Butterfly 303 Shakehand Table Tennis Racket

It's a good paddle for beginning and intermediate level. Good spin, good speed and fair control! Two different type of surfaces makes your shots more unpredictable. A good deal at that cost! Recommended!

New to table tennis and very competitive with my fiancee. We recently got a ping pong table and had been using the cheap rackets that came with it. Since he decided to upgrade his racket I figured I should do the same. This racket is completely different from what came with the table. First time using it I thought it was pretty heavy and noticed it has a lot more power than the others. Takes some adjustments to get used to both of those aspects. But once you get the hang of it its a great racket. I Like that there are two different sides so you can use whichever is better for your opponent.

I'm totally disappointed. First from Butterfly to make this thing that is named a table tennis racket!! I depended primarily on the name of Butterfly because I used to play with their products for more than 15 years. I tried Sriver, superSriver, Sriver FX even SuperAnti. Also tried their carbon blades, Mazunov, Gergely. I know that this item is for beginners and cannot be compared to these products I mentioned, but the name Butterfly is still there which means that the lowest grade of rackets must still valuable. Second, disappointed from the customers who reviewed this products and call themselves (intermediates!!!). I thought that the intermediates players are the local champions!! I won many local champions outside USA and inside USA (on the University level) and cannot call my self intermediate!!!

Apart from my disappointment let's evaluate the product. The black backhand is very slow and spinning power is not more than 5, it is good in defence but cannot support multibackhand spins, it will let you down after the second spin.

The red forehand is piped out!! Although it is faster than the black rubber and its spin is acceptable (not excellent), but the pipes make poor adjustment of ball direction, needs more and more practice to control your spin.

Packaging and delivery were more than excellent, the racket shape is so nice and the double pack is amazing (If the shape attracts you). Delivery is so earlier than estimated, the item arrived 3 days before estimated time which is wonderful as usual from Amazon. Thanks everybody for your patience.

This ping-pong paddle is the bomb! I started playing ping-pong in the breakroom at work about a year ago. I originally bought one of the garbage Wal-Mart paddles for $6 that lasted about 2 weeks of learning to hit the ball. Upon deciding to upgrade, the reviews and price of the Butterfly 303 just made sense. This paddle improved my game IMMEDIATELY! All of my co-workers want to try playing with this paddle. I love that one side is a different surface than the other. I've found that the extra pop from the red side works best with my weak forehand. The grip of the black side works great with my backhand to produce some serious spin. Stop thinking. Buy this paddle.
