Maxim EverEarth Table Top Easel

I bought this for my 17 month old.I wanted him to use a chalkboard on his table set.Other easel's are too tall for him and he's short for his age.I know this toy is rated for 3 years and up so I only bring it out when I am going to use it with him.It's pretty sturdy but with a small tug the side sticks will come out and the easel will just close right up.It can pinch fingers very easily especially since it is made out of wood it has some weight to it.The wood could be smoother but smooth enough.I like how it is natural.The abacus on the bottom is a nice addition to help children count with simple math problems.I haven't tested out the dry erase side and don't plan on using it until he is old enough to understand not to draw on other things besides the easel.Hopefully this item will last long enough to test it out.Overall, for the price, this item is worth the money.Oh and the chalkboard side isn't that great, it's like a thin layer and if you press too hard with the chalk it won't show well.It's good enough for now.I would recommend this with supervision for children who cannot operate flipping it from one side to the next because it is a bit difficult and like I said it does pinch and has weight on it so if it falls on a foot it definitely will hurt.

The idea of this product is great.The frame is sturdy too.Problem is the whiteboard is just a super thin piece of plastic (almost paper thin) which came right off.Having said that, I felt disappointed.We had it about 2 weeks before the white board came off.I wouldn't purchase again.

For the money, it is okay...but I am not sure it is going to withstand my toddler! The white board was buckled and to move between the white board and the other side is not very easy.

This is an excellent product, durable and nice to look at!My three year old LOVES it, he can draw with chalk while sitting at the table now :)I will be using this for home schooling.The only reason I rated it less than perfect was because the chalkboard side is not very magnetic.The whiteboard side is very magnetic and works great, the chalkboard side however has such little magnetism that magnets just slide right down to the bottom.But, it's still a great product and I love that it is natural wood.
