My son asked for this action figure for Christmas, and I didn't even know they existed!Boy was I lucky I decided to search Amazon.Thanks for rushing this in time for Christmas for me!
I enjoyed the Alex Rider movie OPERATION STORMBREAKER for its own sake, but I found that both the fictional character and the actor who portrayed him, Alex Pettyfer also proved to be excellent archetypes for a fictional character that I'd developed independently from childhood, drawing upon similar Anglo-Saxon-Celtic norms. Thus I was delighted to find and buy the Alex Rider figure with the tan jacket, but this version with the black jacket and formal white shirt I like even better. (That says something because I like earth tones a lot and black not at all when it comes to clothing.)
This figure I find somewhat easier to pose in the upper body (the jacket isn't as restrictive), and while I still say no summer blond should have to be subjected to wearing black, the cut of this outfit makes Alex Rider look very dignified like the young James Bond he is. The figure is well-sculpted, well-colored and dynamically posed.
A Vandal Savage action figure I have lost its sword and scabbard by accident. Both have much black in their design. A little putty and I can equip this figure to look like my own literary creation by putting the sword on his back. So equipped, a friend and I agree that he looks like he could command the 7-inch wrestling champs I've been photographing him with for my own purposes he actually looks more intelligent and dangerous than they, even though they're twice as massive or more.
