My two daughters have absolutely fallen in love with the Barbie Sisters series and sets. We have collected most of them between my two daughters, aged 7 and 4, and have been very happy. My 4 year old received this set for Christmas and has had such a fun time with it. Between my two daughters using it all over the house, my nephew stepping on it, and a couple of tug of wars between the girls over it, it has taken quite a beating since we've gotten it. I am happy to say that the bunk beds have survived all of these things, and we even still have the laptop and ipod that came with it, which are favorites. The only problem with it is the ladder. This constantly falls off, so my daughter doesn't even use it. It hasn't taken away from the fun factor though. Since this has been so durable and fun, I ended up buying a second set for my 7 year old for her birthday.Read Best Reviews of Barbie Sisters Sleeptime Bedroom and Stacie Doll Set Here
I just bought this at walmart for 27.98. Why on earth is it selling for more than double that on here? Great toy, will provide hours of fun!Want Barbie Sisters Sleeptime Bedroom and Stacie Doll Set Discount?
The price was consistently higher priced, but this product was hard to find. Our 5 year old daughter has had hours of fun playing with this in her barbie doll house. It's kind of flimsy, but its still in one piece and it gets hauled around quite a bit.Our daughter isn't that hard on toys though. She enjoys pretending she is having sleep overs.Dr Seuss Classic Book Characters Party Centerpiece
I was nervous about this being difficult to put together(since other people commented on it being a pain) but if you have another person helping you, its super easy! The size & 3 dimensionality are perfect for a centerpeice. The colors are bright & eye catching but since its only made from card stock, it can be very flexible/flimsy but its what was expected for the price.
This centerpiece is bright and colorful. It added a another note of whimsy to our shower. The honoree thought it was adorable.

Sturdy nice sounds. Lovely colors. Keeps score that can be cleared to start over. Buttons on side are nice and easy to play. It's a good value for the price and my son loves it and so did all the adults at his birthday party!Gave this to my 4 yr old grandson for Christmas. It was his favorite toy.Even his 10 yr old brother liked to play it.Good game.Kid o Bilibo
And while at my 2.5 yr. grandchild's, she stands in it, hangs on to a chair and twists and balances standing in it.Her mother was a gymnast and NCAA diver and this looks like a great toy to build those ankles up for balancing and take-offs.The 1.5 yr. old uses it for his cars and trucks and plays train with the Bilibo as a tunnel. He also uses it like the back of a dump truck.
I would rank the Bilibo up there with staples for the nursery/kindergarten like blocks and balls. There is no end to the creativity and usefulness a child gets from it.It looks like fun and the children see it that way immediately.I bought it using Amazon's system of review and bestsellers, the video of the Bilibo and my child development education background. On all levels it was A+!!
We've had ours for a few years, now, and still love it!
I see that a few other reviewers were bothered that it isn't more functional as a chair.I agree that it is not the most comfortable of chairs. This does not bother me, however, because it's design is very well suited to the active and creative use intended.
It's best use is not as a single self-contained, self explainatory activity (the simple rocking, balancing, or spinning never lasts long around here), but as an accessory to any number of activities and imaginative games. In addition to being the means to some serious dizziness, ours has been a tunnel, a sled, a cave, a chariot, a stool, a mountain, a cradle, and so much more.
There have been times when it was tucked away and unused, but the kids are always excited when they rediscover it and suddenly it returns to being the most cherished and fought over among toys.
I admit to having a few initial doubtmy kids' interest was short lived when I introduced it as a single straightforward activity. It was as an accessory to all their everyday play that it really started to shine. Now I consider it to be one of my best toy purchases.
My children, ages 4.5 and 2.5 each got two of these for Christmas. They are a big hit.I'm very impressed with the construction, which is of a thick plastic, I can flip it over and stand on top myself and it only flexes slightly on our slippery kitchen floor. They are a good size an adult of medium build could sit in one.My kids can get in and cross their legs inside too.
The shape is great two of them fit together to form a kind of spherical shape. The two holes are inspired as they love putting them on their heads and looking through the holes. They have found a ton of uses so far! They spin the bilibo and put a marble in and watch it go around. They spin around in them themselves. They have used it as the center in their block building expeditions, as a seat and to port toys around the house.
I am very impressed with this toy I love how it inspires creativity and active play.I would definitely recommend getting one or several!
Update 4 years later these have stood the test of time. They are not only still in perfect condition, the kids still enjoy playing with them now at ages 6 and 8.

