This can be used indoors or outdoors which is great. It has four small holes in the mat (around the edges) and comes with little golf tees to stake it into the ground if you're outside. The mat itself really nice vinyl and actually feels substantial. The red plush bird and the yellow plush bird that you toss at the green pig sitting on the blocks are also nice. The kids play with them all the time outside of the game as well. They love the plush birds, and they're a good size for taking places (we have some Angry Birds plush that are GARGANTUAN). Apparently there is a range of different birds you can buy to use if you want to expand your Angry Birds collection and use them for this game as well? Anyway, the pig is made from thick, squeezable plastic. Our pig also ends up in the pool a lot and it's doing fine. The blocks are standard, natural wood blocks nothing too amazing. You can stack the blocks a bunch of different ways but don't be surprised when your kids get inventive and find all kinds of other things to stack on the mat to set the pig on. The whole shebang goes into a red bag they include with a picture of the birds' face on it which is nice I hate having loose game pieces hanging around and having to ziploc bag everything.
It's actually more difficult than you might think to toss the bird and knock the pig over and have the pig land on the mat, but not impossible by any means. It's really easy to knock everything over, but to get it to land in the high scoring points takes some skill. The point of the game is that each round, whoever knocks the pig into the highest scoring area gets one star. The first person to three stars wins the game.
I am giving this 5 stars because it's so versatile and the pieces that come in it are all really well made. You can use the mat and birds as a simple bean toss game, play the Angry Birds game as the game is supposed to go, use different things instead of the included blocks, play with the plush birds alone, and the pig is a great pool toy. We've gotten our money's worth out of this for sure! Plus anything that gets the kids off of the iPad and actually outside playing (or indoors when it's rainy or nasty out)is great. I think that trying to convert a mobile game into an action game is tough, and this game does definitely benefit from kids using their creativity, but if they can still play Angry Birds while being outside and running around? Well worth it!I got this game in, and it's great, but 1 pig, 2 birds, and 3 blocks isn't enough. It says right on the box what site to go to to view the add-ons you can buy like more pigs, blocks, and the other birds. I go to the site, see all the items pictured, they don't sell them, amazon doesn't sell them, how do I get them?

I bought this for my daughter's 5th birthday since she is a huge Angry Birds fan. This is a pretty basic game. The playing field is laid out, you setup three wood pieces and place the pig on top, then start launching the birds at the pig. The game is scored by where the pig lands on the playing field, similar to a dart board. That is all there really is to this game. They supply you with some tees to stake the board game down if you are outside but again, this game is not really that big and easy enough to just setup in your family room.My daughter likes it but gets bored fast. She prefers the other Angry Bird games more, like on think ice, knock on wood.

The overall thought of this game is cool but you only get the mat, 3!!! wooden blocks, 2 birds and a pig. If you want more pieces then you have to buy the add ons, which I would have done if the description would have mentioned that it only had 3 blocks because how many different scenes can you really make with 3 wooden blocks! Now off on a mad rush to find wooden blocks for a birthday that is tomorrow.Want Angry Birds Indoor and Outdoor 3D Action Game Discount?
For $25 you get a plastic mat, 3 wood blocks, 2 birds and a pig. If you want to play with more than 2, you have to buy add-ons. If you want to make something more than a simple platform, you have to buy add-ons. You shouldn't have to spend more money to play a game that already cost $25.
