My wife and I purchased this toy for our young daughter. We chose it because she enjoyed a similar activity table at her pediatrician's office and we like Thomas the Train quite a bit. OK, dad likes trains quite a bit. This particular toy is well constructed and the perfect size for our daughter but it does have some major problems. Each of the various functions produce long drawn out reactions. It is difficult for a child to differentiate that each aspect of the toy does something different. Each audible reaction overlaps the others and they all sound the same. This toy has virtually no value as a tool for development. The sound quality is so muffled that it is hard to differentiate the individual sounds of letters or words. My daughter will stand and push it around the room as if it were a walker. This psuedowalker manifestation has been this toys only real value. I wish we had purchased the activity table we saw at the pediatrician's. We do not recommend this toy at all.
A little disapointed with this Thomas Table. The train is not operated by any of the levers and the only way it moves is by pushing it. The other options are cute and look fun but havent amused my 11 month old as much as I thought it would. I wish we would have bought a less expensive one and he may have even liked it more.

My son likes this. Doesn't light up much to fully grasp his attention though. But it is durable and doesn't tip over on him like some toy tables can.
