Chess Board - Standard Vinyl Roll-up in Green

Chess Board - Standard Vinyl Roll-up in Greenvinyl board has extra large squares to put average to large pieces on. Its ligthweight

And mobile characteristics make playing chess that much less cumbersome and makes

It easy to take with you wherever you go.

I needed a larger chess board. The one my chess set came with was made of wood, but it was too small for my needs. This chess board is the right size and can be put away when not in use.

The one I ordered shipped to me from china, and was good quality. Printed square on the board, marked as expected, and seems durable. Had to let it sit out overnight on the porch so the strong vinyl odor would dissipate but seems to be fine after 24 hours. I've needed a good new board for my portable tournament set since my dog chewed up the last one. May order a second as a spare.

This board is a very cheap, and durable roll up chess board. Really worth the money if you are looking for an extra board. Good deal!

When I was in High School Chess Club, these were the boards we used in our meetings and tournaments.I've always wantedone to use at home. This is exactly what I wanted. It's vinyl, rolls up nicely, and is easy to clean with a wet cloth or paper towel if there is an accidental spill.

1/32 Motorized Rotating Display

1/32 Motorized Rotating DisplayThis is a very simple little device, not much more than a base, switch, motor, and display top. There are no settings it spins clockwise at one speed, and that's that. For the price, that's all I'd really expect it does its job, and it's sturdy and quiet.

The photo and description made me think the display top was rectangular and larger. The dimensions above, "7.8 x 6.6 x 2.8 inches", are inaccurate (I think that's the measurement of the BOX it comes in).The actual turntable is square (with a slight outward bow on each side), and is 5.5" across at the widest point (the diagonal measurement is 6.5").The whole assembly stands exactly 2" tall.

As another review mentioned, the speed of this device is probably its biggest downfall.A typical turntable runs between 2 and 4 RPM, a nice gentle turn. This one clocks in at a whopping 16 RPM that's less than 4 seconds per complete rotation. It's good for an attention-getting display, but if you're trying to show off detailed artwork from every angle, it's going to be awkward for that.If you're comfortable with electronics, it shouldn't be too hard to modify to run slower, but out of the box, it's just too darned fast.

I bought this to display a model for a show, but the thing rotates a lot more rapidly than I expected. Since I had put LED lights in the model it looks like a party light spinning, with no time to really take in the details of the piece.

Not bad for the price, just need to figure out a way to slow it down if I want to use it.

I needed this for displaying my artwork in a gallery space. They worked well and the batteries lasted for the entire month long show (they were shut off at night and when gallery was closed).Others I looked at were as much as $40.I needed to have 8, so I was much happier with this price point.

I bought this item in the high hopes to display my car in it's full and complete glory, to impress my friends and maybe find one of the female persuasion. All my hopes were dashed when I parked my littlered car on top of it... the entire thing was utterly crushed beyond recognition!I mean totally destroyed!CRUNCH!I broke it!I'm not much of a mechanic, or artiest. So I naturally assumed it was my fault. So I ordered another to try again before my big party. And blammo! My wee pride and joy totally pulverized the thing.CRUNCH!Good thing no one showed up to my party or I would have completely embarrassed.I'm sure I had read the instructions properly. My third one is currently sitting here in it's box.My car is idling outside.I fear I may fail again. As I do.At everything.Sigh.

Stiga Performance 2-Player Set

Stiga Performance 2-Player SetBought these to replace some 30 year old Harvard paddles. The old ones (stamped Made in USA by the way) were still solid as a rock but the rubber was getting pretty dry and crusty. The Stiga's had knotholes and dimples in the surfaces from day one. Within weeks, the handle fell off one of them and the blade warped and delaminated on the other. Its occasionally OK to buy cheap stuff. But not this time. Dont waste your money...

These paddles are of mediocre, low quality. Rubber surface have fairly noticeable dents on it. I wouldn't recommend them.

Would return them if i didn't have to wait for another 10 days of free shipping.

