Deluxe Art Center
The table itself if fairly sturdy. The whole thing is all wood. The only part that I had trouble with were the stool legs. They didn't fit perfectly but I was able to get them adjusted tightly nonetheless.
The storage boxes that come with the unit look a bit cheesy as they are plain white and a bit shallow. We picked up some dark brown and tan boxes from Target that look great. It's a great place to store all the art supplies, crayons, etc. for the kids.
Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and several of my friends have commented on how much they liked it as well.
This artist table is wonderful!! My kids love the chairs, and all the shelves and cubby spacing for all their pencils, crayons, etc.My daughter loves coming home from school and going straight to her desk to color. The only negative would be to be careful to inspect the desk when it arrives because ours came with the cardboard box beaten up a little bit but we were lucky and found no damage to the desk pieces when we opened everything and looked. This unit looks just like it's pictured. The stools are small, but my girls don't mind that they're not chairs. It's also a great height for my girls to stand and draw. Having the paper always available is great, because I don't have to constantly replace single sheets. The storage bins are a little flimsy and thin, but they serve their purpose well. We did have a little trouble with assembly because the holes were not properly aligned for a couple screws, but my husband, who is quite handy, was able to make it work. We're definitely pleased with our choice, having searched a long time for the right unit. This table is great quality (except for the storage bins that come with it.) It was easy to put together and looks great... I even put it in my living room the color fits great. I like all of the storage for art supplies and the paper roll for drawing and coloring. Also, this product arrived damaged and the 3rd party seller quickly refunded all money through amazon.don't even bother to look at this made in china pcs. of junk...overpriced , low quality , no even good enough for fire wood
Corolle Les Classiques Doll Accessories (Floral High Chair)
Dad was able to assemble it in about five minutes without tools and Sadie had her dolly Rosie seated with us for Christmas dinner.I am sure she will enjoy playing with it for many years to come as it also can be broken down to create a chair and table for her doll.

We wanted a high-chair for our two-year-old's dolls and this one is just perfect.Went together very easily, is the right height for most of her cabbage patch-sized dolls, looks good and most importantly, appears to be quite durable.Plastic is strong and doesn't appear to be flimsy.

Super cute but tiny (per the measurements) It was just smaller than I imagined.
My daughter loves it but she's four and almost too big for it.
It was very easy to put together!

