Canwood Night Table (High)

As mentioned in a prior review, there is a problem with the assembly instructions. The holes in two parts of the drawer are differently sized and positioned (2 large and 1 small in place of 2 small and 1 large). The screws and dowels numbers match the instruction, so at the end you have 2 unused screws and lack 2 dowels. Note that they are easy to find in a hardware store.

A second problem is that some wooden parts of the night table (the 2 side panels) are made of particle board. Mine arrived slightly damaged, each in one corner.

Despite these problems, the assembled product looks very good, and reasonably sturdy.

Nice little table for next to daughter's bed at a fair price.Be warned that when you are putting it together the instructions for the drawer are incorrect. What is on the drawing does not match up with how the holes are drilled and the number of parts provided.It seems as though the manufacturer decided that it could reduce the number of cam locks required to assemble the drawer face. The drawer shows four cam locks being used, but there are only two holes drilled for them.It is sturdy enough with just the two but it would have been nice if they updated the instructions so I didn't have recheck a thousand times to make sure what I believed I was seeing wasn't wrong.

We purchased the coordinating bed for my two year old and we are happy enough with it, so I would like to keep the night stand but I am unhappy with it. Firstly, it has been nearly three weeks since we built it and it still has an incredibly strong odor that gives us a sore throat and head ache. We had to air it out in another room for two weeks, but it still smells very strongly. Two parts were missing so we only finished building the drawer this week when the parts arrived (customer service was very helpful with this when I called) but the table is wobbly and the drawer is cut unevenly so there is a gap on one side of it. I would definitely not recommend this night stand to anyone, mainly due to the odor because the wobbly problem can be fixed. In the end, too many issues to make this piece worth buying.

Great for storage of those little things you don't want to lose like remotes and other things.We can't put it next to the bed b/c it has drawers but otherwise great furniture.Very sturdy.