Neat to look at, but it pinches fingers when my kids roll in it. Also, both of them have fallen backwards and hit their heads on the floor. Might work if you have shag carpet or a matted surface. So far this thing is a dirty clothes collector.A few months back, based on some glowing recommendations, I bought this "toy" for my son. Several times, I have tried to get him to play with his Bilbo -to no avail. It is simply not any fun.It looks like a broken swing seat. My kid keeps his cars in it. Sometimes he will stand on it, but he NEVER plays with it. He had more fun with the box. I would not recommend this "toy" for any child of any age.

We got this for our daughter's recent first birthday, and it has already proven its worth. She enjoys pressing the objects that make noise (phone, toilet, etc.), then laughing at her accomplishments. She will also use the house as a place for playing with other toys.
The assembly required is extremely minimal just a few screws and while there are many stickers to put on before the house is complete, it's certainly not difficult or time-consuming.The product seems durable, at least what I've seen of it to this point.
While I don't know how enjoyable this would be for an older child, I certainly think it's an excellent choice as a first dollhouse for a younger child. And with the relatively low price, it's not going to be too painful if your little one doesn't enjoy it as much as you'd like.

I purchased this dollhouse for my son's first birthday in December. I believe it's perfectly fine, unlike many, for a little boy to play with a dollhouse, especially while under 5 years of age because they learn and create from what they see every day in their own homes. (i.e. If the "Daddy" is always in front of the computer, maybe he needs more chores to do, right? ;)At first he did not play with the dollhouse as much as I had hoped. Maybe this was partly my fault because I wasn't really actively trying to play with the dollhouse along with him for more than a few moments at a time. Since our plastic "Daddy" sits in the computer chair, guess who's doing all the work in reality? All the same, he was still playing with it occasionally and having fun putting the baby in and out of the crib, or having Mommy push baby in the stroller.
Yesterday I sat down with him (now 15 months) and we got out a few of his Little People playsets. He owns many as I got Little People crazed, but I brought out the Sweet Sounds Home and the Little People Playground with Neighborhood Vehicles (icecream truck and a schoolbus). As an adult, I found myself having trouble trying to use my imagination. It seems as if one day you wake up and you just can't conjure up that great idea anymore, but I did my best. He loved it! He kept putting Plastic Mommy in various parts of the house and loved to sit Plastic Daddy on the toilet and "flush" it over and over. Hint.
What you get for your dough:
2 Plastic Parents (Our Plastic Mommy is holding a bottle and Mr. Plastic Dad is holding a cell phone. Hmm...what is wrong with that? What about putting a scrub brush in Daddy's hand and just letting the mommy breastfeed so she doesn't have some huge bottle glued to her hand when she's trying to sleep or drive?)
1 Adorable baby in a basket
1 Set of table and chairs {I love this! Mommy NEVER has to cook! The food is already on the table...yeah!)
1 Bed with only two indentions on it (Co-sleeping anyone? My son probably doesn't understand why he can't put Baby In a Basket in the bed with Bottle Mommy and Cell-Talkin Daddy...there's no room...unless Daddy is sleeping in the crib--or up all night cooking breakfast. He is probably a doctor or something though because he looks rather smart with those coke glasses.)
1 Stroller (My son loves to put Plastic Female Parent in this...is this a sign that he wants to show ME who's boss? Perhaps another Baby Stewie.)
1 Walker to go in the playroom (Isn't it interesting that there is a computer room for Plastic Male Parent and a toy room for Baby In a Basket [or Daddy?], but there is the LAUNDRY ROOM for the Mommy because YOU KNOW that's who's going to be doing the clothes around THIS Sweet Sounds Home!)
There are also special sounds in each room.
Kitchen: We have a nice microwave DING! sound to alert Plastic Mommy that the nice dinner she made for Plastic Daddy is heated up since he was late from work.
Living Room: A bright yellow telephone will ring or make the "busy" sound. Whoever could it be?
Bedroom: The baby bed can be pushed down to make a nice little melody for Plastic Baby to fall asleep to...or continue crying and then Plastic Mommy would have to breastfeed and wonder why a bottle with no milk is glued to her hand. Or she would bottlefeed. Whichever is Plastic Mommy's preference at all hours of the night. If pressed again, you will hear "Momma, Momma", not "Dadda, Dadda", because Momma is who comes a runnin'!
Bathroom: We've been over this.
Playroom: There is what appears to be a play-mat on the floor and when you press it you will hear a nice little song or some baby babble. I'm pretty sure that is what you will hear, but Plastic Baby is usually with Plastic Mommy and she is usually in the Laundry Room.
Laundry Room: The joyful sound of laundry swishin' and a swashin'! Now isn't that MUSIC!
Computer Room: Plastic Mommy has never heard this sound, but it is the "Brrrrrrrruuuuuuuuuhnnn" noise to alert Plastic Person (Daddy) that the computer is on.
Overall: This is a great home and will entertain your little one for hours. My son is really starting to get into it, and hopefully I can get him to put Plastic Daddy to work more. We love our Real Daddy (HONEST!) and hope that Plastic Daddy will continue to re-enact everything Real Daddy does. In time, I hope to see Plastic Mommy sit down at the computer more often so Real Mommy can sit and write more reviews for you folks.

