My kids loved this seat a lot, they would fight for it, they loved to eat in it, write, just sit and watch TV. assembly was ok not so hard, looks small but kids manage to get in and out within 2 days, the bad things are: did not seem steady within 2 weeks, my 18 month old stood on it and ofcourse fell, not so practical for toddlers since they don't like to sit still anywhere anyway.I don't recommend it for under 2y/o for the above reason. it fit one child only (just by the way).

I got this for my 4-year old.It's a good place for her when we eat in the living room and acts as a drawing space.We keep her crayons and paper in the drawer, but it would be nice to have a back where the drawer slides so it can't slide all the way through.The instructions seemed as though they must be generic to many different chairs, because the shapes of the pieces were different, but there aren't that many pieces so the picture on the box was enough help to get it together.With the desk it looks a little difficult to slide into, but that's from an adult perspective, she doesn't seem to mind.And I agree that it's big enough to use for probably another few years.Want Disney Cars Chair Desk with Pull out under the Seat Storage Bin Discount?

The shipment arrived on time and the gift wrapping was quite nice. Unfortunately, the machine does not seem to work very well. I am usually very satisfied with the products I buy from Amazon, but this time, I am a little disappointed. This was a gift for one of my grandsons who does not live in the same town as I do and it would be quite complicated to send the machine back. Tough luck...

Hover Soccer Air Hockey Game
This product is also sold branded under the name "Totes Air Hover Soccer" and I found at least one other company rebranding the same product. The air-puck contains a small propeller which keeps it off the table just enough to make it slide around pretty easily. After a single fall from the table though, it was irreparably broken. My kids got about 5 minutes out of it. Unless your kitchen table has bumpers, I don't recommend you waste your money.

This product is beautifully crafted and is worth the expense. It has clean cuts and detail. I would reccomend this to every Thomas fan alike. But hurry, the old style won't last long. If you don't like CGI, order quickly!
Melissa & Doug Classic Wooden Abacus
I bought the abacus for my seven year old boy-girl twins to help them with their adding and subtracting.This particular abacus has two faults:
1. the ten beads in each row are identical in color. The abacus I remember using as a kid had the five beads on the left side of one row one color and the five beads on the right of the same row a different color. This makes a world of difference when sliding over various amounts. For example, lets say you want to slide across seventeen beads in total. If each row had five beads on the left in one color and the other five beads in the same row a different color, then you would easily slide across a complete row of ten in the first row, an easily identifiable 5 beads in the second row (same color), and then an additional two more beads in the second row to make seventeen. With the Melissa and Doug Abacus, you would have to slide across a full row of ten beads in the top row, and then count up seven beads (all the same color)in the second row and slide them over.
2. The abacus is narrow. If you slide ten beads over to the opposite side, they don't all go past the last bead in the next row. This abacus would be so much better if it was about 5 inches wider.

My 1st grader was having trouble learning how to add/subtract. Bought this abacus to help him understand simple math and he loves it! In just a couple of days he got the hang of it and is now doing math on his own! I would recommend this tool to anyone, it's easy to use and helps kids understand addition and subtraction much faster than any other method I've tried in the past.

I chose to review the hallowed fountain simply because it has my two favorite colors in it, blue and white. so if you own a non mono magic the gathering deck and have not already filled it with a play set of shocks then through out those stinky guild gates and get some shock lands. they allow up to two different dual lands to enter untaped and can also enter untaped for a smallamount of two life.

The only negative I experienced is that one of the two lights in one of the passengar cars does not work. Regardless, this is very fun to play with, is large enough that everyone can see it and is impressed with it under the tree, and is very easy to set up and operate. I have already ordered more track.

This train assembles and runs easily enough and looks impressive under the tree.If you have kids or, like us, grandkids who are "Santa Aged," it is a marvelous attraction.My husband is the one who actually picked it out and does most of the putting together and such.He's one of those guys that has expensive brass HO locomotives and such.He says it is a very nice "toy train," so if you're expecting a scale model or modern scale model performance; this isn't it.The light and smoke are voltage dependent, so the train has to run much too fast to get more than a weak glow from the light or any smoke at all.Using the supplied track in an oval under the tree has the train running about 100 scale miles an hour to get decent light and good smoke.That said, it isn't a train for "model railroaders," it's a train for parents and grandparents to put under the Christmas Tree, and for that, it's great.Overall, this train worked right out of the box. Everything went together perfectly fine without a hitch. Forward and reverse worked fine...but I did have problems with the sound. No biggie for me as it was less noise :)Steam was so-so but like I really had time with a house full of relatives to put 3 or 4 drops in every 10 minutes or so... :)
BUT! The track. Holy Toledo! I've seen tin foil over mobile home windows that worked better. Let's do some math. Train around Christmas tree + a couple of young kids = the track is gonna get stepped on. And once it's stepped on it's bent, warped, dis-con-boob-u-lated. The rails popped out of the plastic ties faster than an outlaw can unload a six-shooter. I'd say the track is good for one-time usage...or one 'steppage'which ever comes first.
So, while the train itself was pretty cool the track really cheapened the set. Of course, next year, I'll get to buy some new track that will hold up to holiday gatherings and you guessed it kids.
One thing to note the curves are pretty tight so you have to make certain you leave 3-4 inches of clearance on both sides of the track. And, of course, no low hanging branches.

