This was kind of a splurge for us to buy.I saw it at TJ Maxx for about $7 more than I paid on Amazon.My 5 year old foster daughter loves this toy, even though she cant read and really doesnt get how to play it.My 2 and 4 year old are also entertained by it and play it for the music and pictures.If you are buying it for educational value, I would say that the suitable age range starts at about 4.There is a stylus that you use to play it and it is stored in a wonderful compartment on the side so it isnt going to be easily lost.This toy is fun and for an electronic game, I think it is durable enough to be portable and entertaining for quite a while for a little girl since there are so many games on it.

My daughter got this for a christmas gift and it worked for about 1 day than it stopped. Tried new batteries over and over. Called the company and they sent us a new one. Same thing this time it didn't work at all. The third one came and I called and complained just asking if I could find something else since I have 3 sitting on my counter. They said no because it was over the 30 days. This is a cheap product that does not work at all. I don't complain much if at all but they were rude and I will not ever buy from them again. :(
