Kidkraft Capital City Train Table Set

I actually purchased this set from Sam's Club. My 3 year old son loves Thomas the Train. So this year we were doing a train themed Christmas. This table came about by accident, we had already gotten all his gifts and the table was something I wanted to buildthis summer until stumbling upon this one on Xmas eve. The price was $109 and it looked like it might be nice, based on the photo on the box. After My son went to bed I went about assembling for Christmas Morning. I was extremely impressed with how the set was packed and labeled. Packed to insure no damage would occur and all components numbered along with a great instruction sheet made this go together really easily. It took some time, but all went well.

The quality of the items is all really good and the overall sets detail is great.

This set comes with everything needed for a budding wooden train engineer. My son absolutely loves it and has not stopped playing with it. It's a great deal and I wish we had bought a kit like this when my son first got into Thomas, rather than buying pieces like we did.

We purchased this train table for our son on his 7th birthday. He absolutely loves the table. It was fairly easy to assemble. The price of the table is very reasonable. The only problem I had was with the shipping. I think it is a little high.

I bought this for my three year old sons birthday and he loves it!It didn't seem too difficult to put together, though I cant say since my husband did all the work.But I can tell you, it didnt take more than an hour to assemble. The most time consuming part was putting together the tracks, not the assembly of the table. I had been looking for a train table that wasnt too large and that would match my sons bedroom furniture. This fit the bill.The espresso is a really nice finish and gives it a very polished look. I like that all the edges are curved and I love that the table has all this storage on the sides.Plus there is planty of room underneath the table to stick some storage bins on either side.My only complaints are that I wish the bins underneath weren't primary colors I wish they were either espresoo or somethingmore neutral, but that isnt a big deal.Also, while the actual train set is wonderful, has everything you need, people, buildings, every form of transportation (plane, trains, boat, helicopter)...the trains that come with the set dont travel so well on the tracks.We just buy other trains from Target that are compatible and that give a smoother ride.Problem solved.I think that you get a lot for what you pay for with this.Plus, the table and pieces are really good quality.I think they will last a long time.My three year olds advice for improvement would be to add a "tunnel"( which it does have, by the way, its just very short.)Overall, I highly recommend this table.

Wonderfully made table with reversible top. We end up using the black top for other activities and games. the trains, track, cars, ppl, are just average in quality. Yes it works with other brand tracks but certain tracks connect slightly loose and the battery powered Thomas we have often times ran off track. Overall, very happy with product. Paid $100 but shipping was $60.. Lame.
