Difficult to stand on to putt without wrinkling green felt.
Advertised elsewhere for 30 dollars less. Of course the other site did not list shipping charges and Amazon shipped free, but I doubt that they would have been 30 dollars for thid fairly large but light item.
NO rules or directions for play included.
Really needs to come with a storage bag so pieces don't get lost. I bought a large mesh laundry bag but felt at this price a bag should have been included.
Nice putters! Balls are nice indoor ones but don't break (in the pool sense) very well since they are light weight. We have mostly made up our own games rather than trying to play pool from instructions found on Yahoo Search. The cue ball is really too light to work very well, so we usually hit balls directly.
So it is fine but much too expensive for what it is. I like it better than my grandkids (boys 4, 6, 10, 16), who find it a bit awkward and boring to play--constant readjustments of green, lack of instructions, not very challenging to play as putt-putt and really difficult to play with cue ball since it is so light. Of ncourse, since it is light, we haven't had injuries or accidents with windows or tv screens! We ordered this game as a Christmas present for our daughter and arrived home to find that UPS had dropped it off, and there it was, giant box with a big picture of the game on it sitting on our front doorstep. So much for a surprise present. It would have been nice to have the product description state that it does not ship in a bare brown box, but in a white box with the product named and pictured.
It assembles relatively easily, but the green cloth has very prominent creases on it where it has been folded and stored in its box.We had to stretch it over a shower rod and spray it down with water to get some of the creases out.
The balls are real golf balls (or at least real putt-putt golf balls) and the solid 7 balls plus the 8-ball are solid colored, with bright, vibrant colors. The stripes, however, are not white and color-striped, but are white, with a black strip and a number boring, and hard to keep track of which ball is which.
The frame is made from hollow plastic tubes and the pockets are indoor golf putting cups. It's sturdy enough if you leave it on the floor, but don't do what I did, which was try to nudge it with your foot a few inches over, or you will hear a loud creaking-cracking noise and my frame appears to have cracked. It comes with two putters, which have reasonably heavy blade-shaped heads, but rather flexible fiberglass shafts, fairly solidly made.
The problem with this game is that it's just not very much fun to play.It is a lot harder to use a putter to hit a golf ball used as a cue ball to hit another fairly diminutive-sized golf ball and have it go where you want than it is to stike a cue ball with a pool cue on a billiards table.Balls tend to go in a variety of directions but seldom fully in control in the intended direction. It can be played just by putting balls into the cups, but that isn't much fun, either.
Overall, I don't recommend this product.Golf is my favorite sport, yet I didn't find this game helped me practice putting or was even as interesting as just practicing putting on the carpet. It takes up a lot of space and ours has just sat there in the basement unused for over a month now.

Got this for my nephew and his dad for Christmas, we had a blast with it. The balls are real golf-balls and I think they could do better getting the stripes and solids as just that. They are marked, and it's easy to figure out, but the stripes need to be STRIPES:)I agree it should come with a storage bag for the price. It was simple to assemble. The putters seemed great quality (dangerous with rambunctious under six, needs supervision) and the balls were real, which means if you loose one, a permanent marker and a golf ball should do the trick to replace one.The cue ball doesn't really break the rack, but enough to get you started. This was great as an adults playing with the kids activity.Be sure to keep the box to put it all back into. There were assembly instructions but not game instructions, but we already understand the concept.Anyone who knows how to play pool will understand this immediately. Just realize, that under six, the lamps and windows in the room are threatened unless there is supervision! The product was received on time and in new condition. It was easy to set up, but for the money it wasn't worth it. My four year old was dissapointed as the holes are extremely hard to get the lightweight nerf like ball in.....This is absolutely fun! You use putters to putt golf balls that look like pool balls into slots on the pool table. Easy to put together. My kids love it! My only complaint is the green surface gets dirty easily and after I vacuumed it there is a small hole in the green. Overall, it's the perfect addition to a playroom or basement!
