval men and replaced their helmets with the caps.Secondly, it would be a nice addition to find a way for the board to have ridges to keep the "special blocks" separate from the regular pieces.I used a chip/dip bowl with the tiny bowl in the center.

A friend bought this game for my 4 year old son's birthday. I thought that she was crazy but the first time we tried it my son loved it. He had no trouble figuring out the directions for playing the game or assembling the pieces. His favorite space is "take a block from another player". About the only change I'd make is to the playing pieces. They are tiny hats. Otherwise it's a great game. We play it several times a day!

Butterfly SCS-5000 Shakehand Racket

This paddle was well worth the money. My game has improved a lot over the past months since I started using it. My only minor complaint is that the edge tape seems cheap for the price, all other aspects of the paddle rock.

I love the paddle. The spin and speed this adds to the game is awesome! I have been able to ramp up my attacks and incorporate some decent serves.

I do have oneoncern, though, and it could just be mine; however, I have been playing with this regularly for about 7 months and I expect there to be some minor wear on the edges of the rubber, but I do not expect the glue around about a 3 inch section of the perimeter to be wearing off. About a three inch long and quarter inch deep section of rubber is loose. Am not sure if this is typical, but for the price, I thought it would not peel so soon.

I love the paddle, just concerned about the peeling rubber.

The top doesn't light up, but it does give off a nice pink glow. Features on doll are not very good. I guess you really get what you pay for.

WARNING: It doesn't say this, but the papers that come with the lamp warn that this is NOT A PERMANENT LAMP! It says it is seasonal & not to be installed permanently or used for over 90 days at a time. If I had known this, I would not have purchased it!!!

Battery Operated 7.75" Mirror Rotating Display Turntable

I'm starting a figure collection and I noticed several collectors use rotating displays for their figures as to expose all the 360º craftsmanship of each figure. So I started searching for a rotating display and found this item. It is exactly what I expected. It has a low price, I think and it seems well/simply made but it is not as compact as it looks. The top mirror is completely removable and has no locks or straps, so any time you tilt it, the top part may fall off... so you have to be careful handling it. The display contains a very simple motor and a removable gear which you have to manually move from low to high and vice-versa to increase or decrease rotating speed... I expected a switch to avoid removing the figure displayed every time I want to change speeds. The whole item creates a noticeable rotating noise but not enough to be a problem as this display will be inside a closed display cabinet. Finally there is no light from any part of the display, from the box picture I got the impression it had some light, but it doesn't.

it's kinda, wratchit-y. It turns and gets the job done but you can hear the turntable during video recording. If it was only smoother.
