I read the reviews and the many pros and cons about the lamp and decided to order it for my grand-daughter since we had just redone her bedroom in a Hello Kitty theme. Apparently the shade is extremely fragile as per other reviews because it arrived damaged. (I had ordered a similar lamp from another vendor and it also arrived damaged.) However, this vendor also tried to charge a restocking fee which was ridiculous since the lamp was unusable. Thank goodness Amazon resolved the issue. I ordered a lamp with a shade color that would blend with her room instead from Amazon and we are very happy with it. And no, you cannot just go buy a shade because it has an unusually sized attachemnt for it. Don't waste your money.
Bought this lamp for my daughter or rather it was my son's Christmas present to his sister and it didn't even last a year before it broke at the top by the light bulb.Not even gorilla glue would fix it.
