We've used this for my daughter to have her dinner plate on and it hasn't really worked as the surface of the tray is too slippery. The shiny plastic surface also doesn't seem to have stayed quite as even or flat as I would have liked. Having said that it could be useful for colouring etc.. although things do have a tendency to slide around. Fun flower print.
Love everything about this lap desk. The stuffed back side isn't rigid but yet keeps the desk on your lap. Love the cup holder too, very handy!
