GREAT INSTRUCTIONS:
Poor instructions often lead to poor reviews. I like to look at the instructions of a product as an extension of manufacturer's customer service. "I need help putting this product together, so please give me something that makes perfect sense so I do not have to ask for help." I do not know what was better, the easy to follow and understand step by step written instructions, or the VERY clear visual pictures. Ballpark Classics met me at my level and made very clear the process of assembly.
EASY ASSEMBLY
I spread out all the neatly organized parts on the floor and began assembly, with the help of my 3 year old. EVERYTHING went together exactly as described.......the first time. My assembly time was just a touch over 20 minutes, but there was a part of me that did not want it to end. It was a fun process and made me feel just little like Ray Kinsella from that ever so famous movie. I got caught up in the moment and looked at my daughter and said, "If you build it, they will come." With a smile on my face and a confused look on hers, we exchanged high fives just like we do every time she finishes a task successfully.Just looking at this ball field was pleasing in itself. It could not get more realistic in design and detail than
what Ballpark Classics has put together.
PLAYS EVEN BETTER THAN IT LOOKS
Keep in mind, my first time playing this game was with my daughter....who is 3. Her first pitch was a strike and so my first swing. What a great game for teaching yourself, and your kids hand/eye coordination. After a little while we both got the hang of it and things got pretty exciting. We managed to hit singles, doubles, and triples in the short game we played. My daughter was given MVP for literally hitting one completely out of the park. Our first ball game together took place right in our living room. Her love for baseball continues to grow!
STORES EASILY
Many times family games like this(foosball, air hockey, rod hockey, pool tables, poker tables, etc.) are a lot of fun to play, but consumers are limited to what they can purchase based on space. During game play the ball field has a pretty good size foot print. What I really love about it is the fact that when all is said and done I can EASILY store away. Anyone could own this game! I choose to have mine sit in plain view in my office so others can admire it as well, but it could be stored under a bed, in a closet, behind the couch, or it would make a great discussion piece out on a coffee table.
Hope you enjoy the game as much as we do!
I picked one of these up last Christmas and my kids (16, 15, 10 & 5) immediately started playing; my 5-year old daughter has even learned to "pitch" a wicked curveball. It's been 10-months and the game still has a prominent spot on my living room table and we'll play a couple of games a week. The action is very realistic and everyone is learning about tracking balls and strikes and patience at the plate.
The game arrived very well protected in custom double boxes and the fit and finish is excellent.I haven't noticed any significant wear on the parts (even though my 15-year old son tries to go downtown on every swing of the bat).It has appealed to all generations and even my non-baseball loving wife.
If you are a baseball fan, I highly recommend this game.

I am 26 and thought this would be a good game for the game room. One of the best table games I have ever played and this is the new favorite game in the game room. If you like baseball at all, get this game!Read Best Reviews of Ballpark Classics MLB Baseball Game Here
I purchased this game for my husband. My adult son assembled the board on Christmas Eve and discovered that one of the wooden frame pieces was not attached properly. (My fault for not thoroughly checking the board when I opened the apparently undamaged package upon delivery 10 days prior.) I considered returning the product, but my son reassured me that he could easily tack the frame in place with some supplies he brought with him on Christmas morning, which he did.But then the baseball bat came off its metal barrel on Christmas morning as we started to play. I got out the glue gun and reattached it.
I thought the price was high for the product, but after reading the other reviews about the quality construction and how much fun it is to play, I felt that it must be worth it. (I paid $224. Now as I write this on Christmas evening, I see that the price is down to $173.) Oh well, who knew?
All that said, we (all 11 of us) did have fun playing the game.

This certainly is a "one of kind" item.Over the years of raising children and a husband who is a game fanatic, we have come across items that we thought were just like this.WRONG!!!Ballpark Classics is a TRUE baseball game.... pitches(fastballs, curveballs, sliders, etc.), strikes, balls, hits, walks, and best of all, HOME RUNS.The whole family gets in on the fun, but my husband and the "boys" probably put the most hours on the field. The other thing that stood out to me as a consumer is the craftsmanship.Even though it is very portable and we can just store it in the closet when we are done playing, we choose not to.It's just so darn good looking!A lot of times we will leave it out on the coffee table or just leave it leaned up against the entertainment center. It is a great conversation piece when having guests over.... and then of course they want to know how it works.... and then it's game on.
The last thing we absolutely love is how authentic the field looks. We know why Major League Baseball wanted there name on this one.My husband can't wait for the other MLB stadiums to be released so he can start his collection of parkpacks.
Don't hesitate.... You will LOVE this game!
Mom of 2..... well, make that 3.