My daughter recieved this little people house for her first birthday, I was more excited than she was at first. Where was this adorable house when I was a kid?? But a few months later she found it and started to explore all of the sounds and colors. This set comes with an adorable little family (mommy daddy and baby), table and two chairs, bed, highchair and stroller. We paired ours with the little people van, which is a really cute addition to the "Family". Inside the house everyroom has something neat to expore. The baby's room has a bed that makes sounds and a moving mobile. The kitchen has a refridgerater that opens and has a picture of food inside.
I really like that when you read a little people book or watch a video you will see the pink van and house. My kids love seeing their toys in the book!
Katie who is now almost a year and a half can drag her house out and open the back up to play. She will sit there as long as her attention span will allow and then she will put the pieces inside and close it up! She doesn't play with it for long periods of time, but as she gets older I'm sure she'll play with it longer (If not I will) It really is a great house for your little one.
Life-Like Spiral Speedzone NASCAR Electric Slot Car Race Set
- Fast-Trackers tune-up kit included
- Clocked at nearly 1,000 scale mph
- Two officially licensed NASCAR slot cars with stainless steel guide pins will not break
- Easy Assembly Dura-Lock Patented Side-Locking Track System stays secure
- Heavy Duty Traction magnets ensure that your racer will cling to the road
The very first piece I tried to snap together broke. The sliding lips that connect to hold the track together are cheap and flimsy and crack easily.Even being extra careful in connecting the tracks I still broke the connections of three more pieces.
An hour later, the track held together with scotch tape the boys loved it and played with it for about an hour when they came up stairs to tell me the whole thing fell apart.Almost every corner had come undone because the connection pieces broke.I tried to fix with more scotch tape but it simply wasn't worth it.Eventually this super cool track turned into a 3 ft by 1 ft oval and I don't know how long that will last either.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT AND WISH I COULD HAVE MY MONEY BACK

I found broken tracks as soon as I opened the box. Next day was Christmas so I had to fix some of the the tracks with zip tyraps to hold them together. The cars would stall in several spots. Cleaned track and it helped a little.
One of the cars in one week has bad contacts on the bottom. I cleaned them but it will not go but inches before you have to push it a little. Then it stops again in a few more inches.
This toy costs way too much for the condition in came to me in and the short amount of time it took to wear out two of the contacts.

