Streets of Malifaux 3D Terraclips

Streets of Malifaux 3D TerraclipsWhat to say about terraclips...

They are a lil expensive

You get a whole lot for what you paid for

You need to buy an additional item (the clips) to even put them together

They are double sided, but a lil flimsy, not as strong as d&d hard stock tile, but better than paper.

The ink printed in nice, but again not as nice as the d&d hard stock tiles.

The clips do well to hold the pieces together, its nice and sturdy.

Making buildings higher than 3 levels can be a lil awkward, meaning the pieces will inevitably not stick together all straight.

One box will get you make 2 square feet of a decent creation depending how high you want to go with them.

If youve never expirienced terrain before youll get annoyed by just popping them out. (theres a lot to pop out and many tiny pieces.)

If you put theladders together you better hope to keep them together because deconstructing them there is a possibility you will bend them.

Deconstructing anything you make, you run the risk of bending the pieces, especially the railings, they are very flimsy.

Overall, its a great idea, they are flimsy but an expirienced and careful miniature enthusiast will have no problem creating amazing wonders.

Multiple sets can be used to create giant citys or dungeons.

Theres no offical 1 inch grid for d&d minis, however if you can find a close up pic of a tile you can see there are vague lines that show 1 inch squares. (built in with the picture instead of being a solid black line)

I would recommend these to anyone expirienced in terrain or miniatures, however if your just starting out go for the d&d essentials tile or d&d harrowing halls tile. Get aquanted and move up to these amazing 3d wonders.

This product may seem a bit costly at first glance and the fact that you have to buy the terraclips separately may be a bit of a pain...but this is made from Heavy stock card and feels quite durable! In addition it is built in such a way that models can actually stand on the stairs (don't need to play enough movement to fully clear the entire stairwell).

This adds a nice dimension to many model based game (be it Malifaux, or some other games where the setting fits).