Ordered this set for a little friendly competition on the ping pong table at work. These paddles seem well made and I have no problem spinning the ball.I have not had any of the problems experienced by the other buyers of the 2 and 4 piece Stiga sets.If you are an ultra competitive player this might not be the set for you but I recommend them.

Plastic Table Skirts - 16 Colors

Plastic Table Skirts - 16 Colors Select Color: Pale PinkI tried everything but was not able to get the wrinkles out of these. Not to mention the black plastic just looks like a garbage bag.Next time, I will just find a nice fabric table skirt.

These might be fine for a child's party, but I needed something that was a bit higher quality.

I wasn't sure what these were going to be like, as I had never used these before. They ended up being the perfect solution for our daughter's wedding.Really spruced up the buffet, bridal party table and the dessert table. They were easy to use, and we just tossed them afterwards.I guess if we wouldn't have had so much going on, I might have tried to save them for another occasion. We even used them with cloth tablecloths!

These are excellent skirts; I would recommend them for any party or event. They are just the rightlength, and being that they're self-adhensive, it made it extremely easy to put around the tables.

I would definately purchase them again.

It bought this to line my table for a party. The adhesive tape allowed it to stick to my table nicely however when I removed it, the tape also took some of the varnish off my table.

We used these for travelling roadshows to add some color to tables. My biggest fear was that the skirts would be very wrinkled, but they weren't at all. We also re-used them quite a bit, as we did 5 different locations in 5 days. Learning: we didn't use the attached tape provided, but used masking tape so that we could reuse. Be sure to add the masking tape to the tape strip; else removing the masking tape will tear holes in the plastic.

Navia Dratp Collectible Miniatures Game CMG Unleashed Darkness Booster Pack

Navia Dratp Collectible Miniatures Game CMG Unleashed Darkness Booster PackNavia Dratp may be a weird name, but the game play is supposed to be top-notch.

Navia Dratp

So I cracked open the red and blue sets. Each set came with a game board, a set of 7 black Gulled and 2 red Gulled, and 60 Gyullas worth of crystals.

The terminology apparently comes from Anime (or is anime themed), but here's the skinny on what that stuff actually is:

1) Gulled are pawns. They come in two flavors: black and red. The black pawns can only move and capture by going strait forward one square. They sit in your second rank. The red pawns sit in your first rank, and can move forward strait or diagonally one square. When you move these guys, you get a single Gyullas crystal for the black, or 3 for the red. This is your primary method of getting Gyullas crystals moving your pawns.

2) Gyullas crystals are money/power/mana. Think of it as you will, these things let you juice up your other pieces the Maseitai.

3) Maseitai are your primary pieces. They've all got different names and models and powers. They're all different. The two players have teams composed of completely different Maseitai. Of course, only the Gulled are in play in the beginning. Your Maseitai are held in reserve in your "Maseitai Keep" (essentially just off board). If you pay enough Gyullas crystals, after you move a Maseitai you can "dratp" (pronounced "drap") it.

4) Dratping your Maseitai lets you change the way the piece moves, for some pieces. On other pieces, you active a special power, or give it a special ability. For example, one piece changes from just being able to move like a king to being able to move like a queen. Another piece is able to move one space diagonally in any direction by default, but when you dratp him he's able to add 2 spaces out orthogonally to that so it's like a diamond, but without the orthogonal squares one space away. In addition, this same guy (after dratping) gives you 10 Gyullas crystals if he gets killed.

So let's see how this plays out in an actual game. Last night, in the second game I played against my opponent (Will), I took the opportunity to bring this piece out (as it was one of the 7 I had cooling their heels in my Maseitai keep). My opponent brought out his Gyullas Turtle before too long, which (after dratping) moves like a red Gulled (one space forward in any direction), but gives you 6 Gyullas crystals. I knew that if I let this dude make a steady progression he'd be racking up the crystals (which could be deadly for me), so I busted out with my Troll (the one that can move in a diamond after dratping). I thought the Troll would be nice, because he only costs 4 Gyullas crystals to activate/dratp, but is given a quite nice flexibility with his movement thereafter. So I moved forward to stymie the progress of the Gyullas turtle on the right hand side of the board, partnering with the red Gulled on that side.

