Step2 Naturally Playful 60" Leaf Umbrella

This umbrella is great. We're using with the Step2 picnic table and it covers the entire table and then some. The only product feature we're not crazy about is that you can't close the umbrella completely when it's in the table. Because of the design, it only closes about halfway. Also, not crazy about the leaf design, but that's just personal preference! We're recommend it to others for sure!

Originally planned on getting a Little Tikes market umbrella but during my research I found out that this one is WAY bigger than any of the other kids umbrellas out there. That won me over right away since we live in Arizona where we get so much sun we don't participate in Daylight Savings Time. It's 60" in diameter so it should provide plenty of sun protection for many children at the table/sandbox and is super cute! At first I wasn't sure about the leaf design because I wanted a miniature market umbrella to match our large adult market umbrella, but its neutral colors and leaf motif actually complement the backyard setting unlike many bright kids outdoor toys. If you want an extra large shady area for your child this is the umbrella for you!

I must add that I bought mine from the Step2 website and received it in 4 days. That's quick for standard shipping! I plan on bringing it in on windy/stormy days but those are few and far between until monsoon season arrives. We'll see how the thin fabric holds up in the sun though!

After ordering this product, I found a much cuter one at Lowe's that also came with a stand. But of course the one from Lowe's didn't fit through the hole made in the Step2 table. The Step2 umbrella is the only one that fits. I also like it's large circumferense, so the kids stay in the shade all day!

We lost our previous umbrella from a high wind storm and needed a replacement. It is a great replacement for any sand or water play box. We live in Las Vegas and the item shows no signs of sun damage but you do need to make sure that the umbrella is closed or removed if you expect winds over 30 mph as it is not meant to withstand such levels.

I am on my third Step 2 umbrella, as the last two have only lasted one season each.We even live in CA, with limited rain or extreme weather, but this umbrella does not seem to last.It's frustrating, because I am careful to fold it down when there is wind, and I have been conscientious with it.The only reason I'm ordering another is that my kids need shade and it's the only umbrella that will fit the table.I'm not sure I would have bought the Naturally Playful set if I would have known I was going to spend an extra $50 on umbrellas.
