This table is shipped in three separate pieces, along with the stool and the table accessories. Assembly is straightforward. The parts are hollow plastic, pretty much identical to that of other Step 2 products. The table is large enough for two average sized preschoolers/kindergarteners to sit and play. There are four cups which are held in the table itself, these can be used to store legos or blocks as your little one builds. There is a sorting tray on each side, the blue rectangular objects you see on each side in the product's photo. There are two separate baseplates which do hold your typical lego blocks. I will get to those shortly. The stool is hollow plastic and is assembled by snapping two leg pieces to the top.
Pros This table is easy to assemble, decently sized and shaped with block building in mind.
Cons The baseplate is poorly concieved and is not of a good quality compared to the large baseplates you might find as manufactured by Lego. There are two separate parts and a square section in the middle with no baseplate at all. The entire top should be a baseplate if this is supposed to be a block table.
The bins are small with no lid. They are easily knocked off the shelves.
The table itself has no weight to it. This is both a good attribute and a bad one all in one. If you have children who like to climb you might find them flipping this table because it is so light.
If you want a lego table at a low price this would be one to consider. If you have a bit bigger budget I would strongly suggest one of those wooden tables also sold on Amazon. This table is a neat concept, but if you want a LEGO table even this one is more practical: Little Tikes EasyAdjust Play Table or this: KidKraft Lego Compatible 2 in 1 Activity Table. The latter can be accompanied by a few cheap sterlite bins for your "stuff".
My final verdect you won't be unhappy with this product, yet there are better. I would even suggest getting a few large baseplates, a mat and a few Sterlite bins and using the kitchen table or a train table as a building platform vs. this table. Three stars and I know it may seem harsh but I can't tell you that I would purchase this table if I were spending my money for a table.
()My daughter is five and a little tall for her age.We bought her a drafting desk and swivel stool because she loves to draw and paint, however, we soon realized that she really wasn't big enough for it yet, and it didn't offer much in the way of storage. When Amazon Vine offered this item to me to review, I was a little concerned that my daughter would be too big for it, but I couldn't resist when I saw all those storage cups, bins and trays. It arrived in a huge box, with picture instructions on how to assemble. I had never put together a piece of furniture made of plastic, but I assumed that it just snapped together or something, but you actually use screws, just like you would with wood.It went together quickly, and I set it up in my daughter's room to wait for her to arrive home from school.
To say she was thrilled with it is an understatement. She loaded it up with all her markers, crayons and pencils and has been drawing ever since. It's the perfect size for her right now, and I'm sure she'll outgrow it in a year or two, but we love all the storage and easy access to her art supplies.
It's made to be able to use with legos as well and comes with two base sheets that can be stored under the table on the insides of the legs when not in use.

()Our kids really like this workstation. It's fairly sturdy (but not too heavy) and even comes with a stool. It's not educational, per se, but it furthers their educational endeavors by giving them a workspace and places to store things and encourages learning a workflow. Our kids love having a place of their own for their stuff but it involves a certain degree of negotiating among them for what goes where. The cups for pencils and markers are nice although, because they come out, they end up everywhere.I don't care for the plastic bins that go on the sides they seem mismatched in terms of size too wide and too short for the shelves. All in all though, the kids love it.

()First of all, this table was very easy to assemble. It's made to be a building block table to be used with regular legos, but it can easily be used as a desk too, since the baseplates are removable. It has lots of pockets and bins where you can store all the legos and pencils and knick-knacks kids always have sprawled all around. So it's a very comfortable and nice solution for little creative artists like my five year old.
My daughter immediately wanted it as a desk, so I had to remove one of the blue little storage plates that go on top so she had space to write. I'm putting up a picture in the customer's pics, if you want to see it because they one with the little girl drawing on one side and the boy playing lego on the other is a bit misleading because the girl is at an angle facing the camera so you can't really see that there's not enough space to draw with the two blue plastic storage plates there. However, she also has her legos stored there, but we had to throw them in the bins because the normal-sized lego boxes that they come in like LEGO® Pink Brick Box (5585), don't fit in the table's shelves.
So overall, it has some defects, but you wont be disappointed. The biggest pro is the storage and organizing part and the fact that they can both, play and write in the same table.

()When I first saw the Step2 Activity Table it looked perfect for crafting and activities for my nieces and nephews. Ordered, received and assembled with ease as the instructions are easy to follow. The table comes in three large pieces the table top and two sides. The stool is in 3 pieces as well. The cups, bins and sorting trays are also separate, but easily added to the table and built in shelves after building.
It's sturdy and works exactly as we hoped for the kids. With enough room to have two children working at the same time on the same or different projects was an added bonus.
Being that it's made out of plastic makes for easy cleaning and the bins are perfect for storage when it comes to crafting supplies or Lego's. Speaking of Lego's the table also comes with two Lego bases that can be stored on the inside of the tables' legs when not in use.
I do have to mention two small but noticeable downfalls I see that there's nothing to keep the bins on the shelves on either side in place. I worry about those being knocked off easily, especially when holding small pieces. I also wish that since there is enough room for two children to be working at the table at the same time that this came with two stools instead of one. However, neither of these comments takes away from the overall enjoyment or functionality of this product.
