This set is a complete waste of money. It's poorly designed and falls apart with light use. My daughter stopped playing with it after the "movable ear" broke, the elevator became very hard to move, the folding floor pops off, and the door for the "fridge and oven" popped off. There is NO WAY this product is worth more than $25. COMPLETE RIP OFF. Steer clear. I don't write reviews much but in this case, I needed to warn others.
My niece and nephew love this playset. After reading the other reviews about it however, I was reluctant to purchase it. Overall, I am glad that I did. I had to be a little bit creative putting the set together. The design of the clubhouse itself is creative, but not really that durable. First of all, BOTH ears will keep falling off. I fixed this by putting double sided PERMANEANT tape at the base of the ears where they are supposed to click into place onto the clubhouse. NOTE: on the ear that opens up and moves up and down, I had to put TWO pieces of tape together (one on top of the other) and then attach the tape onto the piece of the ear base and fit the base into the hole. MAKE SURE that you position this ear in the direction that you want it to open up at. For instance, I positioned ours so that the ear opened facing UP, making it easier for the kids to put in their little fiqures and toys. This set comes with Toodles cards, and a separate wall/floor board that you insert when you are putting it together, all of these are made of a thin cardboard like material. I fixed this by taking them to my local mail n' ship and having them laminated (NOTE: the material that the cards are made from is thicker than normal so it makes the laminate seal not as tight as with paper. A good idea would be to get color copies of these pieces first and THEN laminate them). Afterwards, cut out the pieces so that they fit and you then have a MUCH MORE durable playset,(this cost me about $10). The yellow elevator shoe will not close if the elevator is pushed up too high, but it will close if you push the elevator down just a little. This doesn't detract from the set at all. There is also a red flag that attaches to the elevator itself, and it is supposed to go up and down WITH the elevator, it doesn't do this at all because the shoe is too small to fit the flag and it keeps falling off. This doesn't really bother the kid's either. The slide also comes off pretty easy,(it won't fall off for no reason, it has to be yanked a little to remove it) but this is a feature that my nephew seems to enjoy as he keeps pulling the slide off to attach it to the other side of the clubhouse, (there is a spot on either side that will allow for the slide to be positioned there). Something else to be aware of is that this set has stickers that need to be put in place and there is no diagram on where to place the stickers, but it was real easy for me to figure out by just looking at the pictures on the box. This set had a lot of features that I liked, such as the spotlight, which requires 2 AG13 batteries and is definitely worth inserting, the shoe elevator, the ear that has a hidden compartment and moves up and down, and the slide. The best part about this playset is definitely the six Mickey Mouse Clubhouse figures that come with it,(mickey, minnie, donald, daisy, goofy, pluto). The figures are more durable with bright vibrant colors, and they also have more moving parts than in any of the playsets purchased at walmart or toys r us. I also liked the Toodles Center in the playhouse. There are TWO switches in the Toodles Center, one that changes the mouseka tools and another that opens this flap that Mickey stands on. Both switches make noises, such as... meeshka, mooshka, mickey mouse! I really like the Toodles cards. You can also make your own cards, putting any kind of mouska tools you want on them. For example: find the tool that is symmetrical, find the tool that best represents a cylinder, sphere, cube, etc. One that I did, was to put pictures of a penny, nickel, dime and quarter in the four sections, to help the kids learn about money, also I let my niece and nephew help to make NEW Toodles cards by using stickers as the mouska tools, this way they get to choose which tools that they want on their cards! My nephew has a speech impairment, and I have found that making cards that have pictures of the sounds that he is working on, is a new and fun way to help with his speech therapy. You can make this toy as educational as you want it to be. The kids love being able to switch out their mouska tools, which makes play time fun and interesting as they are now able to make up their own adventures, in their very own Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!

Shame on Disney for attaching their name to this Mickey Mouse Clubhouse play set.I agree with everything written in the previous review.I purchased this toy from Disneystore.com for Christmas 2011 for my daughter since Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is her favorite show.I had a coupon and still paid $47.60 (can't remember what the original price was).I have, until now, been thrilled with every purchase I've made from the Disney Store. This toy is not up to standards and I can tell that it will fall apart and be trash with in six months of play. Some parts like the Toodles cards and the elevator already don't work well after only a few days of play. This play set is NOT MATTEL.We have the Mickey Mouse Rocket play set by Mattel and it is great! This play set is by Famosa, a Spanish company.A quick list of some, not all, of the disappointing things about this toy:
-Overpriced and poorly made.
-Does not come ready to play with.
-Requires three batteries: 2 AA (easy enough since I always have these on hand) and 1 AG13 (WHAT?!)
-Will take you approximately 30 minutes to an hour to assemble.
-Then will start breaking immediately when your child starts to play with it.
The only thing good about this toy are the figurines with articulated shoulders and hips so they can sit and move their arms.Otherwise, Disney, I feel duped having purchased this toy and would like my money back.

Update: January 11, 2011
After 2-1/2 weeks of play, one of the ears keeps falling off. We've discovered that the lever that makes Toodles sounds only has one recording. Also, there are learning cards (which in the end aren't very educational) that rip when we put them in and pull them out of the learning card slot. This happens because the slot is not properly lined up with the plastic housing. My daughter ripped a few but so have my husband and myself. This toy should cost no more than about $20 in my opinion.
I did write my complaints in to the disneystore.com.Since my purchase was outside of the return window, they said they could not take the toy back (excuse me for getting my Christmas shopping done early!).They did offer me a $10 gift card.I guess they did not have to offer me anything but a mere $10 is really not enough to make me happy after spending close to $50 (with coupon) on this poorly made product.

It must really be bad if I have taken the time to write a review of this product. This is a piece of Junk. The fact that Disney would even allow their name to be used with it is amazing.A lot of the parts don't fit together and when the kids are playing with it, it consistantly falls apart.Stickers don't fit and it has very small parts that fall off making it unsafe for smaller children.Save your money and buy something else.Disney, I am ashamed of the products you have chosen to represent your company.