The red Gulled is pretty cool, because he's like a shield. The normal black Gulled aren't flexible at all in their movement (they can only move and capture strait ahead one square), but you get two uber-Gulled colored red, one on the left side, and one on the right. Paired with my Troll, I was in a position to at least slow the advance of the Gyullas Turtle.

Why was it important that I do that? Well, there are three real "victory conditions" to the game. The first is like Chess kill your opponents King (in this case, the Navia).

A Navia is like a king in Chess. Only she's a cute little anime girl. She moves just like a King (one space in any direction), and when she gets killed, you lose the game. Her dratp cost is 60 (all of your Gyullas crystals), but if you dratp her you win the game. That's the second win condition, and that's why I didn't want the Gyullas turtle to have unimpeded progress on the board. Paired with Gulled to protect him, my opponent might soon be at 60 Gyullas for the win.

The third win condition is called a "Navia Goal". This is when you're able to move your Navia the entire length of the game board. The game board is 7×7, and if you can make it to the other side of the board with her, you win.

So I figured I had to stop this Gyullas Turtle. I moved up with my red Gulled and my Troll, and (just like in Chess) used the interplay between the two pieces as protection. My opponent decided to bring his Navia up to protect the Gyullas Turtle. This was a weak move on his part, because you need to protect your Navia, and can't sacrifice her like you could a Maseitai battle piece. I was able to twist this to my advantage, keeping my Troll diagonally in front of my red Gulled, so that they protected each other. The troll ended up forking(when two pieces are attacked at the same time by the same piece) his Navia, his Gyullas Turtle, and his Red Gyullas (which had gotten behind the Troll). Since his Navia was endangered, and my red Gyullas was protecting my Troll, he had to either kill the Troll with the Gyullas Turtle (there by giving me 10 Gyullas, since when the Troll dies I get 10 Gyullas if the Troll has been dratped) or retreat his Navia. He chose to retreat his Navia, and so instead of taking the Gyullas Turtle, I took his red Gulled. I didn't like the fact that this guy had gotten behind me, and I would still be attacking the Gyullas Turtle with my Troll (since not only could I move diagonally in any direction one space, but I could jump 2 spaces out in any orthogonal direction as well). The Gyullas Turtle can't move backwards (only forwards, like a Gulled or a pawn in Chess), so he decided to suicide him by moving forward and claiming 6 more Gyullas crystals. I took him with my red Gulled.

Now taking pieces has two effects. Firstly, the piece is removed from the board and placed in your opponents Graveyard. That's where he keeps all of his dudes that have gotten killed, and sometimes you can pull guys out of there and bring them back to the keep or directly back to the board. Secondly, you get a number of Gyullas crystals equal to the dratp cost of the piece if you kill it. So, for example, since his Gyullas Turtle costs 5 to dratp, I took 5 crystals as my reward for knocking him out. In addition, since I moved my red Gulled to do it, I took 3 more (since you get 3 crystals when you move those guys forward).

Now I had this red Gulled pretty far up on the board, so I tried to pull a line over.

A Gulled Line Over is when you're able to move one of your Gulled to your opponents first rank (the farthest you can move on the board). It's kind of like pawn promotion in Chess, only you have a choice you can choose 10 Gyullas crystals as a reward, or take one of the guys that's been killed and put him into one of your open "summon squares".

On the board, there are Summon Squares for each player. Aside from the center square in your first rank (where the Navia goes), the rest of the squares on your first rank are available to bring your Maseitai battle pieces into the game. In addition to that first rank, the outermost spaces in the second rank are also summoning squares.

On each turn, you can either move a piece, move and dratp a piece, dratp a piece and not move, or summon a Maseitai battle piece from your Maseitai Keep onto a summon square (bringing him into play). You can't move one piece and dratp another (like say move a Gulled and dratp your Troll).