Do not waste your money if you are considering this as gift for a child. The plastic track "breaks" too easily. I broken the first piece trying to put a rail back on. Within an hour four track piece were broken and you can't fix them. Replacement track is expensive, so i considered purchasing another entire set. I had to reconfigure my sons track (I'm glad that I purchased the long track). Shortly after that, another piece broke. In less than a week -9 broken track pieces. In a few days it will be in the trash. A real waste of $$$.
This was a very anticipated Christmas present for my son and when we began assembly it, small pieces kept snapping off and breaking. It is such a waste of money that we're putting it out for trash collection this week. So many peices broke, we ended up building a smaller track but even that fell apart, and the cars don't stay on the track.

Periodic Table of Elements Placemat by M. Ruskin
It is 17.5 inches by 12 inches and coated in really heavy plastic.Has Atomic number, symbol, name, atomic weight, valence shell configuration (and big enough to actually read), boiling, melting point, density, crystal structure and is color coded. It does stop at 112 and we are up to (in theory 118) but that is not going to be addressed in most beginning chem classes.
Also 110, 111 and 112 do have names nowDarmstadtium, Roentgenium and Copernicium respectively. So a new update would be nice (hence one star off, as it was published in 2000) , but again, for beginning students this will not be an issue. After buying other periodic table placemats and posters, this is by far the best. Most of the others were flimsy and uninspired more like posterboard. This is a real placemat with bold colors and solid finish that will last.

This is an updated Periodic Table from the last one I bought (2002).This one is dated 2010 and has some the newer elements named properly.
So don't go by the picture it is of the copyright 2000 version.
The colors seem brighter too of course mine is aged.
I have mine on the coffee table great conversation starter!
next to it I have the Star Chart version of placemat.
They compliment one another the very small next to the very large scale.
Great if you are going on "Jeopardy!" or studying for Chem 201.