I can't comment on the assembly of this item, since Santa assembled it while Daddy was a bit busy. This thing is small... very small. You should know that by the dimensions, but it doesn't really make the impression until you see it. It is the perfect height for my daughter, and is proportioned properly for the doll that goes in it, but it's so... small.
Anyway, the only real comment here is that she loves it, but it is constantly being knocked over by my son when he walks by it a little too briskly... or he does it on purpose, I don't know.
Sometimes, when she "feeds" the baby, she knocks it over as well.
It is made of plastic and very light good for moving around the house, but bad for keeping it upright.
Still, she loves it and plays with it, pretending to be a Mommy. It makes her happy, which is its purpose.
Imaginarium Train Station
I actually bought my Imaginarium Train Station at a local Toys R Us (the exclusive Imaginarium distributor) for the store retail price of $11.99. Made primarily of wood it has a attached 7" track that is compatible with Thomas, Brio & Maxim wooden, railway tracks. The blue, top part of the station is made of plastic that houses the batteries and electronic, sound module. Two AAA batteries are needed, but are not included. The three buttons on the top each make their own electronic sound; a train engine noise, a train whistle noise & a train crossing bell noise. There are two plastic doors that swing open back & forth. The set also includes a wooden figure & a train engine.
My only complaint about this product is it was difficult to install the batteries as you literally had to pry off the plastic roof from the wooden station (no screws). Remove one screw from the plastic door to insert the two AAA's and press the roof back on. So far the roof is pretty snug after I initially stored the first pair of AAA batteries, but I'm not sure how snug it will be later after replacing the roof multiple times to change batteries. If the roof doesn't stick back too well later I might consider installing a couple velcro strips. Hopefully my little son doesn't grab the roof & pry it off himself until then. Overall, I think this is a very good value of a set when compared to the other Learing Curve train accessories that I have for my son's train layout that cost more than double of the Imaginarium Train Station. This also the first train accessory for my son's train set to make audible sounds, so it is nice to have my son's train set come "alive" with sounds! Considering how expensive the Learing Curve, Thomas brand products are for wooden railways, the Imaginarium Train Station is a nice inexpensive addition to anyone's wooden, railway train set.
LeapFrog Learn & Groove™ Musical Table
It can become a hazard once your child is able to climb. It can become a stepping stool onto higher, dangerous places (like bookshelves and toy cabinets).
Other than that, it is a fantastic toy. There is a variety of music in there, so it is not as annoying for parents as some other electronic toys.It is also very sturdy.Ours has been through some serious abuse (it has even gotten soaked in the rain) and it still works well.Despite all the keys and buttons, it is fairly easy to clean.I bought this table for my 7 month old since I had owned a previous version of the same thing (minus the Spanish part).Unfortunately I gave it away, so I recently purchased it again. The main board itself is great, fun, and keeps the attention of the little one.The bilingual addition to this toy is fantastic. It has a great variety of activities/sounds so not only is the little one entertained by it, parents don't have to hear the same things over and over again.
However, the legs feel really flimsy this time around. The older version had extra stabilizing 'feet' when you add the legs so there would be less tendency to tip over. I don't know why they decided to stop making them with this feature other than a cost issue on their end. Also, some of the new versions do not have the tabs on the legs, so once you attach the legs on, you cannot remove them.Which is again strange since they claim on the box that you can remove them.(apparently, the Leapfrog Company has told people to return this version to the store and get one with the tabs, but good luck finding one with tabs)The plastic legs are also more prone to bend in places it's not supposed to bend(I found this out when I tried to remove the legs.)Luckily, I was able to exchange it out as my baby doesn't stand up yet.
So, in summary, if you want to buy this table and your little one is still not ready to stand, check to see which type of legs the table comes with.If it has the tabs, you are in luck.If it doesn't, do not put the legs on until your little one is ready to stand.

My mom bought this table and I bought a Fisher Price table. The kids love the Leap Frog Table and hate the Fisher Price one.The Leap Frog one is awesome! It has two options, words or music. So for the little ones to whom words don't mean much, you can use the music reinforcement and my toddler (age 2) likes the word option now.Great for around age 8 months when they start pulling up to stand.Love Love Love this table.

My daughter just got this for her first birthday and she loves it!Everything you touch on this table makes a noise we especially love the trombone and the banjo. As you flip the pages to the "book" in the middle of the table, the songs and the sounds change. There are lots of movable parts for the kids to play with the slide on the trombone moves, there is a slide on the violin, the banjo has a lever to pull, there is a barrel to roll, pages of the book to turn, shapes to press, and a compartment to open. It is very colorful and very sturdy, too.I would DEFINTELY reccomend this toy!

My Grandsons like long trains so I bought several "Thomas" cars to go with the HO scale starter set I purchased for Christmas. The only problem I have with this item is the problem I have with the set--it is difficult to uncouple the cars. I devised a tool from some flat aluminum stock to insert under the couplers which I can use to un-couple the cars; however, my 5-year-old Grandsons find it difficult to use. They find it frustrating, but they haven't broken one yet. I guess that's good.

First of all, I don't work for Bachmann...no affiliation. I have had a number of HO train sets, to include Marklin (German). All of the Bachmann train components that I have purchased thus far, have been very high quality. Thsi includes the transformer, the track, the engines, and cars. It's a great value, and I will be buying more components. My 3 1/2 year old grandson loves the train, and has no difficulty with it. He needs some help with putting cars on the track, but other than that, can operate it himself. Thomas and friends is a huge hit, and I recommend this set to anyone with little people who love trains.Gund Sesame Street Everyday Elmo 25" Cushie