So I decide I'm going to go for the Gulled Line Over with my red Gulled, and I gleefully sacrifice my Troll to do so. By allowing my troll to be taken, my Gulled (which is no longer protected by the Troll) is able to take the piece that took him, move out of reach of the Navia (just moving forward wasn't going to cut it on that one), and get to my opponents second rank. I claimed 3 crystals for moving my red Gulled, and whatever I should have for killing his other Maseitai (the one protecting his Gyullas Turtle).

I'm starting to notice that I've racked up some serious crystal action. Moving this Gulled across the board, killing his guys, and getting my own Troll killed have set me up pretty nicely. Quite nicely indeed. I smell a Navia Dratp coming (60 crystals needed for the win). I decide to take 10 crystals instead of restoring my Troll when I do the Gulled Line Over, giving me 10 crystals (when you line over, you don't get your crystals for moving the Gulled). I see now that I was playing the Line Overs wrong. It's not when you get to your opponents first rank, it's when you move past it (into their Maseitai Keep area). No matter live and learn.

At this point, I was only maybe 10ish crystals short of victory, and so I started advancing my left red Gulled. My opponent busted out with one of his big dog pieces (after dratping, this guy gets to move like an inverted chess Knight jumping 1 or 2 squares in any direction, except the spaces a Knight would be able to move). Alas, that was not enough to save him, or even delay my inexorable advance. After a couple moves, I claimed my remaining crystals and was able to perform a Navia Dratp FTW!

Closing Thoughts

Navia Dratp is like Chess. Only better. In Chess, the game is static. People (and machines) memorize opening moves, and know how to reply to them. As players become more intimate with the game, they learn long strings of these advances and replies. This has no place in the world of Navia Dratp. You bring your pieces in where and when you want to bring them in. You can dratp them to change how they move, and effect change on the board.

The production quality of the pieces is outstanding. The models are just great very detailed. They're not painted, and look like they have a black wash effect on gray out of the blister. But I think they will look awesome once painted. Wishborn sure did!

The crystals are a nice touch. They're made out of a rubbery feeling plastic, and are translucent. I was thinking "I need to get some real gems, or at least glass crystals for this game" so we'll see. It's a nice touch, and they seem pretty durable. There are 10 smaller white/clear crystals worth 1 point, 6 larger blue crystals worth 5, and a single 20 point crystal for each team.

The Gulled look like little tombstones, and have a 7 sided star on them. They're actually kind of evil looking, and reminiscent of pentacles. I wouldn't mind finding some replacements for them in the future.

The board is the only area of the game that sucks. It's design is great, and it's got a good look to it, but the quality of the cardboard is poor. The board I played on (the red one) was a little warped. I'll have to find a way to flatten it out.

The gameplay is quite fun, and Gulled played a larger part than I expected. The black ones are wimpy but useful nonetheless, and the red ones are pretty powerful (especially coupled with the fact that they give you 3 Gyullas crystals each move). It's definitely a tactical abstract, but the pieces give it a nice flavor. I'm not a big fan of anime, but who doesn't love cute little anime girls? The Maseitai each have a unique look as well, and are so well crafted and large (2-3 inches in height) that the game is just fun to look at. I'm sure having painted pieces will just enhance that effect.

I've heard that Navia Dratp has a small but rabid fan-base. I can understand why. The game is fun, has multiple victory conditions, and variable player powers. I'm looking forward to playing some more!

Martin Kilpatrick Standard Net Set

Martin Kilpatrick Standard Net SetThis is a very good, inexpensive net that works well. Be aware that the net overhangs the table, and the brackets connect to the table several inches inside the end of the net. That means that the length of the net does not tell you how far apart the brackets connect to the table. Subtract several inches from the length of the net to get the length of how far apart the brackets connect to the table. If you have an older massive table, like I do, you may have to cut a notch in the table to get the brackets to connect. It was worth the small hassle for the price of this net. For most folks, this net is proabably a perfect size. There is also a string that you tighten to add tension to the top of the net.