LEGO Friends Olivia's House 3315
The house is mostly tan, white and lime, with pink roof pieces and some pink accent pieces. There are many, many accessories, which was delightful. I read that some Lego developers asked why the anthropological research found that girls wanted more accessories, like handbags, combs, etc., and in response, the researchers asked why boys needed a sword, dagger, shield, etc. (In the Ninjago Booster bonus set I got recently, a minifigurine came with 9 assorted weapons...). See the great article in Bloomsberg Businessweek on Lego's business strategy in targeting first boys, then girls, with their themed sets:
The best review I've seen of this set is at Eurobricks. You have to check out this review. It shows every brick included and goes into great detail on the furniture and rooms, so I won't go into the details.
Basically, this is an awesome set, and you can play at this for hours. As I wander around the girls' section at Toys R Us, I am vaguely repulsed by the aisles of pink barbies, skinny teenager dolls, pink dress up princess clothes, plastic kitchens and food, and fake taking-care-of-baby dolls and accessories. In comparison, the Lego Friends sets are much more creative and imaginative.Unlike the static dollhouses with the pre-printed furniture on the walls and static dolls (I saw several that were selling for $149 for boring, big, static dollhouses for barbie-sized dolls), this Lego set (much cheaper) can be taken apart, put together in different ways, rearranged, and I found myself reaching for my regular Lego blocks to put together new furniture and outdoor pieces. You can customize the minifigurines with the hair pieces and accessories from other minifigurines.
There are a few accessories that don't "snap" into place, like the cupcakes, hot dog, apple, cherries, lawnmower but most of them do, and they're great. The figurines don't snap into a sitting position, but they do snap into a standing position. I actually like the minifigurines, they make the old ones look very blocky. If there's anything you don't like, you can take it apart, rearrange it, and even order new individual lego blocks from the lego.com pick a brick website.
I was very impressed by the creative use of the same lego elements little 1x1 round pieces can be flowers, blender tops, lawnmower wheels, cupcakes, bushes and flowers, plant holders, doorknobs, lighting fixtures, shaker tops, bedding, lights, etc.Anyway, you get the point just an ingenious use of common Lego elements. There's no stinting of legos here, the house is fully accessorized, fully furnished, and even outside the house, the landscape is very busy and fun.
The rooms can be put into different configurations, so they're not very solidly connected. You can easily change this by removing the smaller smooth pegged pieces and attaching them with the exposed regular lego pieces.
I know there is controversy among adults who don't like the fact that Lego is targeting girls with these themed sets, and insist that girls and boys should all play from the same basic Lego blocks like they did in the good old days (like the 1970's).Sure, Duplo is targeted towards boys and girls, and there are basic Lego building sets available, but from age 4/5 onwards, Lego deliberately targets boys with themed sets such as Alien Conquest (salvage crew fighting evil Atlantean minions), Pharoah Quest (archaeologist fighting evil Egyptian monsters), City (cops fighting evil robbers, firefighters fighting fires), Ninjago (ninjas fighting evil lord and skeletons), Hero Factory, Racers, Star Wars, etc. The Bloomsberg Businessweek article notes that since 2005, when Lego deliberately focused on the market for boys (after years of anthropological research on how boys play) to revive its brand, Lego has doubled its revenue and is now the hottest toy company in the boy segment. Just as there is a princess phase for girls, now people talk about a Lego phase for boys. Yet nobody seems to be complaining that Lego is deliberately targeting boys with gendered stereotypes of violence, monsters, fighting, conflict, competition, cars/ships/airplanes/boats, and weapons. In contrast, after four years of anthropological research on how girls play, the Lego Friends themed sets focus on cooperation between the main characters and is newly launched.
If you just want the lego experience, or have kids who like lego, or are thinking about buying a dollhouse for your child, this is the set to get. Like they say in the Bloomsberg article, Lego is known for developing "spatial, mathematical, and fine motor skills, and lets kids build almost anything they can imagine, often leading to hours of quiet, independent play."
There will be a summer release for further sets, and even an Advent Calendar for the holidays. If kids want to play with the Lego Friends sets, at least they're using their imagination and playing with Lego blocks. So don't be afraid of trying the Lego Friend sets out because of controversy by adults online. Try it out, and if you or your kids like it, just enjoy it.My 5 year old daughter loves this Lego Set.She has liked Legos some in the past, but her default was to play more with baby dolls or puzzles or stuffed animals; now this Lego set is her primary toy.She loves playing house/family/friend senarios and this adds the ability to be creative and use her original Legos to build even more. She loves playing with the swing and having the dolls interact in different rooms in the house. With our help so far she has added a shed to put the lawn mower in, a bedroom for the parents, and a minivan for the family. It is a great way for moms and dads to get to be a kid again and have a fun way to interact with their daughters.
As for assembling all those pieces... it is actually quite easy. The pieces come grouped in bags to make putting it together easier. The instructions don't have any words, but instead pictures this works great since my daughter is just learning to read.We decided to do 1-2 bags per night, so the project would stay fun.By the time we started the third bag my daughter had picked up on how to assemble it by looking at the pictures and she was able to do quite a bit of it.
I will admit I had a bit of sticker shock when I saw the price.I had grown up only playing with regular Legos for the most part and I wondered if this would really be worth the money. As soon as I opened it and saw how organized the designers made the assembly and then all the custom pieces that are so cute, I felt better about the price. Now three weeks later my daughter still plays with it every day (way more than anything else she received for Christmas). With endless options I think this toy will remain a favorite for a long time.We highly recommend this to our friends and anyone considering a doll house for their daughter. We are making plans to add the other sets to her collection as birthday and Christmas presents.
Suggestions to Lego for improvement... 1. I agree with other reviews that the cupcakes falling apart is a little frustrating to my daughter not sure what the reasoning was there.2.Also we would love the option to get more boys in another set.My daughter is young, so she is not looking for boyfriend/girlfriend stuff, but instead she would like Olivia to have a brother or male friend. Also maybe we could add a Grandma and Grandpa, too.As I said she loves playing house/family so anything to complete that would be great.3.How about a school?I saw the science lab which is great, but a school resembling something more like an elementary school my daughter is familiar with would be great.

