This is advertised as a beginner racket and as such does not have ITTF approved rubber and not as much sponge (1.5) as many tournament rackets. (Many entry level rackets have 1 mm sponge or less.) There is green rubber on one side, black on the other with an attractive handle. It is constructed well and plays well.It is a notch above other entry level rackets and you would have to spend another $15 to get something better or something that would provide a noticeable improvement in your game.A comparable product would be a Butterfly 201 Shakehand Table Tennis Racket.