My daughters got this as a Christmas present and while the wood looks old school durable, the plastic backstop came with a missing hinge so it's cheap and wobbly. And the catapult pin was too big to fit into the catapult and broke when I tried to insert it so now the game is pretty much useless. Really disappointed. I'm sure if it came in proper shape it'd be fun.

Acquire

AcquireAcquire is one of the most incredible Money-Hotel/Corporation games to be invented!Fast paced, full of surprises!Mergers, takeovers and upsets.NO two games are ever alike and like the stock exchange, you don't know who is the winner until the "bell" rings! The reason this outshines games such as Monopoly, it that ACQUIRE it is truly a "group" game! All the players play until the end and enjoy the fun equally. In Monopoly the goal is to "wipe out" the other players. If you play with six people, eventually four or so are off doing other things. How exciting is it to watch a greedy mogul in the final conquering stages. In Acquire, everyone plays to the bitter end and more often then not, the winner may be decided by a one note difference; talk about suspenseful endings.Strategies that work one time, will vary the next.I enjoy that there is less luck; as in mind-numbing rolling of "casino mentality" dice, and more strategy. In Acquire you always have six options open to you, but will you make the right choice, or did you hold out too long. The result can change the direction of the game for all. Also, the corporation of the most importance or profit margin vary from game to game.In Monopoly, Boardwalk is always Boardwalk and Baltic Ave is always Baltic Ave.I seriously doubt anyone has ever won investing solely on Baltic Ave.Yet in Acquire, the third class corporations may end up on top in one game, while a middle stock may be the dominate one in the next game.Ahhh! Variety is the spice of life! Finally, the best aspect of Acquire is that the game only takes twenty to forty minutes;whereas, Mononoply may go on for days (for some of the players) Yawn!

I have taught over fifteen people this game and we have regular Acquire nights where we will play two to three games in one setting. Everyone have ACQUIRED their own GAME and have gone on to ACQUIRE other new players. One friend just named their new puppy ZETA... You may wonder where they ACQUIRED that name... get a game and find out!You won't be disappointed, but you may ACQUIRE a new addiction to a board game!

ACQUIRE is a classic financial game. Buy stock and maneuver corporations. Cash in bonuses for being a major stockholder when the mergers happen!

This is the best-looking American edition of this game (it's been printed several times by different publishers here and in Europe), with nice colored headquarters buildings and chunky gray board tiles, with a glossy black board that holds the tiles in place.

The game plays quickly, and is over in about 45 minutes or so. You'll usually be paying attention even when it's not your turn, as your opponents tile placements and stock buys will often affect your plans. Everyone is in the game to the end (no one gets eliminated), and the game usually ends up being pretty close. Sometimes the winner is someone you thought had no chance, but you'll figure out when the winner turned it around during the after-action analysis. Why play Monopoly (which takes about 4 times as long to play) when you can play ACQUIRE, which is at least 4 times as fun and interesting?

P.S. Someone must be high in Tallahassee. There are 9x12= 108 tiles in this version, the SAME as every other edition of ACQUIRE that I have ever seen. The number of companies and stock certificates are the same, also. So don't worry, this edition has all the standard pieces the previous editions had, and is prettier to boot!

Buy Acquire Now

This is a really great game.I can't believe it has flown under my radar for so long.I actually don't play the new "Avalon Hill" version.I prefer the 1960s 3M version, available on Ebay if nowhere else. The 1960s version is quite a bit simpler and doesn't have the gaudy colors and names that the new version has.But basically they are the same game.

There are two main reasons this game is far superior to Monopoly 1. No dice that element of chance is not present there is still some chance, but it is a very level playing field. 2. There is no negotiations like there is in Monopoly. My brothers and I had to stop playing Monopoly after a while because we would fight too much. But we can play Acquire because there are no negotiations! You just build hotels and buy stock.Great game great fun for the whole family (provided the family is old enough to understand and play well I suggest 14 and up).

