Marquis Leather Backgammon Set

I purchased this set thinking it was going to be 1 full piece of leather that was wrapped around the playing board.That is not what I got.The leather is a patch work of leather pieces, with some visible and ugly stitching.Leather or not, I didn't feel this was worth spending $100 on.

This was a birthday product for my husband. He loved it. It is beautiful and I love the fact that it is real leather. It even smells good! Would recommend this set.

Beware the patchwork design of the leather.I was a bit surprised at how much it appears to be a bunch of scraps sewn together.I was also a little disappointed at the quality and feel of the materials inside the case, once I opened it up.The points are made of a very thin, plasticky material, which seems out of place with the leather cover and dice cups.Overall it's not bad, but it wasn't great either.I settled for this one and decided to keep it however, considering the next step up with a nice one-piece leather covered case was almost double the price.

I bought this backgammon set for my boyfriend as a gift. I was drawn to it because it was real leather (smells wonderful too!) and the price was very competitive. As an earlier review noted, the leather is in pieces stitched together. I personally love the stitching, I think it makes the case look very interesting! My boyfriend was so thrilled to receive this as a gift and loves it!
