My son is a rabid train buff (he's going to be 10 this January) and this was his first quality large scale train.He's been having a grand time with it and is already planning on expanding his inventory.He's been placing small flashlights in Annie and Claribel to light the passenger car windows from inside.He had me going at first because I was pretty sure those cars did not come with installed lighting!!;-)

I am very happy with this product.The locomotive and cars look great and run good.They are very sturdy and hold up to the abuse from our 2 year old and 3 year old.There are no small detail parts that can be knocked off and lost while being played with by the kids.My only real complaint is that the track is flimsy for 1-gauge standards and will work its way loose after significant running.I will defintely be looking to add on with Percy and others in the series from Bachman.This is a good product.
