Schleich Animal Nursery

I will start out by saying that after reading the negative review of the user above me, i was very hesitant to purchase this playset for my child. The last thing you want is to waste money on a toy that does not serve its purpose in this economy. Let me tell you that i was shocked to see how realistic and great this animal nursery is. Contrary to everything that the negative review will tell you, it is really easy to put together, as instructions are provided, it will not come apart, and the only reason why the roof is easy to take off, is so you can have a clear view of the interior.

I have never seen a safari toy this realistic, it is really a pleasure to look at, and i have it set up in my angel's room along with some of the animals and trees as a permanent decoration.

One thing, this is not a cheap quality toy, but more of a extremely realistic scale building, and very large, it is produced in association with the Berlin Zoological Gardens and trust me, if your child loves nature, animals, and you have at least a half working brain to put it together, it is the best safari theme toy you could ever purchase.

First off, ignore the guy two spots below, This model, and it really is a model in scale, is easy to put together.

Now, granted, the instructions are picture only, so you have to have a bit of intelligence and spatial awareness, but I put mine together in under half an hour.

First the good, the set comes disassembled, each piece is wrapped separately in tissue paper and the parts that are sealed in plastic have one end open, so no blades or tearing needed.Each part is very durable and I had no warping.

Now the great, after assembly, this toy is fantastic, doors open, windows open, fold down tables from the window covers, corals all open.The back porch is not permanantly attached, but it wasn't a big problem.

And by the way, you can see the animals in the coral, I think you may need to check your assembly, but the roof has three tiers, if you did not put on the bottom one the roof is very unstable.I left that part out the first time, lol, I guess I need to brush up on my picture instruction following, :)

My daughter fell in love with this set when she saw it in a catalog Christmas 2007. It was really the only thing she wanted so we bought it for her. She was almost 5 at the time.

Her and her sister who is 3 yrs younger than her literally play with this EVERY day!! They love the nursery, the animals, and the truck.

I can honestly say that it's the best money we've ever spent on a toy. Almost 2 yrs later, it's still their favorite toys.

It's well made and easy to put together. The girls love that they can take the roof off to access the inside.