Another great game is Settlers of Catan, and though it does have dice and negotiations, it is a very good game too.

The best thing about Acquire is that it is very easy to learn, but nonetheless involves a lot of thinking and strategy. This is unusual for strategy games most of them tend to involve lots of rules and so players get bogged down or scared away. But not with Acquire. You will actually get new players regularly, and old players keep coming back. Games are short (45-60 minutes), which is another big plus.

It is the best multiplayer game that is popular among non-gamers. I cannot speak highly enough of this game you will soon find yourself thinking like a financial strategist and corporate bigwig. If they had an online version of it, I would play every day. Try to get it used, since the price tag is high, but be sure to get one with the plastic pieces. This new version by Hasbro is GREAT! When the 3M game company produced a series of "bookcase" games in the early 1960's through the 1970's they set a standard for smart design and mechanics of play coupled with attractive packaging and concise playing time. Acquire was one of the best. A simple idea of tile placement on a board coupled with stock purchases and merger ability is a tribute to inventor Sid Sackson's genius. The great Avalon Hill company, producer of quality war games eventually bought out the 3M line and upgraded Acquire twice before it's demise in 1998. When Hasbro took over, they realized this game had great potential for a modernized treatment and upgrade. The result has been wonderful! The design and packaging ensure that this now great classic will continue to impress a new generation of players well beyond the halcyon days of the Avalon Hill company. I strongly recommend this game to awaken potential game players to the knowledge that there are greater games of complexity and interest out there besides the usual Monopoly, Risk, Chutes and Ladders and Candyland that are the common lot of growing up. This game could lead you to a whole new world of "addiction" as an adult, and encompasses the strategy of Monopoly with the ruthlessness of Risk. This may lead you to other Hasbro "Avalon Hill" titles, especially the new D-Day Axis and Allies, Risk 2210 AD, or "History of the World" and you will be all the better for it. Well recommended by this veteran gamer and collector of over 40 years!

VTech - KidiArt Studio

VTech - KidiArt StudioGreat birthday or Christmas present!! Highly recommend this. I bought this for my 5 year old niece for her birthday. Great family time activity, still easy enough that she can create her own photos, or e-cards, to show off to mom. You take photos with a real digital camera, hook the art desk up to a TV, use an art pad to add decorations, stickers and fun backgrounds to photos. It hooks up to the computer, so you can then email and print the photos or whatever else was created.

I had purchased this product for my 6 year old daughter and she has turned it on only 4 times.Although the product is solidly built the issues outweigh the fun making this rather expensive product a bad deal.

From one dad's perspective, here are the issues:

1.The camera is just terrible. My phone takes better pictures and that's no compliment to my phone. With the advancement in technology today, why would a camera take such bad pictures? There's no flash so the room has to be brightly lit.The camera cannot be detached from the arm on the drawing table so the person has to sit directly in front of it.Although the camera does rotate from front to back and auto rotates the perspective, so that's good.

2.The graphics are just horrible. To get a sense, if you have ever purchased one of those video games that come packaged in a joystick and you plug into a tv that's what it looks like. For some this may be acceptable. Here is an example (these graphics are much better):Jakks SpongeBob SquarePants TV Game

3.There is no AC Adapter (power plug). You have to use batteries or purchase the adapter seperately. The console really only requires 4 AA batteries but there is another compartment for backup batteries, which is another 4 AA batteries.I'm assuming the backup power is so that all work created is not deleted when changing the primary batteries.Again, the system can be used with the main batteries BUT you get a notification on screen periodically that there is no backup batteries.

4.There is an option to hook up your drawing table to a computer. We use a laptop to save my daughter's work but honestly, if you have a laptop or computer already, you can download free (open source) kid-friendly drawing software. My coworker told me about tuxpaint (http://www.tuxpaint.org/) which is basically paintshop for kids.I would imagine that if you had a half-way decent camera, you can probably load pictures in this program and have the same basic functionality.Your little ones may not like drawing with a mouse but you can surely purchase a notepad for the computer. Here is an example of one (not yet purchaded or reviewed):Genius MousePen 8 x 6-Inch Graphic Tablet for Home and Office.

