The set looks very plain in the picture, and I had some reservations about ordering it. However, because the other options were so poorly reviewed, and because the price was right, I decided to take the chance. Was I ever glad I did!!This set came ready to assemble, and it couldn't have been easier to put together. No special tools are needed, just the allen wrench that comes with it.
Once put together, it is unbreakable -unless one is really determined to damage it. I know this, because my niece, who the set was for, tried to sit in the chair so she could have tea with the doll that I gave her!!
And, the plain presentation on Amazon notwithstanding, this set is VERY cute. I definitely plan to buy more of this furniture!
PS: I didn't give a rating for Educational Value because I don't think it applies for this kind of plaything. In terms of the rating for fun, I don't know how much use my niece gets out of it, since I live almost 300 miles away. I'm guessing she's getting at least some use out of it. And it's so darn cute and sized just right, that it HAS to add to the experience of playing with dolls! I sure I'd had something like this when I was a girl!

I bought this for my 7 year old daughter. She loves it. It is well-made and easy to put together. She uses it for her 18" dolls and they fit perfectly.
