I really spent weeks trying to decide if I wanted to spend this much money on a step stool. But our little girl wanted so badly to be able to reach the faucet to wash her own hands and climb up on the potty herself, so I finally went for it. It is so cute and well made. The kid's bathroom is somewhat small, but this does not take up a lot of floor space so it has turned out to be a great purchase! I love the little cloth ears and tails, too.
We purchased this for our daughters bedroom.She needed a step stool to get onto her bed.Its works perfectly.The legs are not straight up and down as another reviewer said, which was great for us as they tuck under her bed some.It helps for a stable balance.The height is perfect as well.My only dissapointment is that for the cost they should package it better.The Zebra's were scratched.Not bad enough to return but when you buy a product you dont want it already damaged.The ears and tail are fabric which adds to its cuteness.For my 2 1/2 year old daughter I think it is a great addition to the overall look of her room.
When you receive this item, the manufacturer has a note stating how they take pride in their workmanship and that they inspect their work.This is awful because the item arrived with a small crack across the top step and scuffed up paint on one side of the zebra.The scuffed paint may be due to poor packaging.If they used bubble wrap this may not have happened but they used a thin shipping paper.So, I'll blame the packaging for the scuffed up paint however, it doesn't justify the crack on the top step.I decided to keep it because it is very cute and mu daughter loves it but if she didn't like it, I would have definitely returned it.For what I paid, over seventy dollars, it definitely was not worth it.

I ordered this product from Amazon and was hoping that it would be well worth the price.The first one I received was so cute but missing paint on the left side of the Zebra.My daughter loved it so I called Amazon and they shipped me an immediate replacement.The replacement had the same issue.Paint was missing on the left side and the right side also had some missing paint.It wasn't perfect and for the price I wanted a "new" product vs. a "like new" product.Amazon only offered me 10% off for the damage so I sent them both back.I was really sad because my daughter just loved the product.
All that being said, I do believe that the issue was a manufacturer issue, not an Amazon issue.The product was packed well and both boxes were undamaged.Other than the paint being missing, there is one pretty big downside to the step stool.Usually step stools are placed against something so a toddler can reach it effectively.For us, we were using it so our 20 month old could reach the bathroom sink to wash her hands.Because of the super cute zebra design, it the stool did not sit flush against the cabinet and had about a 4" gap between the step stool and the wall.I was very cautious while she used it because I was certain that she could easily slip through the hole and hurt herself.I wish this product could have worked for us and now I'm searching again for the perfect step stool.
