We purchased this chair for our 9 year old.We got a desk from another vendor but now I wish we had also purchased the desk to match.The quality of the chair is good, and it was very easy to put together.The seat has a soft cushion in a microfiber type material.The wood color is exactly what it looks like in the photo.
