I bought this for my 18 month old son and my 4 year old daughter.I can't tell who loves it more.My son loves that he can work the remote control and likes watching all the lights and sounds.My daughter loves to pretend play with the train and has Santa and his Elf dropping off presents to the gingerbread men and soldiers all the time!It wasn't hard to put together and so far it hasn't had any breaking problems (even with stepping and sitting on it!)Great product!

Just set this up a few minutes ago, so I can't speak to its durability. Never having had any Geo Trax sets before, I and my girls got a little frustrated with getting the train properly set on the track. Once it was on, it seemed pretty good. There is enough track to fit around the tree, which is nice. The pieces that trigger responses to the train (station, bridge, pond and lights) are really cute. I wish the set had come with guardrails for all 6 curves instead of just 3, and that there were enough decorations to fill all the slots (a few decoration spots are empty).

Overall, a cute product. Here's hoping it lasts!

My four kids are having a blast with this set.We also bought the other lesser expensive Xmas one and linked them together to make a really cool layout under our tree.This set is great because you can turn all the lights off in the living room and watch it in action.The music element is neat too.Best part is that it all came WITH batteries!We were able to use it right out of the box!

For my three year old grandson who is obsessed with trains, this has been the perfect gift to play with during the season.The music and Santa saying "Ho Ho Ho!" have provided endless fun to this little fellow.Well worth the money even though I found it could be purchased directly from ToysRUs as an exclusive.Still I may not have been able to locate it in time for the holidays.
