After searching for a table and chair set for my very active toddler, I finally decided on this set due to the craftsmanship and the design. So many of the table and chair sets for kids are poorly made and show wear and tear very quickly. I bought a set of chairs from a very high end store only to find out when I came home that the legs were different lengths and the chairs Tetter-tottered which is not good for a toddler at all!
I saw this table and chairs in a store and I was impressed with how compact the set was with all of my son's toys, push cars, ride ons, space is at a premium. The curved designs of the backs of the chairs allow it to fit perfectly with the table. That design also makes it really comfortable for my little guy to sit in and keeps him in the seat unlike a flat backed chair that he could easily fall out of (he is under 2 and just learning about gravity). I also sit in the chairs with him for arts and crafts and for some of his snacks. We build blocks in the chairs, and he loves to get involved with what I am doing in the kitchen. So I bring him a small portion of what I am working on today he tried to grate nutmeg, haha.
I have the espresso set and it perfectly matches our open floor plan kitchen and dining room table. We get compliments on it every time someone comes over and they are easy to clean. My son chews on everything and has no bite marks on the wood.
I highly recommend this table and chairs set! This is a cute design with stool so parent can join in, but it is not worth $200. After 2 years a chair leg split, table had signs of wear and bolts were loosening. We have had this for 4 years, our 2 daughters use it, but now the chairs have all lost the screws that hold them together and I cannot figure out how to salvage them. Poor quality for the money!