The Bachmann company has stepped up and is producing a very good G-Scale train product, especially for the money.This train is solidly built, runs well, and looks great.Most people will purchase this to run under their Christmas tree, and it is perfect for that.The reason I do no give it 5 stars is the Bachman nickel track that comes with their starter sets is pretty flismy, as is the track power connector.It will not work well on carpet, even hard carpet, it needs a solid base.I spent the money to purchase LGB brass track and the train runs fantastic on that.That track can be run on carpet or a tree skirt with no problem.Also Bachmann does a great job lighting the passenger cars, but it requires a 9v battery to run them.These cars drain the battery after a couple of hours of running.There are devices (spring loaded track pickups or ball bearing axles) that allow the cars to get power from the track and do away with the batteries.
FYI Bachmann and other companies also make brass track and I assume that would work as well.
Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure Paint Your Own Statue
My wife purchased two different sets (a Rapunzel/Tiana Set and a Tinkerbell/Silvermist Set) for my two daughters (ages 3 and 6) and their friends for a birthday sleepover art project.Overall, the girls had fun painting them, but from a parent's perspective, they could be much better.The statues look nice and the paint went on pretty well, but the end result can be pretty messy.The girls had fun doing the painting, but I don't see them as a long term keepsake.
The primary frustration is that all of these sets are mass produced, as expected, and there is little thought put into the paint colors that are needed to match each character.All of the sets come with the same set of 6 paint colors (red, yellow, blue, green, white & black) in a small strip of tiny canisters that are all attached together.They also come with instructions how how to mix these standard colors to get colors that are needed for the included characters.The problem is that the complex instructions can require 3 or more colors in varying amounts.For example, to get the Purple color you needed for Rapunzel's dress, you had to mix all the red paint, all the blue paint, and one third of another color.This is pretty complex for a kid to do perfectly (even with adult help).Maybe you get the right color, but once you make the purple, you no have no red or blue paint left to use on any other parts of the statue.And if a kid doesn't mix it perfectly, now all you have is a mess with no extra.In addition, Tiana's dress was so large, that there wasn't enough green paint to cover it, so we had to use the green from one of the other sets.If we didn't have another set, we'd be out of luck.Getting skin tones for the Princesses and the Fairies was even more complicated to mix.
Long story short, if you're just looking for something for your kids to do and don't really care about making the statues look like the cartoons, this is probably fine.If your child is a perfectionist and wants to make the faces and colors match their favorite characters, you could be in for some trouble.In my opinion, it would have been nice if the manufacturer customized the paint colors for the characters in the box.I'm sure they did it this way to save money, but what you end up with is a mediocre throw-away product.

Otherwise, it comes down to this: These are good little statuettes, but if you want the final painted appearance to be anything like the way they look on TV (or on the box, for that matter), you'll want to buy a set of good non-glossy paints and at least one good, fine-tipped brush. Since you can get these quite inexpensively (can I say I got mine at Hobby Lobby?), I think this product is still a good buy. Just one figurine this size that comes pre-painted can cost much more than this set. You may not be able to make these look that good, but the fun of painting and the knowledge that you did it yourself can make this worth more in sentimental value. I'm assuming you enjoy painting and have some patience and talent (or whomever you plan to give it to has those qualities). There are some slight differences between the poses pictured on the box (and helpful painting guide inside) and the way the statuettes actually look (of course the artificial stone wings can't be paper-thin and transparent), but I'm only a dabbler in art and I am very happy with how mine turned out.
Some details: The reason you should buy another set of paints is that the paint provided dries with a glossy finish. This is fine for the wings, Silvermist's glossy black hair, and maybe Silvermist's shoes and even her dress, but it doesn't look so good for their skin, or Tinkerbell's hair and dress. It might serve for a young child who's more interested in doing the painting than having the end result look really good. Likewise, if you want to get the eyes and other facial features looking good, you'll want a finer brush than either of those supplied. Getting the facial details right takes more skill and patience than most young children can muster anyway. So that's your call, now that you've been informed. I could also note that the paint in the first set I got was almost all dried up beyond use, but I got that some time after Christmas so it may have been sitting around for a long time after leaving China. Another advantage of getting a set of paints is that you could find one with a good skin tone or two already mixed, along with other natural colors.
Finally, I'd like to say these comments probably apply to other Disney statue-painting kits, although the glossy paint would work fine on Cars, which also wouldn't need to have fine details painted. If they would make a kit with other Disney fairies (perhaps Iridessa and Fawn), or two of my favorite princesses (Belle and Ariel? Jasmine and Mira Nova?), I would certainly buy that kit, too.

