Fisher-Price 2-in-1 Singing Band Walker

Fisher-Price 2-in-1 Singing Band WalkerMy daughter got this when she could sit up on her own.She will be turning one soon and she loves this toy.She started by sitting in front of it playing with the piano and the little book. And when she heard the music she would dance and dance and dance...It has not become annoying like most musical toys because she is so fun to watch playing with it.Then before I knew it she was walking across the livingroom with this toy.She just motored right around.I laugh because they walk like little grandma's with walkers at first.(No offense to little grandma's.I have one that is 93 and she is the greatest.)I would totally recommend this toy to someone.Just remember never let them play near stairs with it.I know it should be a no brainer but I'm an ER nurse and trust me... I have seen it all.

This toy is great for sitting and playing.. The Pulling up and standing feature is not so great. It tips over at the slightest pull. My little girl recently just started picking it up and shoving it around since she can't pull herself up on it without having it fall on top of her. It also has speedy little wheels on it that moves faster than the baby.. one wiggle and the toy is gone leaving my baby to fall flat on her face. If you want sit-down entrainment, it's great. If you are looking for a real "pull-up" sit to stand walker. This is not the best option.

My son is 13 months and not yet walking independently.I thought this would be perfect so he could push this around and get anywhere he wants to go.It moves a little to fast for him so he isn't using it as a walker yet.I think it will function better in that capacity after he is independently walking.I was hoping for something to help him walk now and get some confidence. But, he does enjoy pushing the buttons and playing with it for now.

I recently bought the Fisher Price Singing Band Walker.I wanted to encourage my daughter to walk.I thought if she was walking with a toy as opposed to holding my fingers and walking, she would feel more confident in walking and would want to practice it more.Right now she walks holding my fingers for awhile, and then she gets distracted and wants to crawl to whatever it is she sees.My daughter loves it.As she was walking for the first time she was dancing too with the music which hasn't gotten annoying yet.

Unfortunately I can't give it five stars, mostly because it is a toy that she could only use actively supervised. That means that I have to hold onto it so that while she's walking so it doesn't roll too fast. This was really disappointing because I wanted her to feel independent. There is no control over how fast it goes.So my daughter who has only just started cruising leans too heavily on the walking and it goes rushing, which can potentially make her trip.It is a hazard and like I said before needs active supervision.

The 2-in-1 part of the title implies that babies can use this even before they are ready to walk. There is a sitting mode, in which babies can push and toggle various buttons to make music. But there is no lock for the wheels which means if your baby leans heavily on the toy which I imagine they would when they are learning to stand the toy will roll away, making the poor baby fall and hurt herself. It needs active supervision in both it's modes. There is no way that you could leave your baby alone with the toy or even have her play with it while your doing something while watching her.You have to hold the toy for your baby.

I'm giving it two stars even though my baby loves it.The toy is pretty and fun.The music is not annoying. My daughter loves flipping the page of the "book".But it is a toy that needs way too much supervision.Don't get me wrong I don't think anyone should leave a child alone with a walker they should always be supervised while playing with a walker but I don't think I should have to hold onto it to make sure my daughter doesn't fall over.I should be able to walk beside her while she walks, not lean over hurting my back holding on to the toy.

This was a wonderful toy once my daughter could sit until she started trying to walk.It entertained her for longer than any other toy we had.Once she started to pull herself up though it would topple at the drop of a hat and a few bumps and bruises ensued. As long as I put my daughter standing behind the handle she can use it as a walker. She just can't use it to pull herself up on since it is too lightweight.
