4 in 1 Wooden Game Set: Backgammon, Chess, Checkers, Chinese Checkers

I was a little leary of this product. . .well that feeling was justified. Cheaply made. The chinese checkers part is particle board, the backgamon is painted onto the bottom of the inside drawer which is a little awkard. The shakers for the dice are terrible with somehow not enough glue to hold the pleather on them yet somehow so much it is smeared all over, so I'm just throwing those away (they prevent the Chinese checkers insert from fitting in the drawer anyway!). The actual wooden case seems pretty good though, and the play peices are wood, which I like. Fortunatly I'm pretty crafty, so I think I can adapt some of the disadvantages into pluses, like painting a tic-tac-toe board onto the blank underside of the particle board CC insert & maybe painting another game under the drawer. I'm going to have to order some new marbles though, because the hollow plastic ones that came with this are just awful! I purchased this for me and my son, and it will be adaquate for play, however I would be embarased to give this to someone as a gift.