LeapFrog Learn & Groove Alphabet Drum
The drum has 3 different playing modes: Alphabet mode, music mode and dancing mode. On alphabet mode, every time it is tapped upon, it displays a letter of the alphabet while speaking it loud, in order. On music mode, it plays music and rhythmic lights, inviting the kid to tap on the drum and in dancing mode, it tries to suggest movement to the kid with voice commands and pictures (clap your hands, hit the drum, etc).
The drum has 2 language settings (English or Spanish) and also a volume control (low and high settings). The high setting is not very loud.
Unlike some other reviewers say, this drum does not teach counting. They probably refer to an older drum model from leapfrog (look for leapfrog learning drum here on amazon). This one only teaches the alphabet.
In all, this seemed a great idea to me. The drums' reaction to the child movements would encourage tapping on it, teaching cause/effect relationship. I did not care much about the alphabet as my son is too young for that, but didn't mind if he got some introduction to it anyway.
So, what are the design flaws?
Well, to start, the sound made by the drum when hit is very low. On music and dancing mode, you can barely hear it as it is completely shaded by the background music, which is played independently of hitting the drum. Still on the music and dancing modes, the drum lights follow some random patterns, that is, they keep drawing figures on the drum whether it is being hit or not. When a child taps the drum, the figures change, but as they would have changed anyway, it is not easy to realize that the change was caused by hitting.
So much for cause/effect relationship on these 2 modes.
Only on the alphabet mode, it is easier to realize that tapping the drum has an effect on it, as it speaks loudly and displays a letter in reaction. For my one year baby though, this effect is not very interesting, as he will tap very quickly on the drum causing the alphabet to be interrupted and he will not even look at the letter because his little hand is tapping on it. I believe that with time, he may do it more patiently.
Another terrible flaw is the sound made by hitting the drum, if you manage to hear it. There are several different possible sounds (as if they were the sounds of a multiple drum table), some of them quite nice, others quite boring. And it doesn't seem to be a way of choosing the sound, so sometimes your hit is rewarded with a clear sound, other times with a barely noticeable thugh.
In all, these flaws completely remove one of the things I expected my kid to learn from this toy, which is cause/effect relationship. So far, he has not been enthusiastic of the toy, though he will play with it for a few minutes if I show it to him and tap on it first.
My recently one year old twin grandsons love this toy.It far exceeded my expectaions. The graphics are great both for the alphabet and the numbers and they enjoy the dancing figure with the music. They love music and really do learn and groove with this interactive toy.The age guidelines on this toy are appropriate and I look forward to them combining the drum with their maracas as they grow and become increasingly creative with these toys.

I bought this drum for my 7 month old and he enjoys it quite a bit.It seems to have a very repetetive program in the drum and music modes (a 7 month old can't tell the difference, but I would expect that an older child would).Overall it's pretty nice and the volume control is especially appreciated.

I got this for my daughter and she loves it.She likes to roll it around on the floor and hit/kick it.She was a little under 6 months old when I got it and was having a little hard time sitting up (no problem crawling though), and after having this toy, she got sitting up down pat within a couple of days.It allowed her to lean on it for support while she played it.Plus, it encouraged her to sit up.
She loves pounding on it with her hands for quite some time.Like one other reviewer said, I do wish that you could hear the drumming that the child actually makes a little better.I wish that there was a mode where it only made a sound when you "drummed" on it, but oh well... can't have everything.
Her daddy loves it too. They spend a lot of time after he gets off work playing with the drum and dancing to the music. They have gotten quite a bit of quality "Daddy-Baby" time in.
It is also nice that it shuts off when it hasn't been moved for quite some time.I am sure this really has saved on some batteries. It has some type of sensor in it that can tell if the drum is on its side or if it is upright. If it is on its side and it rolls a little bit, it kicks on, but that isn't a problem. It helps keep the baby interested in it when she bumps it.Also, if it is on its side, it functions differently in the modes. For example, if it is in the "A-B-C" mode, then when it is on its side, it works more like a normal drum.I guess the thinking is if it is on its side, then the child can't see the lights to learn the ABC and is using it more like a drum tucked underneath their arm.I don't know, but just a guess.
I also love the volume. The soft is pretty soft where you can easily talk over it and it is more like background noise. The loud isn't too loud so I was able to take it to the doctor's office and have her play with it in the exam room without other patients being able to hear it outside of the room.
Overall, I would highly recommend this toy.My daughter (and husband) like playing with it.She loves the sounds, rolling it around, chewing on it, and the lights.Very good buy!My son received this toy for his first birthday. We thought it would be a fantastic learning device for cause and effect (banging = sounds). Instead, we discovered what another reviewer did, and that's how inaudible the actual drum sounds are. There is constant background music on each setting that completely drowns out the drum sounds. If I show him how to hit the drum with his hand, he'll do it for a few seconds. But soon, he walks away because he can't distinguish between the soft drum noise and the rest of the music that is playing and doesn't realize he's doing anything at all. It's a little frustrating, but maybe it'll be of more value to us when he's more familiar with the alphabet. Light show, maybe, but definitely not a "drum."

