DC Heroclix Watchmen 2011 Fast Forces Deluxe Starter Game Includes 6 Figures

For Heroclix players the 2011 Watchmen set is not necessarily going to win you any tournaments unless you know what you're doing.The majority of the pieces are extremely cheap, and give you a decent team for about 400 points.They cover about all of the main abilities, and Night Owl's carry ability (he can basically carry your entire Watchmen team into battle using Archie) gives you a decent edge when you need to quickly swarm your opponents or get the heck out of dodge.The "zen" manhattan (zenhattan?) is reasonably powerful, but slightly expensive at 150 points.The biggest downside is that most of the pieces have relatively low defense values making them easy to hit.

Like most modern clix, the sculpts are pretty good.They are true to the movie characters and look good on a shelf.Some of the pieces have thin legs attached to the base, but after using them for a few times I haven't had any problems with breakage (I have had a problem with breakage with similarly thin pieces).

For fans of the comics or the game series these pieces give you an opportunity to pick up a handful of fun figures for a low cost.If you are new to the series there are fast forces sets that will give you more powerful teams, but this set gives you a lot of team prospects for a fair introduction to the game.

Just used this collection last week for a 500 point game. The held up to some higher level characters. Weren't the best on the map, but if you keep them clustered together you'll do alright.

I would think Dr. Manhattan would have a little more oomph, but honestly, I had a great time.