Hope this helps.

I bought this toy for my 5 year old daughter. The first one came broken. The second one came and I put batteries in the main compartment and in the backup compartment. There is no wall charger, you have to buy that seperate. The batteries do not last very long. Before, she was finished playing with it for the first time her batteries died, even the back up ones. You would litterally have to have hundreds of batteries to play this.A wall charger is a must!

I bought this toy for my then 5 yr. old son for Christmas last year. My son is very creative and previously received the kids digital camera for his b-day, so I thought he might enjoy this. However, the material is cheap and very poor quality. The digital camera didn't function correctly and after one use, the desk fell apart. Although, there is a separate function that allows you to connectthe camera and art studio to the computer, it also didn't function correctly. I paid $60 for a piece of junk! Don't waste your money.

We got this for our two girls (5 and 3) and it's probably a bit too hard for them to use.But if you get it for older children it could be too boring.

The idea is very cool and there are some neat things you can do..if you can move the pen correctly and click where you need to.There are so many things you can do but it's too complicated for younger children. My 5 year old has mostly just taken her picture with the camera and my 3 year old did take her picture and color on it once.

The problem really is that you click with the pen but if you press too hard it clicks when you don't want it to hence why there are 50 pictures of my 5 year old when we keep telling her to cancel!

Smethport Tabletop Pocket Chart Sight Words and Sentences

Smethport Tabletop Pocket Chart Sight Words and SentencesThere were no reviews for this product and I couldn't find anything else to satisfy my need, so I went ahead and bought it.I'm VERY happy with it!The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars from me is that it doesn't come with a cover, and I think that would have been nice.In any case, I was just looking for a tabletop pocket chart, so for me the sentence strips were a bonus.I do have to cut down regular chart strips to fit in there (because, as you can imagine, fitting 10 lines into a small space causes things to need to be a bit smaller), but the overall size is great and not difficult to work with or see like I had worried at first.

If you're a homeschooler or someone else who's working with in a more intimate setting then this product will work great for you!My kids find the cards that come with the set fun, and I've seen that many of the sentences that are available fit in with the writing program that we've been using anyway! The price is great, and the make is good.... the pocket on the back for word strips is a fantastic idea.Again, the only thing that would make this better is if it had a storage case of some sort.

Wow I can't wait for school to begin!I am a "traveling" teacher.I go from one classroom to another, teaching English Language Learners.I have to set up in a variety of classroom arrangements and am always looking for a way to engage kids while teaching concepts. This chart can be set upon a chair or desk, using very little space while providing the pocket feature for different classes.Kids love to help the teacher; I will appoint chart helpers. This is a win-win product good for kids and teachers alike!

Pocket charts can be a lot of fun for the kids, since they get to take a more hands-on role in their education! It sits nicely on a tabletop and easily folds up for storage and is thin enough to put behind a bookcase or against a wall. You can't see it in the stock picture, but there's a large storage pocket on the back which holds all the sentence cards when not in use and it'll add a little bulk to the chart. You're given about 145 individual word cards and about 60 sentence cards with fill in the blank spaces, so it gives you a lot of freedom to modify the sentences.I like that there are some easy sentences that my preschooler can sound out and harder sentences that are geared for an older child that he can work up to as his reading improves. It's also fun for him to try words that make silly sentences since there's a great variety of interchangeable cards.

This tabletop version would work best in a homeschool or with a small group of kids because with the cards being smaller (only about 1.5" tall half the size of a regular flash card), they really need to be up close to it.With fewer kids, they get a chance to interact with it on their own as well.We also use the chart with flash cards, but we have to skip a line because the flash cards are nearly double the height compared to the sentences cards.

