This chess set is GREAT, especially for the price! I was very pleasantly surprised when my son (11) opened the box and I saw how nice the board was. The chess men and checker pieces are great! I would definitely recommend this product!
I wanted to buy a quality game set in order to teach my children some of the games that I found challenging as a child.Unfortunately I purchased this classy-looking item only to receive a fairly nice board and decent chess pieces, but the checkers look like they were to the result of a failed 4th grade wood shop product.Honestly, for the price, I expected better quality.Oh well, live and learn I suppose.Hopefully, my learning will save a few others out there and you won't have to spend the additional $$ on buying decent checkers for this game.
