I too had the same battery problem listed by so many others.Toys R US / Tabeo has fixed the problem.Do a Google search for "tabeo battery fix".It should be like the 3rd result down called "toys r us tabeo update".Make sure to install this update.I charged the Tabeo for 2 days and could only achieve about 91% charge.I followed the instructinos for the update and within 30 minutes, I was up to a 100% charge.This should save you alot of headache returning the item, and your children alot of frustration waiting for a new tablet.

Seriously people? You're going to buy Toy's R Us's substandard Android tablet for $149 (not even going to recognize Amazon's absurd price which is almost $100 over the retail price)? Get real these people released a tablet with specs from2 years ago (meaning that this is only a decent tablet back in 2010) and are selling it to parents who will pay a premium for the obsolete technology because it's "for kids". Which means, of course, that you will soon have to buy another tablet sooner rather than later, because it won't be long before the Tabeo won't be able to keep up with software development. Oh and by the way, no access to Google Play = the only real competitor to Apple's App store. So you're buying a quickly aging device that is further crippled by its inability to access 99% of Android software.

For just $50 more, you can buy a Nabi 2 which has the Tegra 3 processor. It's basically the Nexus 7 (what most experts are agreeing to be the Android tablet currently to beat). It's a Nexus 7 that takes the guesswork out of parental controls. There's a mode for kids with only apps that YOU approve, but when the kiddos are in bed (or when they're not playing with the tablet, because they shouldn't be glued to a screen all day), just enter your password, and you're back in stock Android 4.0. There's even a way to sideload the Google Play Store. Oh, and there's a slot to insert a microSD card to expand the memory to up to 32 Gigs and an HDMI out (which even the Nexus 7 lacks).

To RECAP for just $50 more, you can buy an industry standard tablet, with the appropriate parent controls, that meets durability requirements (check out the Nabi 2 drop tests on YouTube), AND can function as an adult tablet.

Or you could waste $150 on the Tabeo. Really, it's your call.

Please do not buy this product.I bought the Tabio for my granddaughter, big mistake.With the insurance, I paid $199. and it died after two weeks.Do you know what they gave me?? A credit card to shop at their store for $160. Please understand, I had to go to another store, to buy another product and paid $150. for that product.I was told by ToysRUs that if I hadn't gotten the insurance, I would have gotten nothing.REALLY??Insult to injury.This was THEIR product with THEIR name.Lousy customer service.I don't want their credit card, I paid with real money and want my real money back.

THIS IS ONE OF THE WORST PRODUCTS I HAVE EVER BOUGHT! I ONLY GAVE IT 1 STAR BECAUSE THE SYSTEM MADE ME, IF IT WERE UP TO ME I WOULD GIVE IT NONE! I BOUGHT 3, AND ALL 3 WERE DEFECTIVE. ONE OF THEM AT FIRST WAS FINE, BUT IT HAD SUCH A MAJOR DELAY MY KID WAS SICK OF SITTING THERE WAITING FOR THE NEXT SCREEN OR GAME TO COME UP. IT ENDED UP CRASHING. ONE OF THEM HAD DEAD PIXELS RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX!!!

I TOOK ALL OF THEM BACK AND BOUGHT THE KURIO TABLET FOR ALL 3 OF MY KIDS. THIS ONE IS MUCH BETTER. I HAVE SET THEM ALL UP, THEY ARE VERY FAST, THE CAMERA IS BOTH FORWARD AND REAR FACING ALONG WITH VIDEO. I WOULD SUGGEST THIS ONE INSTEAD. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE LINE CAN'T DO ANYTHING BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE ANY TO SEND ANYONE. I AM REALLY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS PRODUCT. WASTE OF TIME, MONEY, AND ENERGY!

WHAT A WASTE!

we purchased two tablets for our two children ages 2 and 4 because they always wanted to play on our ipad and we were afraid they would break it. so we purchased these which came with a lot of the apps that are on our ipad and they "LOVE IT" they dont even want to get off to charge which brings me to my complaints of only having between 2-3 hour battery life & the camera is not great quality but is decent enough to skype there grandparents and snap pics of themselves. our 2 year old dropped the unit a couple times already but it has had no effect. the rubber case on it is awesome. when they get older they can take the rubber off and it is a beautiful white tablet underneath. it has a fast processor, its up on line almost as soon as you hit the browser. fast downloads and installs. you can facebook or whatever you like to do. its like a kids version of our ipad (only its android). our 2 year old uses it with ease and I really mean it when I say they cant put it down.
