The post is very weak. It's made of plastic. The picture and review rate are misleading. Don't buy, don't buy.

This net is perfect for those of us that don't have a permanent spot for the table.It is very easy to take on & off the table. No screws to turn. No clamps.The design keeps the net taut with a minimum of hardware. I have had my table for over ten years and am on my second net, which is pretty good durability.

The net is really nice, but the brackets seemed to be a cheap brittle plastic with a weak point that looked like it would be very likely to break.I returned it.

Prior to buying I saw the reviews on this net were mostly good. But after I purchased it, set it up and have now played a few games, I am finding that the net is more than satisfactory & for around $22 is a very good value. It fits my Kettler table-top table just perfect. The design is smart and requires no tightening of bolts or clamps, therefore not marring the top or the bottom of the table. Know that it is plastic and therefore may not be good for situations where kids recklessly run around the table, as the net extends about 6" outside each side of the table -the terminals could break if someone inadvertently knocked against it. Showing some care with that, this net should last for many, many years.

Great net.It straddles the two table halves, so truly goes in the middle, unlike the standard cheap net that attaches to one half, and is then off-center.The net tension is adjustable, so basically it has everything a serious player needs like the more expensive nets have for a LOT less money.It is plastic, so if you are in a rough environment, my might want to go with metal, but you can buy 2-3 of these for the price of metal.
