()This "Sit to Stand Music Skool" rocks in more ways that one.It not only rocks in the music department, but rocks in the educational one, including its ability to encourage a wide assortment of developmental skills.The songs are bright and have upbeat versions of not only standard nursery rhymes such as "London Bridge is Falling Down," folk dances such as "Skip to My Lou," and contemporary music.Additionally, preschoolers and toddlers can create their own songs as they "work."If the "Sit to Stand Music Skool" becomes idle for a few seconds, it asks, "Hey, where did you go?" or says, "Hey, let's rock some more!"Some of the songs can be heard again if the toddler repeats certain actions. For example, much to my delight, Michael Jackson's early song, A B C, can be heard if the letters are played twice in succession.Once the letter A is hit for the third time, the song begins and the fun can start as a sing-along with a parent, grandparent, or parent begins.

Inevitably there always comes a point where patience runs out and thankfully there is a mute button, which will undoubtedly be used.I'm a grandmother and know that Addy's Daddy doesn't appreciate this type of toy, but Mom adores them.

All of these modes are flip-of-the-switch.English/Spanish is on the separate green button on the top of the center console while the volume switch, including the mute, are on a red sliding to the right.The learning/music modes are changed by sliding the large orange knob above the three-keyed keyboard.
According to the developer, "This toy also helps encourage development of Fine Motor Skills, Gross Motor Skills, Cognitive Learning, Sensory Development and Speech & Language."I can easily see where many of these skills and concepts can be encouraged.For example in the learning model when the purple record is spun to the right we hear such words as `forward,' `backward,' `high,' `low,' `fast' or `slow' depending upon what the child is doing.
The age range for this toy varies from the ages of six months to thirty-six.For the youngest child this toy can be placed on the floor and play can be random or interactive with another child or adult.The "microphone" is essentially a rattle and can be used by all ages to shake out a tune, for pretend singing, or just used as a rattle.The legs, red, yellow, purple, and green are vibrantly colored and sturdy plastic.The learning possibilities are plentiful, but all in all, this toy simply rocks!
So far what I like:
-it entertains him for more than 5 min.He doesn't get bored with it easily like some other toys.
-I'm not completely irritated by the same song over and over.It doesn't have tons of songs like it claims, but enough variety that I don't have the music stuck in my head like other toys.
-He has figured out lots of things and even seems to have started saying "one, two" after pushing the counting button enough.
What I'm not sure about:
-some of the music choices.Some of the music is very recent (like J.Lo's recent hit) and that is just odd to me.
-he can switch the mode himself and will sometimes just switch back and forth between "rock" and "learn," but doesn't quite understand what it is doing yet, so he is frustrated when it doesn't play the music.
What I would like changed a bit:
-It moves too easily.My son slides this thing all over the place.I would like if the legs had a little more grip on them (we have hardwood floors) so it would stay in one place instead of being pushed all around the house.
Overall, I think this is a great toy!My son will get plenty of enjoyment out of it for many more months (or years) and when the next two arrive in a few months, I can start using it with them at a few months of age.

()I originally got this toy for my toddler but my four year old loved it as well. We've had it for a few months now and it hasn't lost its appeal. My toddler plays with it more now that we've had it for a while but it is something that they can play with together if they want. The best part? There is an off switch so when the music and noise start to drive mommy crazy it can be turned off. The tunes do get stuck in my head at times, but it hasn't been too bad. All together we've really enjoyed this toy.

()My kiddos had a similar toy when they were six months to 24 months.It was LeapFrog Learn & Groove Musical Table.When I saw the Rocktivity Music Skool Table, I knew I had to grab it for my 8 month old God Son.Like the Leap Frog Table, the legs come off of this table.This option allows you to use it with your child before they start standing.Once they get the standing down, they can pull themselves up and start using the table.
As a teacher, I love all the learning going on with this table.The table encourages Gross-Motor Skills, Fine Motor Skills, and many Early Learning Skills.In fact, the turntable has DJ sound effects and teaches opposites, the keyboard plays notes and teaches colors and ABCs, the guitar plays music and teaches shapes and colors, the drum plays a beat as you tap and teaches numbers and counting!It's got a little bit of everything.
The toy has two modes.Learning Mode and Music Mode.In Music Mode, thebaby activates the many tunes by exploring the activities on the table. The music starts when the baby removes the microphone. The microphone is also a shaker that baby can shake along to the music it can be removed from the toy.
In Learning Mode and Spanish Mode, the baby will hear the names of colors, shapes, numbers, letters and opposites being called out.

My 9 month old and I LOVE this toy! Yes, it's a bit expensive, but I feel like it's already worth what we paid (for the record-it's cheaper here on amazon than where I bought it).Pros:
-I love that this table encourages standing. My son has been pulling up all over the house, and this toy gives him a much sturdier and safer item to pull up on.
-It is fairly sturdy. He pulls up, tries to crawl on top of it, and it hasn't tipped over, or showed any signs of crashing.
-The music is stimulating, and not too too loud like some other toys.
-Has plenty of little buttons and things for him to push, slide, roll, etc.
Cons:
-Only plays a few songs-not horrible, but I wish there were a few more
-there's a lot of little cracks, etc, and if your child spits up like mine, it can be tedious to keep wiping up
That's it! All in all, we love this toy and think it was worth the money.
