Kid's Board Game - Count Your Chickens Cooperative Board Game (Ages 3-7, 2-4 Players)

Kid's Board Game - Count Your Chickens Cooperative Board GameMy 3 year old loves this game, and I do too!The concept was really easy for him to understand (help the mama chicken get her baby chicks back to the coop) and he caught on right away.I love how this game teaches counting and, unlike most board games, is based on cooperative play.My 3-year-old is going through a stage where he always wants to be the winner which means everyone else has to be the "losers"--but not with this game. This game teaches him that not everything is about competition and sometimes it's more important to just try to work together. The bright colors, cute graphics and environmentally friendly materials were an added bonus.Highly recommend this game as well as another one by Peaceable Kingdom, Hoot Owl Hoot. Both are great for the 3+ age range.

Can we give a rating of 10 stars! We absolutely love this game.We bought this game after seeing it at our favorite toy story in Maine and we played it as soon as we got home.My daughter loves playing this game.We love the counting, the colors, and LOVE the fact that there is a tractor in the game.(like her Papa's tractor!) I am a first grade teacher and the skills that this game is teaching, one to one counting correspondence, directionality, adding, and one less is taught in my room and its amazing to see that my 2 1/2 year old is beginning to learn. My daughter is now telling EVERYONE that her new favorite game ever is Count Your Chickens.

The customer service with the Peaceable Kingdom is amazing.I believe that I was missing a few chicks when we opened the box.I emailed the company right away and I got a response plus an extra surprise within a few hours. They told me that the extra chicks are on their way! The surprise was if we were to write a review for Amazon, we would get a game sent to the school of our choice! Thank you so much for your time Donna and I have already purchased Lost Puppies. We should be getting it tomorrow!

Your cooperative games are fun and amazing!Thank you again for the hours of fun.We are looking forward to more games!

SignedHappy 2 1/2 year old girl and a super happy Mama!

This game is so cute! I love the concept of the baby chicks being on the loose and the mama hen needs to collect them and put them safely back in the coop. My 7 year old nephew couldn't wait to get as many baby chicks back into the coop as he could. He completely got the concept and didn't feel like it was too young for him. Set up is really easy and the instructions are easy to understand.

We were looking to buy our child his first board game, and we are so glad we came across this cooperative game instead of the usual Candyland-type games. This game is simple yet fun for young children who are learning how to count. The board and pieces are colorful and sturdy, though keep in mind that the chicks are very small. This game is a great way to develop children's counting, fine-motor, and turn-taking skills. Although we usually "win" the game, the times when the fox "wins" are also a good opportunity to teach children to be graceful losers, and victory is far from guaranteed. Playing with the base number of chicks ensures that every game is exciting.

Customer service at Peaceable Kingdom is exceptional: our 2-year-old "lost" 7 of the chicks, which makes the game too easy. We e-mailed the company to ask if we could order replacements and they sent us some for free (plus some fantastic stickers). We are looking forward to buying and playing more Peaceable Kingdom games!

Really? Everyone loves this? Sorry it was just a little too sloppy for us, you lay the baby chicks randomly around the board and collect them as you go. The products are, as expected, excellent quality, concept is cute, not fond of the execution. It wasn't clear which chicks to collect since they were so scattered and then little hands moving across the board to move the game piece knocked them all over.I should state we have several peaceable kingdom games and love cooperative games, this was just irritating.I played with my 2+ and 5+ and none of us enjoyed.Guess we'll go back to Stone Soup.