Barbie Dinner To Dessert Dining Room Set
I picked this dinner table and chairs up for my daughter's dollhouse since she didn't have one or much furniture for her house to be exact.It was on sale here and for a table and two chairs I thought it wasn't bad as she needed some more furniture and less dolls in that huge dollhouse of hers!What I love about it is its really easy for her to put the chairs together when they come apart, and that the table flips around, the underside changing to topside, dinner to dessert, such a cool and fun concept for the kids!She loves twisting the centerpiece and making that happen as well!What I dislike is that the chairs are flimsy and come apart constantly, but again, she can easily reassemble them herself and I guess they can store easier this way, a positive way to look at it!I love the roses and vase that came with it, so pretty!And all the little silverware is nice, the napkins were a very nice touch as well.Very pretty little set, very cute, nice and pink which my daughter loves, my biggest complaint was that it is just kind of flimsy (chairs).But definitly worth it and not cheaply made and not cheap at all, the chairs pop right back together and it isn't as cheap as some like the knock off furniture, it is definitly worth getting.
I bought this for the Barbie house and the kids don't really play with it because everytime a barbie comes 'to the table' the sides of the table collapse and everything falls on the floor. Also it is cute that you can turn the centerpiece and either plates or frosted cupcakes come up, but there is no room on the the table for them to play dinner. Thy have to set the sides which cause the table to collapse and the sides fall off. The plastic chairs are way too lightweight for a barbie that weight more than a few ounces. Now I know why the other furniture came with a Barbie that didn't weight anything... it was like a first class mail envelope.
It's really cute, but they make believe with the living room furniture and the bedroom furniture more than the dining room table.

I ordered this item for our Grandaughter who is nine years old. She loves to play with her Barbies and wanted furniture. After checking out stores, etc. I found that ordering it online through Amazon was the way to go. She loves it and now wants more furniture to play with.
Guidecraft Jr. Roll Top Desk - Natural
We bought this for our five-year old, who wanted a place to do "paperwork" and had outgrown his lap desk for projects. The design on this is very nice, very classy, and it ended up being a relatively solid piece of furniture. The rolltop really rolls, and the drawers have stoppersand open and close easily. It shows signs of not being overly durable in the long haul, but for a two-kid span it should be fine.Some caveats, though. First, it's not oak it's some tropical wood that's much softer and lighter than a hardwood traditionally used for furniture, lighter even than pine. (Made in China.) This cut down on the weight and made it easier to assemble and move around, so that may be a plus for some, but don't expect all that goes with traditional furniture wood (e.g. durability).
Second, and this is a big one, this had maybe the worst set of assembly instructions, ever. My wife and I are veterans of probably hundreds of flat-ship assemble-yourself pieces of furniture over the years (counting helping friends, etc.) and this was a real nadir as far as assembly. It's one of those "only four steps" instructions, where all the steps are heaped together. There's no explanation, just a diagram. It's unclear what order to do things in. It's very very unclear exactly what parts go where in some circumstances, because the diagrams were tiny. It was extremely difficult to read the parts labels in the diagram, and the parts list was incomplete (although as it turned out we had everything). We ended up out and out guessing where to put one part that had no guide holes for its screws, and also had to undo one step (one of the backing plates) as a result of having guessed wrong.
We're still giving this a high mark because it's a very tidy and nice-looking final product that fits our son's needs well, but if you're overly sensitive to possibly crazy-making assemblies, beware.

We actually never were able to entirely build the desk.Although shipped what seemed securely there were several parts damaged including the desk top being split down the middle.The replacement parts ordered directly through the manufacturer did not line up with the desk proprely.The desk top didn't fit properly on the desk top itself.Don't waste your time or money!I have a very disappointed kid that has no desk and a walletwaiting for my refund.
