Spy Wire will be a good one for holiday gatherings as it's fast and the adults will be willing to match their wits against the kids too. We haven't played a lot of games, but so far it seems well balanced in terms of no big advantage of the first player in a turn. Good game.My daughters (ages 7 and 8) got to play this game today and were addicted. It's marketed toward boys, but is appealing for both boys and girls. You slide the tiles trying to make connections before the electronic timer signals the end of your turn.If you make a connection(s) before time is out, stop your timer, and those extra seconds will be added to your final turn.Pull your opponents pegs on all the connections you've made, and when you find all three "special" pegs, your opponent has one last turn to try to tie the game, otherwise you win!The electronic timer and voice commands, coupled with the need for speed and strategy, make this game a winner.Even kids who prefer video games to board games will be drawn to this.

We bought this game for our 11 year old boy.Once we figured it out, we enjoyed it.It's important to read the directions carefully (for instance, the tiles must be placed in an exact orientation on the game board which is called a "tablet" in the directions).Positives outweigh the negatives, but here are a few negatives. We managed to somehow lose a peg under one of the electronic timers and had to take the board apart on that end to retrieve it. It seems like it would be simple enough to seal the edges so this wouldn't happen. But now that we know, we can be more careful. It also would be nice to have an extra peg or two of each color in case one of the small pieces gets lost. While it's nice to have pull out drawers to store the small fuses, it would have been nice to have a drawer added underneath to store the tiles since they are just sitting loosely on the gameboard. It's necessary to keep the box or store the tiles in a ziplock. My son and I enjoyed playing the game and played it several times in a row.His visiting friend of about the same age, however, found it frustrating and wouldn't play again after the first time.I would definitely buy this game again.

My sons, 7 year old and 9 year old, enjoy playing this game~!We had to play few times to get used to the rules, but after figuring out how it worked, it was great:)It's a little hard for my younger son at first, and we had to change the rules a little for him, but overall, it's a great game~!Want Spy Gear Games Spy Wire Discount?
My son is a Spy Gear fan and had several of their toys on his Christmas list. But he had never seen this in the stores so it was a complete surprise. The way the game is played is hard to describe so I won't try.But a good time was had by all.