I love that it doesn't take up much space, can be used on a table instead of hanging on a wall, and is great entertainment for my preschooler!

I like the fact that it can teach my 2 year old sentence structuring & words at the same time. Would have loved more sentences. I suppose I can create my old but printing them on good quality hard board is such a hassle, which is why I bought this in the first place. My girl enjoys learning from her tabletop chart!

We bought this table for our 18 month old to grow with. The table arrived packaged well, with no damage and included simple easy to follow directions in picture form only and all the hardware. The table is very handsome and looks and feels sturdy. The assembly was really just 8 screwsand washers into the 4 leg posts which took all of about 5 minutes.Hopefully it will hold up and we will try and update the review later as to how it holds up..

Well, the picture is of a table with two chairs. If you expand the product details it does clearly say chairs sold separately.

So, for anyone shopping in a hurry, like me, be careful!

Product shipped 2nd day after order.

Will add stars once it is here and assembled if nice enough to undo this annoying hassle of not including chairs.

Anatex Jungle Roller Coaster Table

Anatex Jungle Roller Coaster TableThis was purchased for the children's area in a library. Now the toddlers have entertainment and don't pull books from the shelves. There were children clustered around the table within minutes of placing it in the room, and I hear the little "clicks" of the beads most hours of the day. It is a real winner.

This is the most entertaining toy we have in our Tax Office. We have them in two of our offices already and when we open another we will definitely get the same one again.

I bought this to use for my dry erase white board. It was too flimsy to hold my fairly light board.

This easel requires assembly.

KidKraft Tiffany Bow Lil' Doll High Chair

KidKraft Tiffany Bow Lil' Doll High ChairI wanted to buy my daughter a doll highchair as a reward for potty training. I searched around at the different brands, Badger, Kidkraft and Melissa and Doug. Melissa and Doug was too expensive, so I nixed that.I have a Kidkraft kitchen which is so cute and extremely durable so I was swayed to Kidkraft. There are two kidkraft doll high chairs this one and the Lil' doll. The Lil' doll one has pretty good reviews across the board.I personally like the look of the bow on the Tiffany high chair, but it had some negative reviews which made me hesitate. But I am sure that kidkraft does not make two totally different high chairs...it might have a different seat back, but it deosn't make sense to me that the company would make such different high chairs (that look nearly identical by the way). I bit the bullet and bought this one.First of all, it was super easy to put together.Every thing was included, labeled with clear instructions. Mommy put this together with a 2 year old circling around excitedly "helping out" with zero problems. I had absolutely no problem putting it together and as some negative reviews mentioned, the seat did not split in two upon installation.I don't doubt the previous negative reviewers experience, but i'm saying that I have had no issues. Also, we have only had a for a short time, but my 30+ lb daughter has sat in it herself with no problem.I suppose time will tell, but I really don't see this breaking into pieces.Perhaps kidkraft addressed the earlier issues, but I am happy with this high chair and glad I bought it over the others.Obviously, if the high chair does not perform well over time, I will return and let you know. My daughter immediately loved feeding her doll in the chair. The chair pad is cute and fits snuggly. Also, I love the way the tray lifts up and down. It's really life-like and I think it has an educational value if your are preparing your child for a baby sibling.

UPDATE: Okay, it's now been about 4 months since we've owned this product and we have zero problems with it. My daughter is pretty heavy (35 lbs). She and her cousin have been known to try to sit in the seat. No wood splitting in half or broken pieces on the floor.

I have a kidkraft play table and chairs and they are great.Kidkraft will also send you free replacement parts.Sadly, with this chair, you will need that service. The wood seat splits near the predrilled holes when you screw in the part.I ordered a free replacement part and had the same problem with that part even though I barely tightened the screws.I've ordered my third seat now and will roll the dice again.Do not buy.I read that someone else experienced the same problem with this chair.

Has held up nicely with our daughters' heavy usage.A few toddler friends have even attempted to sit in it despite adults telling them no.It cracked on the back a little, but was able to glue back into place with clamps.