Price was good, shipping was quick and the 2 lamps were delivered in perfect condition. However, the lamp is incorrectly listed on Amazon as being 8-Diopter when it is a 5-Diopter. That is the reason for my lower rating. It clearly states on the boxes the lamps came in that they are 5-Diopter and the product number on the boxes and lamps matches the number ordered. The lower magnification works okay for my use, but some who order this item may not be able to use the 5-Diopter.I purchased the magnifier lamp a couple of months ago to replace an older one that no longer worked. This lamp is by far a higher quality lamp than what I had. The daylight or natural light of the lamp is great for artists, as it shows the true colors of whatever you're working on. As a jewelry designer & beader, at times I need a magnifier to see tiny details & the magnifier in this lamp is extremely helpful for that. All in all, I feel that the quality is worth what I paid for it. It was delivered on time, already put together, & all I had to do was mount it on my table, plug it in, & it was ready to use.I work with clocks, and there are times when I need to really SEE what I'm doing. This magnifier with the light is *perfect* for the job!I ordered for one of my service techs for a wireless tech center. He needs the light due to the way the tech room is set up.He used it for 45 days and then the lamp stopped working.Problem is the bulb is not replaceable. So instead of just replacing the bulb I have to purchase another one. This time the bulb will be replaceable.
Lipper International 513BL Child's Table and 2-Chair Set, Blue and White
Unfortunately, while this table looks great, it's construction is very cheap. Underneath the solid veneers of the larger/thicker pieces of the table are nothing more than cheap, pressed particle wood. This is especially true in the table and chair legs. Within a year of purchase, the legs on our table began to wobble. Then they wobbled worse, and worse, and finally the fastening nut in one of the table legs popped out and it collapsed on my son. At first, I thought it was because he was putting too much pressure on the table top. But the truth was that the fastening nuts used to secure the legs to the tabletop are embedded in nothing but cheap, compressed particle wood. And while I will accept partial blame for the table collapsing because I have a tendency to overtighten screws and bolts on my son's furniture (I'm a new dad), I will not accept blame for the garbage materials used to construct this table. If the table and chair legs were made out of solid wood vice particle, then this incident never would have happened. Unfortunately, nothing is made of real, solid wood anymore...it's just too expensive and not very "green."
So a word of caution. If you do buy this table, DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN the bolts on the table and chair legs. If you do, it will eventually cause the nuts in the legs to pull out of the particle wood. First, your table will wobble, and eventually the wobble will become so bad that it will render the table dangerous for a child to use.
UPDATE: August 2012
Ignoring my own review above, and not being able to find another table for my (now) 5 year old son, I purchased another one of these horrendous tables. This time, I assembled the table without tightening the screws too tight. I thought that might work, but something inside me knew that this table would not last the year...I was right.
It has been less than a year and one of the table legs has already broken off specifically due to the tightening nuts inside the cheap particle wood coming loose, and then eventually ripping out completely. My son almost smashed his face in on the table this time when he pushed down on the table to get up from his chair. Ridiculous...these things are UNSAFE and should be completely removed from the market. I have a feeling these things are made in China.
DO NOT BUY!!! DO NOT BUY!!! DANGEROUS!!! CHEAP!!! JUNK MATERIALS!!! SHODDY CONSTRUCTION!!!We bought this for our daughter.Loved it!Beautiful. Was warned to be very gentle putting it together we did and didn't split any of the pieces. On day #1, the table was scooted a bit to make room for something and one of the legs splintered wobbly leg now, which cannot be fixed. Now, every time the kiddo pushes on the table the least little bit, we have to re-stabilize the leg to keep it from falling off.Recommend being very careful make sure to pick it up to move it.We've grown weary of trying to keep it together (we've had it about 2 months), so we're simply going to look for something different.
