While I am still a little disappointed that these won't match my Armies of Middle Earth 3" LoTRs miniatures, the extra articulation and more versatile weaponry makes up for it.Fili's two swords fit into a scabbard on his back and Kili has a removable sword that the packaging doesn't display that's already fitted into a scabbard on his back (the arrows aren't removable, though there's an extra slot for his bow). These figures are larger than the 3" sized AOME (the dwarfs are almost a full head taller than AOME Uruk-Hai) so you won't be interchanging them, but the detail and facial expressions are almost as good and match those from the movie. Some of the articulation is a bit stiff, but poseable once it's been adjusted. The detail work on the clothes and weaponry is amazing, and I've found more daggars on Fili from looking at the figure than I knew he carried in the movie. So far, this line of figures has lived up to expectations, and I can't wait to collect the rest of them.Fili & Kili were always my favorite dwarves from The Hobbit the book, so when I learned that Aidan Turner was to be Kili, making for a terribly sexy dwarf at that(that phrase is still so wrong, but I no longer care!), I decided I must have whatever merchandise was available. Couldn't find this pair in the local stores, but the others in the series didn't look too bad, so I hoped the display picture maybe wasn't the best(I'm also a pro figure painter, so I planned on repainting them anyway...)Yeah, pretty much what you see is what you get. The Kili figure looks nothing like Aidan Turner. Fili looks more like Dean O'Gorman, but still, I foresee a LOT of work in my near future to make these boys display-worthy. Besides a distinct lack of 'sexy dwarfness' these figures are also cursed with poor accessories & just a poor paint job overall.
I expected better quality from official Hobbit merchandise(maybe I was spoiled with the LotR figures...)
