While I am still a little disappointed that these won't match my Armies of Middle Earth 3" LoTRs miniatures, the extra articulation and more versatile weaponry more than makes up for it.These figures are larger than the 3" sized AOME (the dwarfs are almost a full head taller than AOME Uruk-Hai), but the detail and facial expressions are almost as good and match those from the movie.The weapons for The Hobbit figures are similar, but with more places to store them like workable scabbards and slots in the straps on their backs that match the way the real characters holster their weapons.Some of the articulation is a bit stiff, but poseable once it's been adjusted a bit.Balin has a bit of a balance issue with his pointed-toe shoes, and I would have liked something on the packaging to explain how the different weapons are holstered and where they belong.I look forward to collecting the rest of this series and adding them to the display of my LoTRs figures.Save 29% Off
