Kale Nolan, Heroic Warrior

Kale Nolan, Heroic WarriorThis is a 25/28mm pewter gaming mini. A bit larger than most figures in this scale, when assembled it's quite impressive. The pose is very dynamic, and the details are nice and sharp.

The figure requires assembly the sword/hand part is separate from the rest of the figure, and is cast as part of the base. You'll need clippers to separate the parts, files to clean up the mold seams, and superglue to attach the hand and sword. I drilled holes into the forearm and hand so that I could add a short length of brass wire for extra strength because of the shape of the mini, I assume the hand will be handled often if used for gaming, and I was worried it might break off. The pin makes it very sturdy.

The base is a bit narrow, and could stand some additional support. I glued the figure to an aftermarket base from Reaper. He's very sturdy now.

If you are new to assembling figures, or lack the sorts of tools that make fixing them up easier, you may be better served w/ something simpler. But if you have some experience w/ building or modifying miniatures, then this is an excellent buy. Recommended.