I have to admit, I think I enjoy building these as much as my daughters! The youngest is only 4 and needs a bit of help to assemble, but after it is built together--she loves it! Even my 11-year-old is having a blast, and it is easy for her to put together herself. They each come with a booklet and step-by-step instructions, so you never get confused. However, my youngest will just build it the way she likes, and still has fun, even if it is not "right".We have Olivia's House, Heartlake Dog Show, Stephanie's Pet Patrol, and Olivia's Treehouse. These Lego sets are extremely easy to put together and loads of fun. While some of them can be a bit pricey, they are worth it. In fact, I just ordered the Butterfly Beauty Shop, Heartlake Vet, and Mia's Puppy House!
If you have a daughter (any age!) that enjoys building things, as well as playing "dolls" or dollhouse, then this is the right toy for them!

My just-turned 7 year old daughter started being interested in legos earlier in this school year.So she received the Spongebob sets for Christmas because these were the only more gender-neutral of the sets in the market (and the only ones she wanted because, as she explained, they weren't too boyish). She enjoyed making those, but not nearly as much as these Friends sets that she received for her birthday! She got the cafe, Olivia's house, the car, vet, and pet car, and has almost finished every set that she received less than a week ago.Even her older sister who is 10 and usually doesn't want to play with with her, and her sister's toys, sat down with her and helped her build for an hour or so and then dove in again immediately after school yesterday with her. They love building the tv, and couch, and marvel at how different furniture swivels. They have proudly shown their friends what they have built and constantly want me to see their accomplishments. For those who think this is a sexist toy, think again. There is a vet that the female characters operate, an inventor's studio, musician studio and more. The colors are "girlie" mainly consisting of beiges, pinks, and reds. But I think the toys turn out great looking with that pallette.
Bottom line, is that my girls are getting the math, patience, direction following, problem solving, following through on a project from beginning to end, experience that boys have been getting for years with legos. We hope Lego expands on this series because we're already close to being done!!My daughter was very excited to have "girl power" legos, and both my son and daughter love the unique pieces in the kit. The colors are also beautiful. The house was very easy to build and once assembled the house itself has been very durable during play. However, some of the smaller pieces fall apart quite easily (i.e., the cupcakes). The other issues we have had are: the hair doesn't stay on the mini figures and the slippery surfaces on the furniture that give it a more modern appearance combined with the new styling of the figures don't allow the figures to "snap" in place like traditional lego mini figures. My daughter gets really frustrated when they won't "sit" and stay on the chair. Otherwise, it was a great purchase and my daughter loves it.

It was a bit expensive but was easy to put together and my granddaughter s loved it. Very pretty designThis is a wonderful furniture set, and the picture doesn't do it justice. The color of the table top and chair sides is dark pink with bright white polka dot pattern. The crown design is very subtle, lightly painted. It is very sturdy, made from good quality wood, and I'm pretty sure will withstand many years of play. My husband and I, we assembled it in 10 min. Goes well with the white wooden wardrobecurrently offered at Target for $55 (Generation dolls or smth like that brand). It just doesn't feel right to pay those insane amounts for AG furniture. This product overall is fairly durable. The only problem is with the legs on the table.I have had to glue them a couple of times because they keep coming loose. It went together pretty easy and should last my granddaughters a long time. It really doesn't have any educational value, at least none that I can think of.Musical Pop-tivity Table

We have had the Brilliant Basics Musical Pop-tivity Table for a few months now and we love it. My son loves to stand and play with it and it keeps him occupied for much longer than the average toy. The table is stable enough for my 25 pound eight month old to pull himself up on without it tipping over. I find the music to be annoying, but the switch is hidden under the table, so we just don't turn it on. The activities on the toy keep him busy enough without the music anyway. Overall, a fantastic buy!Read Best Reviews of Musical Pop-tivity Table Here
My daughter enjoyed this a lot -it's the simplest of the table toys and it's small enough to take to the park and visiting by just putting it in the trunk of the car. Don't have to take the legs off. It's light and compact which for me was a plus because we don't have lots of space.Because it is light, it's not going to be good with a baby who is not steady on their feet to use alone -parent has to hold it steady. We used it on a carpet so it would not slide around. My SIL liked it so much I got it for my niece too. Their baby is #3 so she also appreciate saving space.
