I didn't pay attention to the dimensions so this guy was surprisingly big. I might of liked the "jr" size better. Either one is expensive but they're most certainly collector's items. The other animals in the series also look awesome, although they're even more pricey. Bottom line, this toy is well made with good materials. It's innovative and stylish. The wooden storage box is also a nice touch. Price is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.

When my boyfriend saw this purchase he asked who it was for (ME, me and for MEEEEE), why I needed another "toy" and why I got it.No worries...these were questions I could easily answer.

I researched this artist and really wanted to own one of his pieces and as life strangely works, the more I knew that I wanted to buy one (as soon as the prices came down) the more I saw these wooden "toys" everywhere!So I decided that if I was able to find one at a more reasonable price, I wouldn't hesitate! So during my lunch breaks I would do a search online waiting for a magic number to appear. After all, trying to land one of these babies for myself was not going to happen at retail price so I waited...and waited.And guess what?I found this item FOR SALE thru the Warehouse Deals @ Amazon.com!BINGO it was going to be mine!When I opened the package I wanted to see what all the hype was about because when it comes down to it...this really is just a solid wooden "toy" with black elastic bands placed in just the right spots to allow moving and positioning of my Areaware Hanno the Gorilla in a variety of ways at an enormous mark-up.I am happy that I purchased this, but would never have done so at full price because it is not worth it.However, if you can get it on sale, this is a great way to begin or add to your art collection!
