this crystal growing set is sure a lot of fun, but it is very hard to do the projects, and IT DOSEN'T GROW AS BIG AS IT SHOWS ON THE COVER. it grows very small. But this toy is fun for growing stuff. IT IS VERY MESSY!!!!!!!!!!!!
My 9 year old twins and I opened up our set today. There are a lot of instructions to read. This is not something that children can do on their own, it was a lot of watching mommy handle the chemicals and boiling water. The thing that disturbs me most is the protective goggles included with the set. My son pointed out the warning label on them which reads "WARNING! This is a toy. Does not provide protection."
