Imaginarium Police Station Fire House Combo

The material is made out of 1/4 inch particle board. The building was not difficult to build.There are only 4 screws that are needed; the rest of the panels slide in hook together.The constructions itself starts a little shaking , but it turns into a solid structure after finishing. The doors to the fire house open and close with the turn of the knobs. The windows all open and close on the side panel for the fire trucks, all the others do not. There is a sliding door for the jail and you can really ring the bell. The furniture is constructed of a more solid material.The side panel with the jail has a hinge opening for the robber to escape.The people are well made but they don't fit into the police car and the fire truck.Overall my son loved this toys, he thought the people not fitting in the car was quite funny and squished them in any way.Educational wise they are using hand eye coordination, fine motor movements and developing creativity and social play.Price wise, i suggest that you find it for lower than 169, the material really isn't worth the price.The idea is there, but the quality of material is not worth the price.

I just bought this for my son while in Toys R Us today. It was only $32 and thought, "why not?!" what a pain to put together. 5 pieces were broken when I opened it. It needs to be glued to keep it sturdy. If I had paid the original price of $70 I would've returned it. I cannot lie though... He LOVES it. He's been plating with it for hours.

I din't pay this much, I paid $65 at toys r us. I put it together in about an hour, it wasn't that hard. My boys are 2 1/2 and 3 1/2 and they have not stopped playing with it in 2 days. It is worth what I paid but definitely not what it's on here. I'm going to take a reviewer's suggestion from the toysrus site and take it apart and put back together with liquid nails.

Purchased from toysrus. While my husband was putting it together noticed that the firestation roof was damaged... Call manufacturer for replacement piece should be a simple fix. When you go to imaginarium.com it directs you to toysrus.com so I called them and they informed me that they purchased imaginarium and could not sent out a replacement piece since they do not carry replacement pieces. They suggested that I package it up and send it back to them for a new set however, since they are all sold out they told me to watch the website until I find it available again to get a new one. I couldn't take this Xmas gift from my son because of 1 piece so we ended up rigging it but will never buy this brand again!!!! At least with other manufacturers you can call or email them for replacement pieces with no issues.

I bought this from Toys R Us for $60.00 as a Christmas gift for my five year old son. He absolutely loves it!!! He has a tendency to destroy toys very quickly. This has held up extremely well! A tiny piece of the corner chipped off in a failed attempt to scoot it over a bit. It was easily glued back. Once this is assembled it really can't be moved, without plywood or something. I myself am disappointed that the characters do not fit in the vehicles, however he has never mentioned it. We made little beds for the firemen, because there are a few extra rooms that seem to have no purpose. The jail cell is awesome! Everything about this toy is carefully detailed. It has so far produced hours of fun!!!All in all this is one of my favorite purchases yet! :)
